  1. Milano is a Bill and Tremaine isn't because Milano got drafted and paid first. We couldn't afford to pay both, and need to invest in the offense as well. Especially with what Tremaine got in the open market. But keep you biased hit campaign going, I know its your schtick.
  2. I am also excited to see how the defense plays if McD calls the plays myself. The defense is getting a little make over though, so hopefully we fill the new holes with competent players too where McD can be aggressive in games.
  3. I am not sure why they used him different, but they definitely did. Personally, I think while the system installed was McD's, I think it had more to do with how Frazier moved the pieces around and called plays inside McD's system. I would actually be quite curious to what it would look like if McD called the D with Edmunds still in it, but obviously that won't be happening. For whatever reason, they frequently use Edmunds more like a 3rd safety than an attacking LB. And my personal opinion as to why is I think because of Edmunds freakish athleticism they feel like he can make up a lot of ground fast. They did seem like they turned Edmunds more loose this year too and he ended up having his best year where he was used to attack the ball more. We will see what happens in Chicago, but I think Edmunds is going to prove better than all the people cheering his departure think. People cheered Fletchers departure too and regretted it later. I was fine not resigning him as we need to divert some of the money from the D into the offensive line now, but I do think Edmunds is going to do well in Chicago. Just my 2 cents
  4. Gotcha, but I was seeing earlier in this thread a couple people mention some 3 way trade with us getting DK Metcalf rumor. So when you put him on your list, I thought it had to do with that. It was that rumor I was wondering where it was coming from...you having a personal wish list I get, just didn't understand where this other rumor was coming from.
  5. I totally get the QB comparisons, but D-Hop didn't have a bunch of injuries or the dropsies. Jeudy has had both. And again, I am not at all against trading for Jeudy on his potential, I am just objecting to the compensation being so steep to get him. I would do it in a heart beat for a 3rd, but Broncos won't go that low, and I could stomach a 2nd. But some were suggesting multiple 2nd's, or a first and a player like Oliver or Davis. That was were I was like that is way too expensive. And thanks for the compliments, the feeling is mutual. Ultimately, the way I see things is that I am looking at a 2 year SB window before this team sees a lot of transition of the roster and maybe even the staff. If we traded for Hopkins, it would likely be on a restructured deal that would probably mean he is here 2 years before the team gets outs. Jeudy has one year and then a 5th year option, so essentially trading for him only assures us 2 years. If Jeudy excels next to Diggs with Allen, he might be too expensive to resign in 2 years unless we move on from Diggs. And if he doesn't have a big market, that likely means he didn't live up to the trade compensation if we gave up a lot to get him. So the only assurances I see is both would be here 2 years, during the peak of this rosters SB window as its made up now. I would rather have the elite WR in Hopkins for that run than a guy who has potential, but has not lived up to his draft expectations. Especially if it was cheaper to acquire Hopkins. Then draft a young WR or 2 during the couple of drafts to develop behind them and get multiple years out of them on a rookie deal during Allens prime years. But again, I won't be upset at all if we trade for Jeudy, we need WR help...I just pray its not for the prices I see floating around this thread.
  6. Why do people here keep speculating on DK Metcalf? I have not found a single tweet even remotely suggesting any kind of DK trade, or any news for that matter, let alone to the Bills. So where is this coming from? And why would they trade DK after signing Geno anyway? Not only can not I not find anything about a DK trade rumor, nothing about a trade DK even adds up for Seattle after extending him last year and paying Geno.
  7. With the way the market is going, maybe we can get Poyer back on a reasonable deal. I would be good with that
  8. Well to make matters worse, some were wanting to offer more than a first for Jeudy. If we traded #27 for Jeudy and a 3rd, then that is a different convo. I could handle that more than trading a first and Oliver/Davis like people have been suggesting. But, I still think getting Hopkins for less and then drafting someone in the next 2 years to keep on a rookie deal for the 4-5 more years after that is more appealing.
  9. One of the few voice of reasons here
  10. The number 1 WR in the NFL was traded for a 2nd round pick. Potential or no potential, he is not worth the price of a first rounder. He has underwhelmed. He was a talented player coming out, but his bad QB play doesn't excuse his drops and injuries. Again, not at all against getting Jeudy, but just against giving up a package that suggests he is a top 5 WR because he has not played anywhere close to that compensation. Broncos have 2 years of him still on a rookie deal with a ton invested into their QB and now their offensive guru HC. Why suddenly are trying to trade one of their few young talents? Especially in a year they gave up so much to get a HC to fix the offense?
  11. This is my top target in FA for the defense, hope he comes here.
  12. I actually think he is going to be someone to watch. I have seen a number of people linking Bills interest to David now.
  13. Agree on that, we must get Allen more protection and weapons. But Jeudy isn't worth that much IMO. I would rather trade a 3rd for 2 years of Hopkins, who is definitely better than Jeudy, then draft someone in the next 2 drafts to groom to succeed Diggs and Hopkins and have 4-5 years of him in Allens prime on a rookie deal. We are in a very short SB window. Many of our best players on both sides of the ball are getting up there in age and/or trying to recoup from injuries. This roster could look a lot different 2 years from now. Hopkins significantly increases our SB chances these next 2 years and would cost less draft capital than you are suggesting paying for Jeudy. I mean a passing offense of Allen, Diggs, Hopkins, Davis, Shakir, and Knox...not to mention Cook and Hines as receivers out of the backfield would be a nightmare to defend. Elite route runner with elite hands and size like Hopkins brings so much to the table in bad weather too where the ground neutralizes speed. Then we add a tough runner like a Jamaal Williams, D'Onta Foreman, or someone in the draft to go with a revamped OL and we will be on our way to being the best offense in the league again. Again, I will be fine to still get Jeudy, just not at the prices I am seeing in this thread.
  14. That is how he was used here. I have said for a while, the thing most people hate the most about Edmunds has more to do with how he is used in our system. No one compared him Urlacher, one of the best LBs of the past 30 years. But, I think Edmunds is going to show he is more than what he was here now that he is in Chicago.
  15. Thats just the thing, I did not dismiss him. I said trading a first and good player for a guy who averages 700 yards and 3 TD's, struggled with drops, and has had injuries is not a good value. Hopkins in his 20's and prime was traded for a 2nd round pick as the best WR in the NFL. No way Jeudy is worth that much. Im totally fine trading for Jeudy, all I ever said is that Denver is reported asking for too much for any of their 3 WR's and I wouldn't want to over pay when we can get Hopkins for less. If we traded say Oliver or Davis and like a 5th, sure, no problem from me. But I have no interest in trading a first, and I definitely have no interest on trading more than a first.
  16. Remember when people ran Hughes out of town last year because he couldn't get sacks after a 2 sack season? Well he put up 9 sacks this year in Houston after supposedly being washed. Hughes averaged 4 sacks in 5 seasons with Frazier, and 8 sacks in 5 seasons without Frazier, including this past year with 3 seasons of 9 or more. I have a feeling Edmunds is going to be even better now that he is not stuck with Frazier anymore. Just like how London Fletcher was never the issue despite this whole board making him the "Edmunds" like whipping boy while he was here. I was fine for cap reasons not resigning him, but don't be surprised when Edmunds really excels in Chicago.
  17. Come on bud, I totally respect you as a poster, so no disrespect, but you can't be serious. For a WR who averages 700 yards and 3 TD's for his career? Wow, I have no idea how you get to that value. I mean Hopkins in his prime was traded to the Cardinals for a 2nd round pick when he was the consensus best WR in the NFL. And you think a first and someone like Oliver or Davis is what Jeudy is worth? Why because of a college season 4 years ago? Because its not based on his NFL resume. He has struggled with drops, had several injuries, and has not lived up to his draft hype, not even with Russel Wilson as his QB. Come on bud, that is crazy. And I would puke if we gave that much up for Jeudy, and I am not even against trading for him. I just prefer a cheaper move to get Hopkins. I love Beane and one of his biggest supporters, but I would turn on him in a second if he gave up a first and a good player for Jeudy.
  18. Wait...people here are not taking a worthless tweet from a nobody that has literally no value or mention anywhere else online or twitter as some sort of legit rumor right? This is 100% fake, people need to please stop speculating on it, total waste of time. There is 0 truth to this, and Rams are not entertaining offers for Kupp anyway, according to every source in LA.
  19. They aren't "moving on" from him as if he is the problem. The Cardinals are unloading cap and going into a retool because they have too many issues. Hopkins value in the next 2 seasons, both of which are more rebuild years for AZ with a new GM and new HC. Moving Hopkins to get assets towards that miny rebuild is why they are doing it, and he is their best trade chip.
  20. So you don't think our offense is instantly better with DeAndre Hopkins?
  21. Fixed You realize Hopkins is only 6 months older than Diggs right? These two can play side by side as the best tandem in the NFL for at least the next 2 seasons during Allens prime and our best SB window. Just calling it a "drug suspension" makes it sound worse than it was. Yes he made a mistake in recovery from his first serious injury the year before, but its not something that has the threat of being an ongoing character issue. Allen, Diggs, Hopkins, Knox, Shakir with a new rebulit OL and someone like Jamaal Williams or D'Onta Foreman to add some grit to our run game along side Cook and Hines might be the scariest offense in the league next year. And that still leaves room for adding more to the offense in the draft still.
  22. Im not saying that isn't true...I am saying the only person controlling it is Rodgers himself. Jets and Packers have a deal worked out, the only person holding up the deal is Aaron Rodgers, and where other QB's sign or don't sign has no impact on Aarons personal decision. So the point is, what other QB's are doing around the NFL has no impact on the odds the Jets get Rodgers because it is not in the Jets control, the decision is now squarely on Rodgers shoulders.
  23. In the thread on the signing, there is a very long write up profile on him and it sounds very encouraging. Only has drawn 2 flags in his whole career so far, which brings much needed discipline to the OL. And he has great versatility where he can play G and C, but also lined up in the backfield as well. Write up even referred to him as a guy that Dallas should try and keep. I didn't know much about him prior to reading the write up, but it definitely read well and seems encouraging, like one of those signings we will look back at and say Beane was a wizard again at finding value.
  24. Yeah, obviously a restructure would certainly have to be part of the trade. But I have no doubt Hopkins would do that to play with Allen along side Diggs and have a chance at a ring.
  25. It actually doesn't impact the odds of him to the Jets at all. GB and Jets have already agreed on the trade...its not in the Jets hands. Its all in Rodgers hands, so this move makes no impact on whether Rodgers personally decides to go play for the Jets IMHO. Raiders had not shown any interest or attempts to trade for Rodgers, its really just the Jets. But I do LOVE that Rodgers is already screwing the Jets by lingering on his decision and completely handcuffing them during FA and costing them to miss out on other QB's like Jimmy if he ultimately decides to not go there. Brady told TB the night before FA he was going there, gave them time to handle FA accordingly. Jets are sitting on their hands because the don't know for sure if they will be paying ARod a ton this year or not.
