  1. So you liked him for several years now then one game he didn’t do the commentary to your liking and you’re done with him? Lol
  2. Facts right there bud, good post. One more thing I know is people are grossly under estimating the impact not having Edmunds the last 6 quarters has on our pass defense, not to mention our injured secondary and one of our best pass rushers in Groot. What so many people here forget or just flat out don’t know/understand is that the pass rush up front is greatly impacted by the quality of coverage. Unless they get a free release, the pass rush needs time to get home on the QB, and that comes when the pass defense, (something Edmunds has a big impact on as well) takes away reads and makes a QB start having to go through progressions. This is one the reasons we blitzed more this past week than normal, we were missing Edmunds with a depleted secondary, along with Groot who had 6 sacks before getting hurt a couple weeks ago. Credit Frazier with making adjustments to get more pressure when we were short handed.
  3. Definitely needed Edmunds that second half. D was doing fine until Edmunds didn’t return in 2nd half.
  4. Yet we managed to convert that into just 2 TD's. Had we been playing KC and didn't achieve a first until late into the 2nd quarter, we likely would have been 3 scores entering halftime and lost that game. That was the point. Playing it safe, we kept kicking FG's...anyone really think we beat KC kicking FG's, let alone not achieving a first down until 7 min left in the half? You would be hard pressed to find a bigger fan of Allen than me. I am not panicking or dumping on him, and I assume the win will help everyone relax and play more loose again this week. My only point is that I just hope this subdued Josh was a temporary thing last week and we see Josh play more free and fiery this week as he has since he has been here.
  5. Certainly hope you guys are correct and its still limiting him, which would be better than him being healthy and still having some of these up and down struggles. Like I said, still high on him overall, just would like to see him get better separation and have better focus on his catches. Its just too many drops, and its hurt us and killed drives during this slump the offense has been in and out of the past 4 weeks.
  6. Totally agree it definitely impacted him back then, but I am just saying I don't think its been a thing for him in several weeks now. But I don't have any insight on that other than he has been full go every since with no injury designation I recall seeing.
  7. But why do you think it still bothers him? I dont recall him being limited or on the injury report. I don't think he gets to lean on this excuse given that was many weeks ago at this point and it was minor.
  8. I get that, but his bum ankle was weeks ago, and it has nothing to do with his career catch rate being a lowly 54% or him being 3rd in the NFL in drops. I am still high on Davis and optimistic on him overall, and there is no doubt this offense needs him. I am just saying I am concerned by the lack of separation lately on his routes and low catch rate and drops.
  9. Im not ready to write him off or say he can't be a legit #2 to Diggs. I came into the season with sky high optimism for Davis, even felt it was possible he could lead the team in TD's and possibly yardage thanks to his big play ability and softer coverage playing opposite Diggs. But, I have to admit, while you have valid points above, he has not risen to the occasion. He is I believe 3rd in the NFL in drops, has a career catch rate of 54%, and he isn't getting consistent separation. I forget what DB it was, I think it was Patterson after Vikes game, but they said he basically runs three routes and that makes it easier to cover. I think the biggest issue is Davis hasn't evolved as a route runner and getting separation as much as we thought he would. With teams now keying on him and having plenty of tape on him, it seems easier to take him out of games as the season has worn on. Even when he makes catches, a lot of them are him coming back to the ball draped in coverage. So I remain cautiously optimistic on Davis, but I am concerned about his ability to gain separation and his catch rate right now.
  10. We had plenty of intensity for a major part of the season. However, this last week against the Browns was very unfamiliar, especially Josh Allen. Every week, Allen is fired up, he is constantly showing fire and passion all game long amongst himself, but also to all his teammates on both sides of the ball. He plays with an edge that he can do anything and no one can stop his will to win. But this week against the Browns, that Josh was not there and the overall team lacked his normal intensity and passion too. I do not know if its because he was so down on himself and putting all the blame on himself for the past 3 games where we went 1-2 and the Bills had bad second halves, or if it was the coaches really trying to reel him in some and focus on less risks. Whatever it was, it was not the Josh we have known and that is a big concern. He played Sunday not to lose rather than his usual win at all costs. I have been referring to it as neutered Josh since that game because that is what it felt like. We will not go into KC and win in the playoffs...or beat them here at home...if we don't have the balls to the wall, no one can stop me, Josh Allen. That is a major part of what makes him special. And yes, we won the game and still put up 31 points...but did we really beat them or did Cle beat themselves? They had 3 easy missed TD passes, two flat out dropped while wide open on back to back plays to see them settle for a FG. And another wide open that Jacoby just missed the throw a little high. They fumbled a snap giving us a free FG after we yet again couldnt get a first down. Then Davis fumbled the onside kick and the Browns player couldn't wrangle it in despite getting 2 hands on it with only a 1 score lead for us. We still only have 1 TD in the last 4 games in the 2nd half, we settled for a ton of FG's against the Browns, and the offense had only amassed 12 yards in the first quarter and a half. Against KC we would have been down 21 points at least if we had 12 yards of offense in the first quarter and a half. Browns lost that game more than we won it. Nothing about that game felt like resolved issues. The offense was anemic, Josh wasn't firery like he normally is, he didn't take chances, he didn't push the ball. End result...195 yards passing. I love Josh, and I still think him and Mahomes are the class of the NFL without question...but this Allen...this offense we saw on Sunday...it won't get it done against better teams. So I really hope with a win under their belt, Allen regains his confidence to go out and try and smash opponents the way he has. I will take the sample size of the last 2 and a 1/2 years over the sample size of the 2nd half of 3 games any day of the week. We live and die by his ability to take risks and make plays. That is much better than him playing not to lose.
  11. Unfortunately, none of that has anything to do with the Lions team stepping onto the field Thursday. No disrespect, I am just someone that never understood why people compare past teams to present teams with these things, really no relevance at all to how past teams with different players and coaches did in certain situations. Any repeating of past performance is mere coincidence, not at correlation.
  12. Agree. Late season games in Buffalo is not always a home field advantage based on our style of football. We are not a great rushing team and rely on big air play style, which is hard in bad weather. It's why I am not obsessed with home field in playoffs. It's great for Buffalo fans, and certainly is if the weather isnt terrible, but doesn't play to strength of our team if there is severe weather.
  13. Let me cheer you up. In the last 3 games we have played KC, they have all been in KC as we know. We beat them 3 times, twice relatively decisively. The third time, we beat them at Mahomes best but then gave away the game thanks to a ST Coach blunder setting off a bunch of confusion and lost focus by failing to tell Bass (but told everyone else) to squib kick it. That coach resigned and took a lateral job in Jax (same position, way worse team) so the team didn’t have to throw him under the bus and fire him. So, we can beat them in KC again. I’m not worried. What I am worried is how neutered Allen looked this last week. He over corrected and never seen him play so cautious. We WONT beat KC if Allen isn’t playing free and his normal balls to wall style where he doesn’t believe anyone can stop him. This past week he played like he was afraid to make a mistake and hurt the team. We won’t go far in the playoffs if Josh doesn’t have his full mojo where he wants to step in everyone’s throat all game. Not once did he show the same raw passion and emotion during that game. Is body language and facial expressions were not what we are used to seeing from him. He needs to have some big games again to regain his swagger.
  14. Are you saying our offense hasn’t had issues in the last 4 games? BecUse it has. 6 Redzone INTs and a lost fumble. You realize we have scored just one second half TD in the past 4 games? So yeah, it’s been an issue. And Josh came into this game looking like he over corrected to being too cautious. We had a pretty awful first quarter and a half. Season totals don’t tell the picture of the most recent 4 game. Come on, you’re a good poster, I know you realize this.
  15. Here is what I think a lot of people don't realize or just flat our forget about sometimes. The defense is a cohesive unit. What one area does makes life easier or harder on other areas of the defense. For example...pass rush is greatly impacted by how well the secondary is playing, especially when we rush our front 4 only so much. The better the coverage, the more time the pass rush has to get home on the QB. On the flip side, the secondary benefits greatly when the front 7 are playing well and at least bringing pressure. The less time a QB has to throw, the less time the secondary has to hold its coverage. The longer the seconary has to hold the coverage, the bigger advantage the WR tends to have. Its what makes Josh Allen so good on his ability to extend plays and our WRs like Diggs to come back and find holes for allen to throw to. Now...what we have seen is we have been missing all of, or 3/4 of our starting secondary for many games this season. We have also been missing Edmunds the last 6 quarters who is a very big part of our pass defense, and our second best pass rusher who already had 6 sacks before missing the last 2 games in Groot. So we have been missing not just guys, but some of the best players on our D, several of which are amongst the best in the NFL at their respective positions like Hyde, Poyer, and Tre. Then our #1 pick this year and #1 pick last year have missed time too, both of which have been significant contributors this season in both pass rush and pass defense respectively. I am much more worried about the neutered offense which has mostly been healthy than I am about our defense which has been crushed by injuries.
  16. I said we won the game. It was over. Then…Allen fumbled the game away. And our defense was doing fine until we lost Edmunds in the second half. Tre had nothing to do with why we lost.
  17. Thank you for an honest take. That is sadly a rare thing on this board, and it's a refreshing surprise. Although I am not suprised its coming from you since you have long been an even keeled and logical poster. Doesn't mean people have to be on board with resigning him, but it was categorically proven over the last 6 quarters of football that this defense is worse without Edmunds. And when Edmunds was missing games and playing hurt in the past, the defense was worse. I am still on the fence about resigning him based on what it might cost and our cap situation. But I can tell you two things I am sure of...this defense degrades when two of our pending FA's are not in the game...Poyer and Edmunds. And the fact both may not be back next year is a lot to worry about, especially for the crowd that does NOT want to draft defense early next year. I just can't fathom Beane will let both walk, and honestly both may be retained still too. But if we do lose both Poyer and Edmunds and enter the draft with big holes at MLB and Safety to go along with needing WR and OL help, well that is going to be a lot of holes to try and fill in one off season.
  18. Yet we wont the game until Josh Allen fumbled the game away Or he just isnt ready. You aren't a doctor, nor have you examined him.
  19. Oh I agree, but despite all that happened in each game, it also came down to something as simple as a missed FG in Miami (not to mention a fumbled FG snap at end of half by backup snapper), and missed FG against Jets, and a fumbled snap by Allen. Each of those games, despite any other issues those games, could have been won if not for those single plays. My main point was just that it was offensive issues that cost us those games, not Tre White not playing. None of that had anything to do with Tre is the point. We had chances to win all 3 games, and basically had won the Vikings game, but the offense lost us all 3.
  20. It’s not over a year, it won’t even be a year until thanksgiving. No two players recover the same. Tre is not why we have 3 losses. All 3 losses are on the offense and Bass. Playoffs are substantially more important than regular season.
  21. Cleared to play and ready to play are not remotely the same thing though. He was cleared to return to practice sure. But he still hasn’t played a down of football in a year. He still has to get into game shape, he still has to test the injury and see how it’s responding, he still has to rebuild all the strength and ability to cut and change directions, etc etc. Sorry, no disrespect but he will be ready when he’s ready. The absolute worst thing to do would be to rush him back into the game. And the reality is…we lost to Vikings because we fumbled the game away after the game was over. We lost to Dolphins because Bass missed a FG, we lost to Jets because they hit their 50+ yard FG and we missed ours. In other words, if not for the offense, we would be undefeated right now. Tre is not the problem. For people to pile on someone not coming back sooner from a serious injury is not really fair to Tre.
  22. Where did you get your medical degree? Also, can you share your notes with us from when you examined Tre and worked with him on his rehab so we can all be on the same page as you with this over the top demand you have placed on him.
