  1. One of the biggest wastes of talent I’ve seen. He had it all except the passion/drive and mental make up to maximize that talent. Could have been a true top number 1 WR - pure talent wise - but he just wasn’t mentally built to become more than a role player. He got paid and was cool after that. He didn’t have the drive to push himself and lead. That being said, I would be fine adding him to the PS as a potential role player if needed here.
  2. Sometimes you need to look a little more deeper into things then just reading a box score.
  3. The issue is teams adjust to Dorsey at halftime and he doesn’t respond. The biggest issue is most of our yards come off Allen improvising because our receivers are not getting open on their routes initially. And a big part of that is play design. Allen is so talented he keeps over coming these play calling short comings, but doesn’t mean they aren’t an issue.
  4. Rant incoming: I am so sick of hearing about the weather for this game. All the talk about this game is about the stupid weather as if Miami will only lose because of the weather. No one remotely talks about the dangerous weather conditions the Bills faced and all the injuries the first game. But this game is being made out to be Tua and Miami vs the weather instead of the Bills. Miami is coming off two games where they finally played good competition and got exposed. Fins fans I know are already down on Tua again as if he was just a product of an easy schedule. Yet here we are heading into a week where they face the number 1 seed in the AFC that statistically dominated them in Miami but narrowly still lost due to extreme circumstances as if this game is not about facing the top team in the AFC, but just about facing the snow. Im over it. It’s so stupid. Bills offense will be limited too. Enough about the stupid weather.
  5. I think Purdy looks pretty good considering. I’d argue the Niners have looked better with Purdy than they did with Jimmy G. Jimmy is a statue in the pocket with maybe the worst pocket awareness in the NFL. Purdy’s pocket mobility and ability to extend plays with his legs is a major plus to this offense. Niners, on the back of a vicious defense, are playing like one of the best teams in football right now. This is not a team you want to play in the playoffs right now.
  6. Agreed! I swear I feel like so many people completely over look this home field cold "advantage" against opponents ALSO affects our team and players too. And our team doesn't play well in the cold either and isn't built for the cold. So why hurt us and what we do well to try and maybe impact the opponent some. And I will say it right now...if it came down to who can run the ball better, I would trust the tandem of Wilson and Mostert more than I would Devin and Cook (who falls down if the wind blows). So lets not try and make this a must run to win game because we will be the ones probably impacted the most. I am not worried about Allens ability to out duel over rated Tua. I am worried about our OL and RB's out rushing the Dolphins if neither team can throw.
  7. He is closer to elite than just a good starting DE. He is on pace for 12 sacks in just his 2nd season after coming in raw as a rookie, and that is after missing 3 games. He is also excellent against the run, which many of the top pass rushers are not. Having a guy who is very good at rushing the passer and very good at defending the run is not as common as people think. Look at who is regarded as the best pass rusher in the NFL out of the front 7 players...Parsons in Dallas. People drool over an elite pass rusher like Parsons, but he is utterly atrocious against the run and bad teams keep exploiting the Dallas defense to keep games close by running the football. I will put it this way...is Groot tradeable right now? I would say he is as close to as untouchable as Diggs and Allen, and he is probably the only such player on the defense right now that the front office 100% would not trade. And if they were to trade Groot, he would fetch a bounty with his unique build and his growth and production in just his second season. So while I agree, maybe saying he is "elite" right now is a bit premature, but I just think he is a lot closer to elite than you think he is.
  8. Don’t disagree on the underwhelming part about some of our guys. But I’d honestly still prefer Brown and Beasley to Hodgins still though personally
  9. Opening day last year. We got Preggos this year and that changed our plans to go this season
  10. I think it is around 5 hours or so, it's not too bad. Coming back its always about 30 min quicker than they say though. Every time I have gone east, the flight back has always landed me home at LAX like 30+ min early than scheduled.
  11. All good bud, and no disrespect what so ever...but there isn't a GM or Coach that would take Hodgins over Davis to be on the football field. So, I am just saying this "fantasy football points" analysis/comparison doesn't really provide accurate context. And it was posted in a thread where certain people are going to take it and run with it to say we made a mistake. The reality is he averages 36 yards a game on a team with no one to throw to and is not the piece this team is missing. I hope he has a good career, sincerely do...but fantasy points or not, he is a bubble WR playing on team decimated at the WR position. This is the same team that is playing David Sills V too who also isn't the one who got away either.
  12. Don't you think phrasing it that way is just another way to exaggerate his production? I mean he has 183 yards receiving over 5 games for an average of 36.6 yards per game to go along with the 2 TD's. He isn't exactly lighting the league on fire. He has 17 receptions in 5 games...so he averages 3.4 Rec, 36.6 yards, for 10 yards per catch, and 0.4 TD's peg game...and on a team devoid of WR's. I like him...I will always root for him...but let's be a little more realistic about who he is, which was not our answer or savior at the WR position. He was healthy this year, and had his best shot to make the roster and still didn't get there. Why...probably because despite leading the team in targets and receptions this preseason, he only managed to average less than 9 yards per catch and couldn't beat anyone out on ST. I hope he does well in NY, but let's be real...he will be a bubble player for them too once they start working to rebuild the WR room. And his achilles heel to making a roster will always be the combo that he isn't a difference maker at WR and also doesn't offer a lot on ST. If you are going to be a reserve WR, it's pretty critical you have some ST value.
  13. Im in the playoffs in all 3 leagues. #1 seed and a bye first round in one, 3rd seed in another, 5th seed in another. 5th seed I have Josh Allen at QB...but also Justin Fields on the bench who has been outscoring Allen lately. With bad weather in Buffalo, I need to decide to start Fields against Eagles...or Allen in bad weather against Miami. UGH. You just know what ever choice I make will end up being wrong...so I might just start Fields to help Josh go off haha.
  14. Honestly don't see the correlation you are trying to make here at all. Its the NFL, injuries are part of the game for all positions. Shorter answer...No.
  15. I am not a fan of Murray as a QB, nor do I think he was worth the money he got even though I get why AZ had to do it. But I never like to see someone get hurt like this, so for that I feel bad for him. But, doesn't change my stance that I think he is mentally weak and afraid of contact when he plays on the field.
  16. Bills lost to a rookie Mac Jones after he threw just 3 passes last year at home. Kelly era teams had Thurman Thomas and a gritty OL. There is no reflection on how this team is built with an unreliable OL and barely existent run game. We wholeheartedly depend on airing it out. This current offense is not built for severe weather, it is a finesse offense, and severe weather has not done the offense any favors or shown the offense has any advantage over others. So, I stand by my point...the severe weather doesn't play into our favor offensively as an advantage, and that Mahomes and Burrow are equally capable of leading their offenses in the same capacity Josh is during bad weather games. Bills Mafia for sure does...but if we get severe weather, that actually neutralizes some of the home field advantage given our current offense doesn't play well in it.
  17. Bills dont play well in those extreme conditions either. So whats your point?
  18. I 100% gurantee if you polled the Bills locker room, coaches and players, on if they prefer to play indoors or outdoors in Buffalo bad weather, the vast majority will select in a dome. What we do best is tied up in a quarter of a billion dollar QB who airs it out. They want to win game, they want to play their best football. Dome is the better choice for true home field advantage where Bills Mafia can make it deafening and the Bills can play their best on the field. Not to mention, our biggest threats in the AFC, and likely will be for years to come...is Cincy and KC, both used to playing in cold bad weather. Don't matter now though, it is what it is.
  19. And there you go...if they all had 112 targets, the list of drops looks quite a bit different. Cole was signed because Josh wanted help...and the drop rate shows why he wanted help.
  20. We are getting short throw drops on critical downs to kill drives and remove points, that is bigger issue here. I am not confusing catch percentage...I am talking about guys who have plays to be made in their hands and don't make the plays. We don't have a duo of Waddle and Hill who can bail us out...we can not afford to drop passes and kill drives. Outside of Diggs, we don't have someone we can depend on to make a tough or contested catch on 3rd down. McKenzie is only good at running fast, he doesn't make touch catches, he goes down if the wind blows, and he can't fight for yards to get a first down. Not to mention, Cole is at the very least one of the most cerebral players in the NFL on the field, he understands how to adjust and get open and fight for a spot for Josh when he is extending plays. That alone is of value. McKenzie has a role...he is best suited as a 4th WR who can create a mismatch and get lost in the defense with his speed and make a play. He is not the guy you ever want to throw to in traffic if you don't have to. Cole doesn't need to give us 7 catches a game to have value...if he can help extend another drive or two a game with a key first down, that alone will be an improvement on what is going on now with the inconsistency of the offense. I think this was a good signing, him and Josh are close, and Josh asked for him to be brought back. That alone is enough to be happy Cole is back. Josh didn't ask for a favor to help his friend...Josh is the one asking for help...and he wouldn't be asking for help if he didn't need it.
  21. Take away drops? LMAO...thats excatly why we signed Cole...to take away drops How many targets did Beasley have compared to the guys on this list?
  22. WE LEAD THE NFL IN DROPS. WE LEAD THE NFL IN DROPS. WE LEAD THE NFL IN DROPS. If anyone is confused why we added Cole to the PS then check above and read that three times to yourself again. Or…read below: WE LEAD THE NFL IN DROPS.
  23. Hurts deserves the MVP. It’s not really a debate right now. Could Allen storm back…maybe, but he would have to have a monster, and I mean monster game against both Miami and Cincy and beat them badly, not to mention do the same with Chi and NE too. And that still may not be enough to over take Hurts unless Hurts has a couple bad games here down the stretch. The reason…Hurts has not had any up and down games, he has 3 INTs on the season. But, who really cares anyway? I don’t care about the MVP, I care about winning the Super Bowl. Nothing else is important.
