  1. Yes haha he is begging or trolling depending how you want to look at it ha
  2. Dont love Dolphins got Cam
  3. I have a feeling Cody Mauch is gonna be a beast
  4. If you look at the Lions players as a whole instead of draft slot...I actually think its a pretty good haul so far. Gibbs, Campbell, LaPorta, Branch 2 of the top players at their positions on defense and almost certain week 1 starters. And 2 potential weapons on offense with the 2nd best RB prospect and the TE who is probably the second best receiving weapon as a TE in the draft behind only Kincaid. I mean they have likely added 3 for sure week 1 starters (Gibbs likely doesn't start right away with the RB depth they have). Sure, its valid to see them going a different direction at 12, but like I said if you look at only the players, it looks pretty good IMHO
  5. Agreed, thought he was going late first or early 2nd
  6. Nevermind...Branch...good pick, thought he was gonna go a little earlier than this
  7. Feels like a WR here for the Lions with Jameson suspended
  8. Too late, he picked Tippmann and hes gone now. Good pick by Jets, though and was one of the guys I was hoping would fall to us. Still torn if I want one of the LBs or one the OL guys to drop to 59, be happy either way.
  9. Agree on Gibbs, thought they would maybe do it at 18. But LaPorta was commonly mocked as an early to mid 2nd round pick, so doesn't feel out of whack here for me personally.
  10. They need a TE, and LaPorta is a weapon
  11. Titans getting a guy they thought they might take in the first here is a nice get for them. Malik Willis was no where near ready last year.
  12. Gotta believe its for Levis
  13. Agreed, Porter Jr to Pitt may have been the most obvious pick in draft history
  14. There is gonna be a run of some corners here early I would guess
  15. Dallas did this when they took both Aikman and Steve Walsh (supplemental draft) in the same year. Redskins did it with RG3 and Cousins. Honestly, don't hate the idea of doubling down on 2 QB's to increase the odds you get one, as the other still would have trade value later. But outside of that, Irsay is really the one of the worst.
  16. Lol, you literally just got snarky with me over a playful joke I made in your thread prior to this one. You wrote: "reading comprehension in an important skill" and then posted a screen shot of your quote from you thread with the sentence circled: "I will commit before the second round starts" and told me to click the link to this post to see said commitment. So I click the link you provided...and poof, its another 10 person list of obvious players that could be options for the Bills in the 2nd round? Lol, sorry that is not a commitment to a prediction of who we will draft. It just comes across as you just hedging your bets so you can manufacture the best odds to say you were right while being wrong on at least the 9 other ones we don't pick. You even added an 11th scenario disclaimer of a Hopkins trade lol. And honestly, I actually liked your last post and I like this one and agreed with both. I will even give you kudos for 2 good write ups, I enjoyed them. I just think these read better if you drop this obvious angle of trying to create 11 scenarios that have high probability to happen so you can say "I was right" if one happens.
  17. Dude it was a joke man, hence the emoticon geesh
  18. One way to be sure to get ones guess right is to list every possible scenario Obvious answer is that it will come down to how the round falls. We have shown interest in no particular order at DL, LB, OL, DB, RB, and WR and any of those outside of RB would be in play for us at 59 if there is a guy there they feel fits the value. One thing we know for sure that Beane won't be afraid to move up to get a guy he feels is sticking out, especially with our overall strength of the roster. There are definitely some guys I could see meeting that criteria for him to move up to get, although they would need to get close enough to our pick where the cost wasn't crazy because I doubt Beane would be willing to give up an early pick next year like our 1st or 2nd. And now having given up a 4th for Kincaid, trading back is certainly in play if Beane isn't seeing the value. Like @GunnerBillpointed out, with so few first round grades this year, the back end of the draft saw a heavier dose of 2nd round graded players go and could leave Beane in a spot where he trades back and tries to get an extra pick. Im torn on what I a rooting for...On defense, I am hoping we end up with one of the LB's of Sanders or Simpson. DL would be nice too, just LB feels more pressing and hoping one of them gets to us. On offense there are still some very good options on the OL to get Josh some more protection, although I am skeptical the guys sticking out the most will get close to our pick. Still some WR's too, but after adding Kincaid I feel like its less a priority in the 2nd and I think a WR run is gonna happen ahead of us. But if we somehow ended up with say Downs after adding Kincaid for example, wow what a potential arsenal we could field next year. All in all, love when the draft is volatile like this, makes all the picks that much more interesting to watch and excited for tonight.
  19. If they wanted Kincaid, it was definitely necessary as he was as close of a lock as there is in a draft to go to Dallas. So it honestly strictly comes down to how they felt about Kincaid, and they definitely stated he was their guy. Beane also stated if Kincaid was gone, they had a trade back in place because none of the other players had first round grades on his board. Leading up to the draft I kept saying Dallas was a problem and the Giants at 25 make sense for his to move up to and it would cost exactly a 4th this year. And the reason I said Dallas was a problem was because any of the offensive players people thought we might covet if they fell near us were also going to be guys on Dallas's board too. Bijan for example, Kincaid obviously, or also even one of the WR's...all depending on how the board fell. The board fell in a way where there was only one obvious player sticking out and that was Kincaid. Now some can differ on whether or not Kincaid should have been their guy, but based on them being Beanes target when the 25th pick came up, he had to make that move to get him IMHO. Personally, I agree that he was the BPA on the board, so I was fine with them going after the best player. Just hope Dorsey gets this kid the ball now.
  20. I definitely like the signing a lot, I do just have some durability concerns with him as he has dealt with several injuries.
  21. Agreed, Eagles had an excellent draft. I would probably list the Bills as Good given they got a top 15 player at 25, which was amazing value. I can't fault the Pats for their pick per se, but I don't think this pick does much to move the needle for them. The offense is a major achilles heal, especially in the offensive loaded AFC. This was a pretty meh move for me by them. Disagree on the Ugly here for Washington, they got the guy they have been commonly linked to at this pick. I would have personally taken Porter Jr, but I am also not a professional scout. I didn't find the pick surprising at all though and they definitely need corner help. It was ugly day for Levis, I actually thought he was going to be a Pat as he fell to them and Mac trade rumors have been floating around. Maybe they get him in the 2nd though. The team I felt had the worst day were the Bears as I don't understand why they took him with all the other OL guys on the board. The Lions are interesting to categorize for me...they could come out looking like geniuses here or this could have been a thud. While I don't hate their picks at all, taking Gibbs at 12 was a major head scratcher given they likely get him at 18. Especially given they already have 2 good RB's on their roster. Campbell was one of those guys who was second half of round one to first half of round 2 kind of projection. So taking him at 18 was fine IMHO, especially since I think he fits what Dan Campbell wants to do. Bottom line is they got the 2nd best RB and arguably the best LB, so it could work out quite well for them. Just Gibbs at 12 really was a bit confusing given who they have and how early that was. I personally never for a minute thought the Jets would go WR. They have already went WR round 1 last year and got the OROY and then have a good core behind him, including one of Rodgers favorite targets. For me, the one area Rodgers flamed out a lot in the playoffs was poor OL play and getting to him. The Jets still need some serious OL help IMO, and missing out on Jones was great. But I thought Anton Harrison would be the guy there and should have been the pick. I get the defense pick based on who Saleh is, but protecting a 38 year old QB I think will still prove to be there achilles.
  22. Yeah, totally...really the fundamental basis of a message board forum too NFL draft is one of my favorite times of the year too, and this years has gotten off to a wild and interesting start. So really curious how round 2 plays out. I wonder if we see another round of high trade activity or not. This draft is pretty wild in terms of how teams are grading players, teams have very different opinions I think on a number of players, so makes so much less predictable.
  23. Yeah last night was without a doubt the best round I can remember in terms of not tipping the picks. The only one I saw was Chaos tipping of the Jets pick by a minute or two in the shout box and the live thread. That is the one I commented on here in this thread and the shout box, but given he didn't want picks tipped either based on his comments in this thread, I assume it was just an unintentional mistake as he didn't do it again. Honestly didn't notice a 2nd one that you mentioned Gunner. So yeah, I think this thread may have had a nice positive impact because if feels like a lot of picks get tipped every year in the shout box especially despite lots of people asking them to stop. So nice work @CNYfanwith the pre-draft polite request.
