  1. I mean this was pretty obviously their next move...no surprise here
  2. I understand your perspective...and I don't even disagree with it. All I will say though is that there are questionable issues that have been part of our previous losses. So its not just how we lose this game IMHO, its more the body of work. And I am not a McD hater, I think if he was fired he would be the hottest candidate in the NFL. But sometimes, there needs to be a change to evolve into a next step. Lot of people didn't want to fire Dorsey, but look at the difference since Brady has been OC...same personnel last year, same offense...one was 5-5 against low level competition mostly, the other 6-1 against toughest part of our schedule. I am fully confident in McD and this Bills team getting by KC this year, in fact, I fully expect it. And honestly that is why I think his seat has to be hot if we come up short in a game that is not only our best shot at a SB, but a game where we should win against a vulnerable KC team that we already beat and despite their record struggled in a lot of games and against worse opponents than the Bills.
  3. How can anyone not love Mack Hollins at this point
  4. I don't see the fit here personally, but what I am really sad about is we don't get to watch the s**t show of Rex coaching Rodgers which would have been wildly entertaining. Especially when we see the inevitable footage of them on some ayahuasca retreat together where Rex won't stop talking about Mack Hollins feet.
  5. I was yelling at the screen on how bad the Ravens OL was getting away with holding the whole game. There was a sack on Lamar that should have happened much faster as Oliver blew threw the OL to only be held in a clothesline fashion (and even got his face mask if not mistaken) around the neck literally right in front of the ref as he approached Lamar for what would have been an instant sack...no flag. Someone else came free after the fact and got the sack still, but how they didn't throw the flag prior to that in what was one of the most obvious and terrible holds of the game is totally unacceptable. I mean it was front and center so much even showed up on the replays of the actual sack, you can see him in a headlock practically in the background right in front of the ref.
  6. McD is safe. That is a lock. Exceed expectations, beloved by your players, beloved by your superiors = Keeps job. BUT...while expectations have been exceeded, thats old news. We are here now, we have the best shot at a SB in the McD/Allen era THIS year. NO previous season have we been this close, including the AFCCG the first time against the Chiefs where we entered that game clearly the lesser team, a team on the rise but a team that wasn't as balanced or ready. Right now, there are new established expectations...and that is we are the better team, we already beat this team again in the regular season, they barely got by in several of their wins, and many of which were controversial or flat out lucky. Meanwhile, we were decisively beating teams week in and week out and tied a record for most wins by 20+ points in NFL history. A loss this weekend doesn't cost anyone their job, but if we can't get by the Chiefs this time with the team that has played better the whole season, then I think McD has to enter next year on the hot seat in what could, and probably should, be a make it or make the change type season. NOTE: I personally fully believe we will win, it's maybe the most confident I have ever been entering a KC game. And honestly, I am less nervous heading into this game than I was against Denver and especially Baltimore.
  7. Huh? It says he is a respected coach and teams would have interest. What else do you need it to say? And no disrespect, but saying he would get hired quickly is not an odd statement, its most likely the truth. Job openings are open for a reason most of the time...the team isn't currently very good or failing to meet expectations. So what does the quality of those teams have to do with anything relating to McD? I am not sure what it is you want to know/believe from the topic of whether or not McD would get a job quickly if he wasn't with the Bills. One, what debate are you talking about? Two, not sure what the higher level discussions you are referring to, I was only commenting on this string of comments about whether or not McD would get hired if he was available, and its pretty obvious he would. Again this is an odd and silly question. For example, if Detroit shocked the world and fired Dan Campbell immediately after their loss..they aren't going outside the organization to make their next HC hire, it would almost certainly be internal with guys like Ben Johnson and Glenn there. If Washignton suddenly lost Quinn tomorrow, would bet anything Kliff gets the job internally. Just like if the Bills fired McD, we most likely would hire Brady as HC. So its not so cut and dry as to which playoff team would hire McD. But if McD was available and all of the playoff teams lost their whole coaching staffs forcing them to go outside their organization, I am willing to bet he would be on most, if not all, of their short lists.
  8. Kind of an odd question IMO...most playoff teams aren't wanting to swap their coaches at all, so its not like they are sitting over there going well fingers crossed McD gets fired so we can fire ours and hire him. But...when you have a playoff team, hiring a proven HC often has more allure than an unproven first time HC. When you have a team ready to or close to being able to compete/win now, then its going to make a HC with a proven winning record and a reputation for locker room culture a very attractive option.
  9. IMHO McD would be a top candidate for most teams if he had been available before any of the hiring took place. He is highly respected around the league and has one of the best winning % in NFL history in his first gig as HC with a franchise that was inept for almost 2 decades before him. And don't discount how important a culture shift is because its one of the hardest things to do in the NFL and its why so many hot OC candidates flame out as HC's.
  10. Offseason priorities are likely in no particular order: WR, DL, S, and CB. I expect some of this to come from before the draft. That being said, I don’t think Tre solves much for the Bills. One of the reasons we drafted Elam was because we don’t have a lot of speed in our secondary. So far he hasn’t been able to get on the field outside as a backup, mostly because Benford has been so good and fits the scheme better too. I can’t see them going backwards and bringing in an aging vet who lost a step prior to age through bad injuries. I think we will see us add some youth and speed to secondary over a retread, even if that retread is a former Bills great who is beloved by the team and fanbase. Now internally, if they think he has FS potential, then maybe they bring him in and try him there, but feels unlikely IMHO even though Tre was always one of my faves.
  11. We moved the ball fine, we had just marched the field the drive before. I have supreme confidence we win that game regardless of the 2 point conversion. Bills were doing fine until they got conservative and safe in 3rd quarter. They got back to what they do and moved much better in the 4th. The bigger question is does Bass make the kick (I think he does), not if we would have gotten into position or not. We never even turned Josh loose because we didn’t have to. It was crystal clear the game plan was long drives to keep the Ravens off the field. In poor throwing conditions weather wise and against a defense that has been the best in the NFL at defending the 20+ yard plays, they came out intending to let our OL work, control the LOS and slow the game down. Especially once we started winning the turnover battle and got to steal possessions. But in the 4th up just 2, they went back to opening up a little more and we were moving the ball better even though we still weren’t pushing anything really. This is exactly like last year when Bass missed the tying kick. KC and Mahomes had about the same amount of time left and there was no way they weren’t going to win that game as they would have gotten the FG. Allen is elite like Mahomes, he would have gotten us in range even if he had to put his Superman cape on. Especially given there isn’t even pressure, game isn’t on the line, only OT is.
  12. Exactly the same for me. I have never been more confident ahead of a KC game than I am this year and Balt was the biggest matchup concern for me of anyone in the playoffs. I was nervous all week and during the game too. But now I have more excitement than nerves, at least today, as we get ready for KC. It just all feels different this year with this team too. After the game I was walking to the kitchen and just had this incredible vivid vision pop randomly in my head of the confetti coming down on Josh and McD in the Super Bowl after a win…so vivid it felt more like a glimpse into the future. Bills by 2 scores over KC! LFG!!!!
  13. Im not saying they kicked it hoping Andrews has a bad drop. Just saying it’s hard enough to get a TD, but now you’re making them get a TD and a 2 pt conversion. Puts Ravens in a position where not only do they have to do the hard work of getting a long TD, but also they have only one shot at a 2pt conversion leaving no room for error. And we are at home with a defense that has already forced 3 turnovers. For me at 2.5 yards out, it’s a no brainer you take the points there knowing that even if your D allows the score and conversion you are at worst looking at OT, but also likely going to still give Allen a chance to win it in OT on a FG. Now that 3rd down call was atrocious by Brady though.
  14. Cooper isn’t the blocker Shakir, Coleman and Hollins are and I think it limits his role in this offense when we are running a game plan like we did when we are looking to move chains and chew clock knowing the weather and opponent are going to make it difficult throw down field. Same for Samuel as well.
  15. The Andrew’s drop is the entire point of taking the points there. You force them to be perfect needing a TD and 2 pt conversion. Worst case, Josh Allen still had 1:31 left to go win the game in regulation with a FG
  16. Basically what came out after the game was that McD wanted a squib quick and when Heath huddled up the ST unit to deliver the message failed to notice that Bass was not in the group as he was still kicking balls into the net. So McD called for a squib and Heath told everyone but the kicker, which also why so many guys on the field were confused when there was no squib and Bass and kicked it out of the endzone. The other 10 guys were expecting to run down and cover a squib except Bass didn't know he was supposed to squib it. Rather than scapegoat him, McD never directly said anything about it and they let Heath step down and take a lateral move to Jags (although Bills to Jags feels like a step down regardless) without dragging him under the bus.
  17. There is nothing to see here. The interview has no impact on the outcome of this game this week. Its not like Brady flew to Chicago for 2 days and nights to pitch himself and neglected the team or something. These happen every year in the postseason.
  18. My comment wasn't a slight on hiring McCarthy. Hiring McCarthy now that he is available is a big difference than the previous rumors the Bears could look into making a trade with the Cowboys before he had been fired. Wasn't saying he would be a bad hire, saying trading for a guy who was likely getting fired would have been a dumb as trading up 1 spot to get Trubisky and paying a bounty when everyone and their mom knew SF was dead set on taking Solomon and wasn't going to move out the range to get him.
  19. The issue is the insurance companies are cancelling or altering the policy after the mortgage has been underwritten and closed. Once the loan is in servicing these things are less likely to be noticed until later, if at all. Hopefully more regulation and oversight comes into play moving forward after the debacle of what is about to go do down happens.
  20. Systems like Sonos, Samsung, Denon, etc have Bluetooth speakers systems that can run off a central soundbar or amp and be expanded to multiple rooms where rooms can also work independently of each other.
  21. Well this thread was never Bills related, so you are doing fine discussing what you want to discuss. And I certainly hope that is what emerges from this too, significant changes to the shady practices of insurers who can drop you or change your policy without recourse any time they feel the risks have increased. So they are happy to take your very expensive premiums when the risks are lower and then pull the rug or alter your policy when the risk of having to honor the policy increase. It’s criminal and homeowners can’t stop it nor have any recourse or entitlement to a refund of all the money they paid into the policy. If you are going to cancel a home owners policy when risks increase for the need for the policy, then the homeowner should be entitled to a full refund of all the money they paid into the policy when it wasn’t being used immediately upon termination of the policy or immediately upon altering of the policy to nullify coverage. Insurance companies have some of the biggest, most funded, and most powerful lobbyists in the politics though. So common sense laws and swooping change feels like a long shot.
  22. I certainly don’t disagree about how those suits will be hard to win and also will drag out a long time most likely without some sort of government involvement. But, on the other part, you can’t go bare unless you own your home free and clear which there are very few of those in these losses. No lender is going to allow a homeowner to go bare, and since my last post I also found out that they learned that it was a later addendum to the policy not the initial policy which is why the lender accepted it in the first place, otherwise the lender would have denied the policy and the loan would have fallen out before closing on the purchase without finding another suitable policy that had proper coverage. The insurance companies know this, which is probably why they choose to make these changes after the fact because the lender isn’t likely going to know once a loan is in servicing and those lenders are now vulnerable of losing hundreds of thousands to millions on each of those high value homes of real money they handed out. It to me appears to be an intentional shady practice, annd that’s going to be their best angle in my non-lawyer opinion. It helps that It’s not just going to be the homeowners who got screwed, it’s going to be all the banks and lenders too who have the resources to combat the insurance companies. End of the day…the lesson is ALWAYS read your policies and the fine print (which I admittedly haven’t done often enough myself)…but at the same time, insurance companies do their best to hide that and make as hard to find as possible when they make these shady changes. In industries I have experience in like the Cannabis industry and Mortgage industry, there are certain things and requirements that must not only be present in marketing (or packaging), but they also MUST be very visible and easy to read and find or you aren’t if compliance. Insurance companies should have to do the same and be prevented from altering after the fact and/or burying changes in fine print where they are banking on the high probability it will be missed by the policy holder.
  23. And last year they made the AFCCG...which doesn't take as much flack when you reach the AFCCG and only lose to the reigning SB champions. The last time the Bills reached the AFCCG it was with our worst roster when we weren't ready. Since then, 3 straight 2nd round exits including back to back at home where we were the favorite and were a preseason favorite to win the SB and entering the playoffs the last 3 years as one of the hottest teams, if not the hottest team in the NFL. Bills let downs have been quite a bit more substantial and they have come up more short than Ravens have as well having not gone as far in any recent years since Allen reached elite status.
