  1. Gabe Davis, playing in one of the 2 most prolific offenses in the NFL over his 3 year career only has 3 total 100 yard career games (1 each year). In 7 playoff games, he has just 2 big games. The issue is he is more myth than fact. He got the "Big Game" moniker to go with his name because of the KC playoff game essentially. But the reality is "Big Game Davis" is more like 1 big game a year, a couple solid games, several games where he made game hurting mistakes, and a whole lot of games where you don't remember if he even played. I was really high on Davis last offseason, thought he was entering the season ready to break out, especially with the heavy attention Diggs get. But, not only did he struggle to catch the ball, but he struggled with concentration, confidence, separation, etc. I like Gabe and would love to see a bounce back, but I have started asking myself what am I expecting him to bounce back to? His drops are a career long issue. His limited route tree is a career long issue. His lack of consistent separation is a career long issue. I am not sure it is realistic to expect much more than last year because not only was it his best statistical year, all the negative aspects of his game were not exactly anomalies and on par with is 3 year career. And that makes me think that it is more "what we see is what we get" with him and he is just a lower tier WR2 who is better suited to be a very good WR3. I will continue to root for him, I like him, I am just now at a point where I find myself less optimistic than in the past and more concerned about his reliability. PS: All that being said, I don't feel we "must" sign Hopkins because this team is reloaded on new weapons and feel like Allen no longer has to be so heavy dependent on Diggs and Davis. However, I still would love to sign Hopkins as he would be a significant upgrade to Davis and make this offense almost certainly the #1 offense this year.
  2. All good, and respect your opinions too. For me, I think I probably have more confidence in Sherfield than most as I think he is better than people think. Plus we have Kincaid, Knox, Shakir, Cook, and Hines too. We are not short on weapons even without Hopkins. Gabe was someone I was previously high on, but he is more myth than good. He only had 3 games with 100 yards in his 3 year career. He has only had 2 good playoff games out of 7. “Big Game Davis” nickname is mostly built off the lore of the KC playoff game. Drops, mental lapses, struggles to get separation, not getting his feet in bounds, etc just start to add up to go from a necessary piece to expendable if we upgraded to someone like Hopkins. I hope he bounces back this year, I do like him even though my confidence has been shaken in him. However, if we sign Hopkins, there is 0% chance we sign him and I would rather get a trade asset from him than use him as our 4th receiving target behind Diggs, Hopkins, and Kincaid. Not against keeping him by any means, just think he has trade value still and if we can get the right value I would be willing to move him if we signed Hopkins rather than lose him for nothing. That being said, I do think odds are he is here this year regardless if sign Hopkins.
  3. I mean I wouldn’t give him away, but if we could get a decent pick I would move him.
  4. It’s actually better Diggs is not there. He doesn’t need the reps with Josh or the work on his game. It is all the other new guys that benefit and get more balls and reps with Allen that are MUCH MORE needed than Diggs. And I think that is why it’s not that big of a deal to Allen, the coaches, or to Diggs.
  5. I don’t know how they keep Davis if they sign Hopkins. I think Davis gets traded ahead of week 1 if we sign Hopkins because we would 100% not be signing Davis next offseason either if we sign Hopkins.
  6. No issue at all with you having a different opinion. But you repeatedly make exaggerated statements against the facts about his health, suspension, performance, etc. And to be fair, that are definitely extremes on the other side of this convo too. I would like to sign Hopkins personally because more talent is always something I’m in favor of. But I also don’t have an issue if someone doesn’t want to. I also don’t think we must sign him either, I rather like our receiving weapons as of now. But…he is 6 months older than Diggs. So exaggerating his age is pretty silly unless you think Diggs should leave town too because of age. He has had one injury in his whole career that caused him to miss more than 1 game, and that was 2021. In fact he’s only missed 2 other games total in his entire career. So saying he is injury prone isn’t accurate either. His suspension had nothing to do with “roids” either, and you know that yet continue to rant about his “roids” use. You think we don’t need him, shouldn’t spend the money on him, or what not is all fine. Literally changing facts to paint a picture to support your negative bias is over the top and quiet honestly just wasted energy. And that leads to people from the other extreme sometimes looking for extreme reasons as to why. But I don’t have a personal issue with you at all, just find many of your statements on Hopkins to be pretty bad takes in my personal opinion. Doesn’t make you racist though.
  7. Huh? I defended you and said you’re not being racist and are owed an apology from anyone calling you racist. And agree, 300 pages was ridiculous, I made fun of that thread a lot too lol. All I was pointing out is that your posts in this thread and the other have been pretty extreme and over the top exaggerated on the negative opinion you have. It’s cool to not want to add Hopkins or just not like the guy. But your comments have at times been pretty ridiculous, inaccurate, and devoid of the real facts about Hopkins. And when you go that extreme it sometimes prompts people to look for extreme reasons, right or wrong. And for the record, I think it was wrong to question racial bias…just didn’t surprise me either after this 2 thread crusade full of false facts and over the top negative exaggeration either. I agree with that too. You’ve definitely got extremes from both sides on the discussion in the two threads, no doubt.
  8. I agree with that, and said he isn’t being racist and is in the right for wanting an apology if anyone is calling him racist for his personal opinion. But, also at the same time, shouldn’t be too much of a surprise either that if one is going to go to such extremes and over the top statements like he has, then it is going to sometimes cause others to look for equally extreme reasons as to why, right or wrong.
  9. I don’t think you’re being racist either…and I don’t blame you for wanting an apology from that other poster… But…it is a little telling that your Hopkins takes are so extreme, so bad, so over the top, and so ridiculous that some people are looking for equally extreme reasons to try and figure out how your takes could be this bad. So maybe you’re also just being a little bit over the top with your Hopkins bashing crusade too.
  10. Your takes are as bad here on Hopkins as they were in the 300 page thread.
  11. Not firing Frazier after the 13 seconds and continued playoff failures by the defense.
  12. Very well said, couldn’t agree more
  13. That wasn’t close, that was a loss in round 2 and would have had to play Cincy still who we have not looked against yet.
  14. This is great news for me! My friend is close to her and her family, she works directly for Hailee. My wife and I have even been invited to concerts and come hang backstage with them in the past. So this creates a realistic shot at not only meeting Josh, but just hanging out in general if they keep dating! So stoked about this!
  15. Josh Allen has 38 total INT's over the last 3 full seasons with 133 touchdowns. This is a cherry picked stat to make him look controversial. And the 38 turnovers include his fumbles. Bottom line, the only thing this is evident to is that in the last 3 years Josh Allen and the Bills have played in 20 games that ended in 1 score where Allen was often called upon to be Superman and carry the team both rushing and throwing. Plus, Josh Allen has a winning record close to .600% over those 20 games and all without a quality OL, consistent run game, and a change at OC. And several of the 1 score losses the defense didn't get the job done once Allen gave them a lead. So personally...just loathe these cherry picked stats to try and paint a negative narrative while ignoring to over whelming positives. Josh Allen himself will tell anyone he has to clean the turnovers up, but there is a lot more good than bad with Allen and he is as good as anyone in the league.
  16. Did you purposefully leave out the next graphic that went along with this tweet that Josh has a winning record with an almost .600 win % in those very same 1 score games the past 3 years?
  17. Not the same thing...Von wasn't 34 years old when he tore it the first time. People got bent out of shape when many of us warned Tre may not be back to start the year...they got more bent out of shape when many of us warned he may struggle when he is back as it often takes until the next season before they bounce back. So young Von vs 34 old Von isn't a fair comparison. At his age, just playing at 34 without coming off an injury is a question on whether they will be the same player. But coming off this injury again, but now at age 34, certainly brings legitimate questions on when he will be back and how much it will affect him or not. Von is always optimistic, which is good, but doesn't change what he is trying to recover from at a much older age.
  18. Agreed, and I am surprised there are 12 votes for lineups in the poll that doesn't include Torrence. Our guard play was so bad last year I feel like any guard off the street at any moment could have stepped in and not been any worse. Sure, it's possible Torrence struggles in camp and preseason and they go with veteran presence and bring Torrence along slower. But IMHO, Torrence is just too good of a prospect to where I find a hard time seeing him start the season on the bench while one of the lesser inspiring veterans start. IMHO, if Brown can build on the potential he showed as a rookie and put last year behind him, our OL has a shot at being significantly better this year. Brown is the key, because by adding both McGovern and Torrence, along with Bates, our guard spot now has depth and I am sure we can find a 2 man combo amongst those 3 that will be better than any combo at guard we trotted out last year. But RT is still biggest question mark where I don't know if we have a quality option there until we see what version of Brown we get as there isn't much behind him to make you feel comfortable if Brown struggles.
  19. Oh my...this is like one of those PPP threads that never die I assumed this was sarcastic, but then someone hit the agree button. So is this Adams comment a joke or is there something I missed?
  20. Saw this, pretty awesome...although good to keep some perspective. While he did hit 4 homers, it wasn't exactly a hitting clinic...but still the kid hadn't swung the baseball bat in 8 years, so impressive none the less. He did however bomb one of those homers 489 feet, longer than Judge's homer later in that game ha. Dude is just a stud. Back in the "wrong Josh" era from draft through his rookie season...this is one of things I kept hammering home to that hysterical crowd...Josh did NOT focus on football in high school, he was a multi-sport athlete in tiny town in the middle of nowhwere. It is why he didn't have recruitment options and wound up a JUCO before going to Wyoming. And because of this, Josh had never really been exposed to high level coaching, he was succeeding on the core of just his raw talent and ability. Then I would point out to the substantial amount of improvement between his last game at Wyoming and the combine just from the short time working with Palmer. That would be further seen through out his rookie year where he took major strides back side of the season after coming back from injury. The kid is just a pure athlete and competitor. Wouldn't trade him for anyone, he will be HOF player by the time his career is done.
  21. Yeah, like the Murray signing, I posted that before he was signed. Murray was a nice insurance add
