  1. 100% Bijan is the best player in the board period if he is there at 27. And it won’t be close, he will be the unquestioned BPA if he lasts to 27. But not to worry, he won’t sniff the 27th pick, and may not make it out of the top 10. So I think it’s safe to say Bijan won’t be a Buffalo Bill.
  2. Just trade Davis to AZ… AZ sends Hopkins and 34th pick to Bills. Bills send Davis, our 28th pick and our 2024 4th round pick. We then restructure Hopkins deal to help with the cap.
  3. Ironically when Fletcher was here he was the whipping boy like Edmunds has been here. I loved Fletcher, but the irrational nonsense around here was almost the same as Edmunds. As the leader in tackles, all anyone here said over and over was that it didn’t matter, Fletcher made the tackles too far downfield because he sucks so he has to go. All he did was go on to KEEP being one of the best LBs in the game for a long time. Bills would go on to have crappier play at LB for a long time. Posters here were as wrong about Fletcher sucking as they are about Edmunds sucking. Im totally fine not resigning Edmunds for cap reasons, but he definitely doesn’t suck and he’s been better than the over exaggeration of his detractors around here claim. I wish him well in his next destination and I have a feeling he’s going to have continued and maybe even greater success elsewhere.
  4. What a massive gift the Texans gave the Bears. That trade haul was a massive home run for the Bears. I am surprised the Panthers included More who would have been a valuable piece for the new QB. Especially since they could have probably just traded Moore on his own somewhere else and regained one of those premium draft picks. Agree this wreaks of desperation by the Panthers
  5. It’s not about giving up on him, it’s a no win situation for the Bills. If Davis has another similar year, they are going to need to replace him anyway, it won’t be good enough. But if Davis has a big year, we won’t be able to afford paying him and Diggs big money at WR that he would command in FA that would be at a min over $20M per year and could be quite a bit higher depending on just how big his season was. Translation: It is highly unlikely Davis remains a Buffalo Bill after next year. So if we can get a 3rd or better, I would pull the trigger right now personally. But I am not convinced a guy coming off a disappointing season with a terrible catch rate, and among the league leaders in drops is going to bring back even a 3rd rounder.
  6. Yeah, I am also on board for compiling future valuable assets next year, and it is something I think is a real possibility this year. I also wouldn't be surprised if Beane traded Oliver before the draft too. While I won't go as far as to say I expect it, I think it is something that could be in play if the right offer was there as I don't get the impression from Beane or McD comments that they see him here past next season based on what he has done so far.
  7. I don't think it's fair thought to say McD has used Frazier to shield himself though. The one thing about McD is that he doesn't publicly throw people under the bus and keeps it all in house. If you want to say some fans defend McD by assigning more complaints to Frazier, that is fine, but McD himself has never used anyone as a shield for himself IMHO. For example, McD was reportedly screaming when he saw the DB's ten yards off the LOS on 3rd and 4 before the snap (as we all were). This was a critical play, so much so it was even referenced by Beane in the end of year presser. But McD didn't come out and cite that and blame the play call or anything. It is one of the reasons McD is so respected amongst the players and staff, he doesn't air things out in the media. I do agree, there will be a lot more responsibility this year in how the defense performs on McD's shoulders though. He is going to face potential scrutiny both as a HC and DC now and there will be more pressure on him. Agree on McD and this. I think its pretty obvious McD is a good coach based on his accomplishments going back to his first year here, and his defensive accumen is also well established as one of the top defensive minds in the league right now. This is definitely IMHO the most critical offseason for Beane as a GM since facing drafting the right QB when it was clear we going to take a QB early in 2018 and traded assets to be in position to do that both before and during the draft. He doesn't have the war chest he has had in previous years between cap space and draft assets. We no longer have a rookie contract at QB, we draft late every round, have no extra picks of value, and entered the offseason well over the cap with several key starters set to hit free agency. He planned ahead for this and built in the flexibility into the contracts he gave out to be able to navigate this offseason. However, there is little room for error given the state of the competition around us. Jets seem like they will land Rodgers, isntantly making them a bigger threat to the AFCE title. Miami is still formidable, and could still even upgrade further at QB. KC is still KC, and Bengals have a lot more cap space to be bigger free agent players this offseason than us. Then there are teams like Jax that are on the rise and even before the offseason begins are getting Calvin Ridley into their offseason next year now that he is back from suspension. Just means Beane really needs to make the right moves in free agency and how he uses his money, and then we need to also get relevant contributions this year from our draft class much like KC did last year. If we can do that, we will absolutely remain one of the top SB contenders in the league, but that margin of error is tighter this year than its ever been.
  8. Sorry people reading reports written by real scouts who have studied these guys for a year or even multiple years is not “identifying talent”. Nobody on this board is “Identifying talent”. You wouldn’t have even heard of like 90% of the players in the draft if not for media mock drafts and scouting reports. The most popular “mock draft” writers around here are wrong a lot more than anyone wants to admit. And most of what they write is the same regurgitated stuff written in every online mock draft.
  9. How does this indicate if someone can “hit better than NFL GMs”? I mean NFL GMs don’t get to draft their top 10 prospects in the whole draft. So how does someone choosing their 10 best prospects compare to a GM picking one guy from a pool of only the players still available when they are actually on the clock, and then not drafting again for another 32 picks at least to pick the next? Doesn’t make any sense, not remotely comparable to an NFL GM.
  10. Geezus, you’re still in here ranting and whining about Diggs while full of panic? Lmao Dude go outside and get some fresh air. The Diggs situation may turn out to be nothing or turn out to be something. But damn dude, who he follows on IG means nothing. You realize he only uses his IG for fashion stuff right? You know he is way more active on Twitter right? You know he still follows Buffalo on Twitter right? You know his pic on Twitter is him as a Buffalo Bill right? You know he still follows Josh Allen and tons of other Bills players on both IG and Twitter right? Seriously dude, give it a rest until something actually meaningful comes out. All this nonsense from people in here and on social talking about impossible trades are ridiculous. Get some sun, come back when there is actually something of substance on a Diggs issue to discuss, if ever.
  11. This. I mean this subject is as worn out as the trade Diggs nonsense which is also never gonna happen this year. We are not bringing anyone in from the outside, and already have guys with DC experience on the staff to help out. McD is going to call the plays. And if something changes and McD decides not to call the plays, one of the guys on staff will be elevated to DC to run the type of D that McD wants to run this year. Its like people want to just keep talking in circles about things that are not going to happen. Might as well start talking about the Antonio Brown trade again.
  12. He removed the pictures about the Bills last year, not this year. He made his IG more personal and about his fashion posts last year when he was working on a new contract extension. He only puts Bills stuff in season in his stories which expire in 24 hours on IG.
  13. Chiefs are not so much the worry, they have some tough cap decisions looming themselves and we have fared well mostly the last 2 years against them. But Bengals are more of a concern IMHO. One, we have played KC much more competitively the past 3 games against them, winning 2 and narrowly losing 1. When we first faced the Bengals, they were causing problems for our defense the whole game until the unfortunate incident with Hamlin. Then they came into Buffalo and controlled the whole game on both sides of the ball. Cincy has the cap space to improve their weakest spot, OL, and also add another pass rusher. Bills are no slouch, and honestly with Frazier gone, I have more optimism our defense could show up better when we play Cincy this year. But, it really is going to be an important offseason for Beane because we are going to need to make the right FA decisions (given we don't have a lot of money to spend, and likely creating 2 more holes at safety and LB) and then get some good contributions out of our draft class to adequately shore up our major holes. If Jets get Rodgers, our division is going to get much harder too, and then there is that rumor Brady could come back and to Miami. If one or both of those things happen, the road to the top seed for us will increase in difficulty (and even our own division title) and it will likely make beating both KC and Cincy this year in the regular season critical for any shot at high or top seed. Sky isn't falling, we still have a legit team. But there are teams ahead of us and right behind us in a year we are tight on the cap, set to lose multiple starters, and have 2 key players on D coming off ACL issues. So Beane has his work cut out for him this year, and its going to be probably his most important one yet since he drafted the right Allen.
  14. That other poster is me, and you are right, that’s what I said. I posted that they should lose draft eligibility for 1 or even 2 years where to reapply for eligibility they would have to enter and complete reform classes before reapplying. Once approved and eligible, they can enter the Supplemental Draft first, then if not drafted they would be eligible to sign as an UDFA. The NFL can’t currently apply discipline to a player once they are employed by the NFL for things that happened before they were employed by the NFL. BUT they can decide who is eligible to be in the NFL and establish eligibility standards that must be met to enter the draft. Which they already do in a number of ways, so this would be easy for the NFL to do and it’s a joke that they don’t already do it.
  15. Not that they were saying they he wasn't any good per se, but more saying there is a large gap between how good our WR group is (mainly because of Diggs) and the Jets. And I was pointing out that the gap is not as wide as some want to make it seem if Rodgers was to join the Jets because Wilson would likely put up a big season himself.
  16. I really thought he was going to break out this year. I felt like the offense had more pep when he got more snaps later in the season and Sanders got fewer. And then the KC game created another level of optimism. But man, he was easily the biggest disappointment this year in terms of underperforming to expectations. Beane has made some excuses for him, and who knows, maybe they are more legit than we think. But there is no sugar coating it, this season was not a good one for him. Lack of focus, mental errors, drops, lack of awareness, lack of separation, etc. He didn't seem suited to be a featured #2 WR. He has this "Big Game Davis" reputation in the postseason, but does he even deserve that? He has only had 2 big games in the playoffs out of 7, and the majority of his playoff career stats came in the one game against KC. I am not going to give up on him, but it sure is harder to be optimistic about him as the #2 again next year. If he does fill that role again, then I will hope for a bounce back season. But I do hope we sign or draft someone to either take over that role or challenge him for the role where he has to earn it vs get it by default.
  17. Its possible, but its not really something Beane does. If Beane wants a guy here, he finds a way to get an extension or new contract done. He decides a value he is willing to go to, and they either find common ground or Beane moves on. So I doubt he will, but if he was to use it, I think Edmunds would be the one he would use it and probably use the cheaper tag giving him the right to match other offers in case Edmunds signed a deal that Beane would be ok paying himself.
  18. Yeah, Elijah Moore is actually pretty good, and to be honest, I am not sold that Davis is better than Moore at this stage. Davis has more production, but that is from playing with an elite QB in a high volume offense. But Davis has still underachieved this past year as a starter, and I think it's very plausible Moore is capable of putting up a similar season or better with Josh Allen here. I think its fair to say Gave is better than Corey Davis and Mims though. Corey had some injuries and dealt with bad QB play, but I think he is capable of being a solid player still, but Gabe definitely has more upside at this point. Mims sucks, he may not even make the roster there this year.
  19. But I heard on this board Diggs is forcing his way to Dallas
  20. Wilson is a lot better than you guys are giving him credit for. I’m going to say this right now, if Rodgers becomes a Jet, Wilson will be at least a 1300+ yard receiver next year with 8+ TDs. While it’s easy to say there is this huge gap today after Wilson was a rookie playing with inept QBs, what he will be next year with Rodgers is a totally different story.
  21. You address those issues when they happen. You don’t kill your teams cap and Super Bowl chances on something that might happen (and probably won’t happen) 6 months from now. He wasn’t happy in Minnesota and yet never once did that and still gave his all to the team. It would unbelievably stupid for the Bills to take on $40M in dead cap space between this year and next year because he unfollowed their IG page. I mean come on. And for what? Out of fear of things that haven’t happened yet and didn’t happen either when he was unhappy with his previous team? He will be a Buffalo Bill and major player this year and next year too. Only thing that changes that if something catastrophically changes, and even then it’s a long shot the team would trade him and take on that much dead cap hit. Who he does or doesn’t follow on IG is not that catastrophic event.
  22. The issue with Mixon’s video knocking that girl out is that it was while he was in college. NFL currently can’t discipline players that did something prior to being employed by the NFL. Tyreek Hill was another guy who saw his draft stock fall but still got drafted despite beating up his pregnant girlfriend. Not saying I agree with the rule, because I don’t. But until that rule changes, which I doubt the collective bargaining agreement would allow that change, it’s just the sad fact of the NFL. Teams could choose to just not draft or sign them, but sadly there is always going to be teams that will take the chance when it’s a talented prospect. Which is why POS like Mixon and Hill still get drafted. If the NFL is intent on giving kids a second chance to grow from their mistakes, then a better way to handle this would be to strip them of their NFL eligibility for at least a year (or even 2 years) where they have to do things like reform classes and complete them before they can apply for eligibility again. And even then, they would not be allowed back in the draft and would have to enter the supplemental draft or get signed as an UDFA. This gives kids a chance to learn from their mistakes still while also making the path to the NFL much harder and longer for those who screw up to where they need to earn it.
