  1. Says the guy who didn't watch any of his games 😂. The only accurate thing in your post is his age. But wow, calling last year the best year of Ramsey's career is about the wildest thing I have seen all offseason.
  2. No disrespect at all, but you just glossed over the fact that he started 8-0, but then went 0-4 after that and after teams starting to figure out how to defend McDaniels offense and Tua better. And Tua was a major contributor to those losses with poor decisions and turnovers, where his weak arm began hurting him. Bills started off red hot too last year before teams figured out how to disrupt our offense as well. And Miami's 24th ranked defense wasn't one CB away from being a top 5 D or anything. They had several issues on defense. I don't understand this next part, I am one of the few people here not looking at this as Black or White. I am looking at his with rational eyes, and I have already said several times that Miami improved their defensive backfield today. But while that may be true, it is not to the degree of the over exaggeration going on in this thread. For the record, I don't find anything you have said as to be part of that over exaggeration crowd, I am more referencing my previous posts. Nothing about this moves makes me feel it moves Miami ahead of KC, Cincy, or the Bills. And if the Jets get Rodgers, I would still have more confidence in the Jets this year than Miami. And the big reason is Tua. All the other top teams have Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Rodgers...Miami has Tua, a guy who can't stay healthy, ended his season heavily contributing to 4 straight losses, and whose injuries are getting more severe. So end of the day, even if Ramsey has a rebirth in Miami and plays more like his old self, it doesn't move the needle much if they can't stabilize the QB position in a loaded AFC Conference. It also doesn't change the near term ramifications of this move if it doesn't result in a SB title this year or next. They have a very top heavy cap situation with several guys aging or not living up to their contract size already. And that is before they either pay Tua or some other QB to replace him. And as far as Fangio goes, he appears to be an upgrade at DC for him, but he is being a bit over exaggerated around here too IMHO. Miami was already a tough foe, and will continue to be one this year. But I am much more concerned about Jets getting Rodgers than I am Miami over paying Ramsey.
  3. LB Al-Shaair from SF. He is a great replacement option IMHO for Edmunds at what is expected to be a much lower cost than what Edmunds will get. I also think a RB like Jamaal Williams or D'Onte Foreman would be good additions and compliments to Cook. Signing either of them could potentially give us an Ingram/Kamara type tandem here this year.
  4. Did I say his play the year before wasn't any good? I said I have watched every game he has been a Ram for the most part, and that he TODAY is not still elite. His play has diminished. And since win does a TEAM winning a SB mean a single player must be elite anyway? That is the most ridiculous logic I have seen. I already said he doesn't suck, but no offense, how can someone like yourself who has not watched him play actually give any kind of an informed opinion here? Why because you have heard of him? I will rely on actually watching him play over your google searches of other peoples opinions who mostly didn't watch all his games either. Roger Saffold was voted to the Pro Bowl this year...shows the value that a name carries amongst people who didn't actually watch him play. So maybe google less, and watch more.
  5. How he stacks to a Bill is irrelevant. And I watch the games, not google unreliable rankings from sites like PFF. He is not still elite and I would have been sick to my stomach if we paid him that much money and gave up assets to get him.
  6. I don't see their string of decisions as excellent as you. And what you are missing is the cap hell that is right around the corner for Miami, and that is BEFORE they have to pay a QB in either Tua or someone else. I see a team leveraging their future and having to depend on Tua, who not only has not finished a season yet, but whose injuries are getting more severe. The concussions he got last year are no small matter. There is a reason Miami has consistently looked to improve upon Tua every year he has been there. And Miami was on a 4 game losing streak with Tua that almost made them miss the playoffs last year before he got hurt again. Miami has a lot invested in aging players or guys who are over paid going into next year. This trade for Ramsey is a win this year move, the negative domino affect of their recent moves the last couple years starts compounding literally next year. And it won't get better soon for them, so they will start losing players. And if they are not a SB team now, then that won't get any easier for them when they start having to make cuts elsewhere because of how top heavy their cap is which will include several guys not living up to the prices they are being paid. So if Miami has leveraged themselves to win a SB this year or maybe next before they will be facing decisions that starts likely setting the team back some, not forward. It may work, but nothing about Miami last year screamed they were an over rated defensive back away from the SB. MOST teams who leverage their future in all in moves like the Rams did end up never getting there and having to rebuild shortly after with no championship to show for us. Rams were the outlier, and honestly, maybe more lucky than anything as I don't think they were the best team in the NFL that year. IMHO, it is a terrible model to follow unless you really are just like one player away. No one in the AFC is one player away because the AFC is too good to be reduced to that.
  7. Well you are not very good at assessing players then, because Ramsey is not an elite player anymore. He definitely doesn't suck, but his on field play is not at the level he just got paid for. I live in LA and pretty much watched every Rams game he played, and I can say with extreme confidence he is not "elite" anymore.
  8. LMAO if you think Ramsey is the missing piece to make 2 SB's and win one. You clearly havent watched Ramsey play the last 2 years. Rams also had Stafford...Miami has an undersized QB with below average arm strength that has yet to play a full season and now has a pattern of severe concussion issues who the team can't even commit to. LOL at this comparison.
  9. Not surprised by the usual doom and gloom suspects over reacting and over dramatizing this trade...but lets strip all that away and try and take a more RATIONAL look at this trade: Miami improved today in their secondary. But not as much as the classic doom and gloom posters around here are over exaggerating. I have watched pretty much every game Ramsey has played here in LA, and he is not as consistent as he once was, and his past reputation exceeds his play on the field. And at what cost? Miami over paid, and their cap hits next year are severe with guys approaching the later years of their careers or guys who are not delivering the value of what they are being paid. IMHO, Miami could have saved their assets and signed someone cheaper in FA who could have delivered a similar value on the field as Ramsey. They way over paid here between contract and cost to acquire. Miami still has a major question mark at QB...not a little one, a major one. Not only has Tua not played a full season yet, the reasons he is missing games are getting more severe. Getting 2 concussions in a season is bad enough, getting 2 to the degree he did is another level of concern. And he plays a position where recurring concussions have a higher frequency, especially on someone of his smaller stature. And it is not just about him surviving this season, its his ability to survive moving forward because Miami is going to have to pay him soon and that is going to cost Miami players because their cap is going to be a mess when they extend him. Miami was losing WITH Tua last year. Yes he had a hot start, but he cooled off and teams started to figure out how to defend them better and Tua's weak arm started show up and his mistakes cost the teams games that almost made them miss the playoffs. So even if healthy, he has to prove he can be the guy. This was a Rams like move, where they risk future set backs to try and go all in now. Difference is, Rams had a QB that was more reliable and proven to do that with and were a lot closer to representing the NFC in the SB. Miami has to get past the murderers row in the AFC of Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and probably Rodgers now too. Not to mention you still have a rising team in Jax now adding Calvin Ridley to the offense, and Herbert and maybe even Denver if Peyton can turn the Wilson situation around (which I am personally skeptical of). Bottom line is, path in the AFC is a lot tougher than what Rams were facing where they were "going all in". And I have a hard time seeing Ramsey of today as the missing piece to getting past all those teams. Bottom line: I don't fear the Ramsey trade much at all, in fact, ARod to the Jets is going to be a more serious threat. Miami wasn't a CB away from winning the SB last year, but the Jets were a QB away from being very dangerous last year. Not to mention, they get Breece Hall back this year too.
  10. You guys are clearly completely out of touch with this team and this board. There would be an absolute melt down if we spent that much money on Jalen, not to mention the draft pick, and rightfully so because it would have been a terrible move by the Bills if we did this. I live in LA, I can tell you with 100% certainty you two are living off a name and NOT commenting based on his actual on field play. Having watched almost every Ram game since he became a Ram, I can tell you that while Ramsey is not a bum, he certainly has not played to the level of his reputation. Second, if the Bills were paying top money to TWO CB's in Tre and Ramsey it would set this team back big time. Nobody here would be happy about a trade with a big 2 year commitment money wise to a DB who isn't even going to return the value he is being paid, let alone having that much money invested just into our 2 CB's in Tre and Jalen. So sorry, these posts above are way off base. As for Miami...Did the Dolphins get better today in their secondary, sure, I don't think there is no denying that, but its also not to the degree the constant doom and gloom crowd around here like @Einstein wants to portray. And at what cost? Next year, they have a massive amount of money invested into guys who are older or not performing to the level of their contracts, and that is before they have to pay Tua or spend money on a QB upgrade if Tua can't lock the job down. This is a win it all move right now, and if they don't it will set them back quite a bit. And sorry, adding Ramsey to the Dolphins does not feel like the missing piece to get past the rest of the AFC that consists of Bills, KC, Cincy, and maybe even Jets if they land Rodgers.
  11. Lol at you keep trying to change the comparison to an irrelevant one to further your Edmunds negative bias.
  12. And that literally has nothing to do with the question here. Spiller was not a multiple time pro bowler who led his team at his position for 5 years. He had one big year, so he hadn’t proven he could do it again. Meanwhile, Edmunds is among the leaders in tackles across the whole NFL over his time in the NFL, just like Fletcher was. Sorry but this comparison was a fail.
  13. Good thing his win-loss record is excellent then. PS: If someone gave me 5 guesses to figure out who wrote your highly predictable and tone deaf response to this thread, I would have won.
  14. Henry also only averaged 4.3 last year, not a huge difference. Jamaal plays a lot like Henry, a big powerful guy with great burst and acceleration. Henry has a little more top end speed, but Jamaal has more agility in tight spaces. And he will be a lot cheaper and has a lot less wear and tear. He also won't command 20-25 touches a game like Henry will. Plus, Jamaal brings a fire and energy few players in the NFL bring.
  15. Sorry, if you don't think Jamaal Williams would be a good signing, then I don't know that you have watched him or the Lions play. Jamaal isn't just running through gaping holes by the Lions offense, he is running with power and finding slivers to get through and finding his own holes. He is getting stuffed and then bouncing it outside for the score. He is ripping off big runs in other parts of the field. He had a 4.1 YPC despite being a short yardage and redzone specialist with Swift there, and there were times where Jamaal ran more as the number 1 back over Swift. This guy is a smart, passionate, and fiery football player who can find creases that most guys wont despite being a big powerful back. Then of course he brings that power, but its an explosive power, he has very good acceleration and burst. And he is a very good receiver out of the backfield too. For those saying "But Bijan"...well you need to move on. There is not much of a chance Bijan is getting to us at 27, he might even go top 10. But ever if by some miracle Bijan slipped to us, they could still draft him. Signing Jamaal doesn't mean they can't draft Bijan if he unexpectedly falls to us. How many Redzone trips did we not score a TD on last year? How many short yardage plays did we see kill drives? And you don't want a guy who was maybe the best in the NFL in those areas last year and has been most his career? Not to mention, he is a great pairing with Cook where they can play a lot like Ingram and Kamar did in NO for so long.
  16. Im not sure we can afford the draft assets to move up. If we lose Poyer and Edmunds too, plus all the needs we have at OL and WR, hard to see Beane moving up this draft. Feels more like a move down year if anything. Now if we traded a player like Davis or Oliver, then maybe we would go up for someone they covet if they get within an affordable range to do so.
  17. But, the only facts that matter is that his contract makes him impossible for the team to trade, which makes trading Diggs a dead topic. We can’t trade him without severely hurting the team the next 2 seasons while we are trying to compete for Super Bowls. He has a $35m dead cap hit this year unless traded after June 1st, where he still has over a $12m dead cap hit. Then he still has a $24m dead cap hit next year. Trading him would be a disaster for a team with little cap space. It’s never going to happen without something catastrophic happening with Diggs where the team has no choice. He is clearly the 2nd best player on the team behind only Allen, so losing him already sets the team back as we are not replacing him with someone as good as he is right now. And with the cap hits will prevent us from upgrading the team elsewhere and could even cost us to lose players too. Diggs isn’t set to go anywhere at this stage unless significantly more substantial develops.
  18. No worries, happens all the time, usually a product of recency bias and to be fair to you, he had missed time 2 consecutive years. Just this year it wasn’t because he couldn’t stay on the field, it was over him not being eligible to be in the field from things he did working to recover the year before. That being said, he is entering an age where injury is still of a higher risk regardless, so there will always be a little risk once a receiver gets into his 30’s.
  19. This. We have a lot of holes we need to fill based on players who won’t be back. Then we still have places we already needed to seriously upgrade like along the OL and offensive playmakers. If anyone thinks we made these moves to be major players in FA then you’re surely going to be disappointed. We will be active, because we need bodies, but we most likely won’t be big players at the top of the market. That cap space needs to be spread around, including signing our draft class. Our best chance at a significant addition IMHO is via trade where we offload some salary in the acquisition of said player. For example, I could see us trading Ed Oliver for a WR or OL help, or even for someone to replace guys we may be losing like Poyer, Edmunds, and Devin.
  20. Why do you say that? Other than his injury in 2021 where he missed 6 games, he only missed 2 games the rest of his entire career due to injury. In 2022, he missed games due to suspension for something he was taking during his recovery from the 2021 injury. He wasn’t hurt. He has shown no issues staying on the field and showed this year he has plenty left in the tank too.
  21. Yeah, agree they likely still make a trade and get a nice haul. My original comment was that Texans gave them a gift of getting even more by just having won their last game and giving them the top pick.
  22. I won’t go so far as say a “done deal”, but I think trading one or both is certainly a plausible scenario if the right offers came about. I can’t see Beane offloading either for cheap, they have more value to the team than that.
  23. I doubt Carolina gives them this same package to take the second QB in the draft though if Houston had the top pick
  24. Bears only got the first pick because Houston won their last game of the season or Houston would have had the top pick.
