  1. I find it interesting that everyone seem to blame WR's, Worthy trade, etc for our short comings. Meanwhile: #1 offense in the AFC and 2nd in the NFL only to Detroit who the 2024 Lions were the 4th best offense in NFL history. Offense set or tied a number of NFL records such as least negative plays, most wins by 20+ points, etc. Allen set numerous individual records. The Bills have scored the most points in the NFL over the past 5 seasons. But...offense is the issue for so many of you? Meanwhile, the last team to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs were the Bengals, who only did so by holding Mahomes to 3 points in the 2nd half...a week after the Bills gave up 17 points to the Chiefs in the final 3 minutes of that game where they scored 42. Bills just this Sunday scored 29 points against a tough defense and a team that offensively had not scored 30 the whole season...yet we gave up 32 to them and lost because of it. Oh and the team before the Bengals to beat the Chiefs...Bucs in the Super Bowl where the defense dominated Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. If you need to field the greatest offense in NFL history to get to the SB, then that is a dead a** sign that there are BIGGER issues with your team. And even having one of the greatest offenses in history has done very little for other teams. Only 2 of the top 10 offenses in history even won a SB, several didn't even reach one. #1 offense - 2013 Broncos over took the 2007 Pats as the best offense in history and got blown out in the SB by the legion of boom and a run first Seattle offense. #2 offense - 2007 Pats were the then greatest offense in history and got shut down by a team with a mediocre offense but elite D-Line in the SB. #3 offense - 2018 Chiefs was Mahomes best statistical season ever and doesn't even make the SB. #4 offense - 2024 Lions didn't even make the SB. The only 2 in the top 10 all time to win a SB were the 2011 Packers (5th all time) and the 1983 Redskins (8th all time). We are, and have been, an elite offense...our achilles heal is our defense has no difference makers, no closers, no one to disrupt the greatness of the Chiefs and Mahomes. The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things and expect different results. Meanwhile, the Chiefs with a mediocre cast around Mahomes on the offense the past 3 years are now playing for NFL history and a 3rd straight Super Bowl.
  2. Hollins, Ty Johnson, and Gilliam will all likely be back.
  3. That wouldn't work either as there would be 6 wild card teams, and 4 divisional winners. Round 2 would leave you with 7 teams again...4 divisional winners, and the 3 that won the Wildcard rounds. And actually I was incorrect about 10 teams working as that would leave you with 2 teams from the bye and the 4 winners from round 1 for a total of 6 teams...giving you 3 teams the round after, so still doesn't work, so I was mistaken. Seems only real way to do it is with 6 teams and NFL isn't going to back track away from a playoff game.
  4. For those who don't agree or are laughing at you, let me remind them we play a 17 game season now, and many teams are still playing that 17th game for seeding reasons. So a one team bye is a pretty hefty advantage for the one team. The issue is, you either have to go back to 6 teams and the NFL is never going to take money off the table, they are trying to milk these guys for a penny they can. So I am guessing the 1 team bye is here to stay...unfortunately.
  5. Cooper did jack s**t in most the games he was here too...thats our offense, not the player. And people need to relax a bit on Worthy's game where that big catch wasn't even a catch, ball hit the ground, and if the refs are going to ignore that then Bishop had possession at the time they hit the ground and hits ball not Worthy's. How it held up as a Worthy catch is as big of a mystery as how did they not give Kincaid the first when he was a half yard past the marker, followed two plays later by how the hell was that not a first down by Josh.
  6. In a word...yes.
  7. I agree how it was a mistake he wasn't more involved especially on the final drive...and I will admit, I wasn't sure about resigning Cook before the season began, wasn't convinced he could be the every down back just on size and stuff. Now, after this season, after him being so effective against stingy run defenses, seeing how essential he was against KC and the lack of more involvement negatively affected the offense, I am all for extending him. I still would want that to be under $10M per year, but I think if we can sign him under $10M per its a worth the signing at this point.
  8. There are only 3 words as to why we can't get over the hump: Reid. Mahomes. Refs. Reid - At this point, Reid has cemented his place in discussions about who is the GOAT as an offensive mind and HC. Not saying he is for sure the GOAT at either, but he 100% has a seat at the table. And you can add Reid and Spags have a seat at the table to discuss the GOAT HC and Coordinator pairings of all time. Mahomes - I mean if his career ended today, he would already be a lock for top 3 QB's all time and a seat at the GOAT debate table as well. Refs - Look, I am not diminishing the greatness of the Chiefs by refs, but the reality is they have benefited many times for favorable calls and non-calls. All teams get these, its not unique to the Chiefs. But the problem is when a team is as good as the Chiefs, even a single bad call or non-call that goes in favor of the Chiefs can be the difference in the game because they simply do NOT make mistakes in crunch time in game winning moments. So when these happen against the Chiefs, they are substantially more impactful than most and those moments stand out and are much more remembered to feel like it happens all the time. And make no mistake about it...the Bills are not in the Super Bowl this year because the Refs stole 2 first downs from us within 2 plays that swung the game. Kincaid had the first down by a half yard clear as day. Then coaching plays a role where McD doesn't challenge when we should have and instead rushes to catch them off guard on a tush push which had worked so well all season, but the bastardized version they were running on Sunday was not. Big coaching mishap there because it led to the 4th down where Josh got the first, and first ref gave it to him before another ref took it away and then somehow didn't over turn it in review when it was clear as day he got there. Instead of going up potentially 2 scores on that drive, KC goes down and goes up 7. That took us from the drivers seat to now chasing the Chiefs at the end of the game, about as bad of a position anyone can be in late against the Chiefs And while we still had a chance, the odds were stacked much higher against us then if we had gone up 2 scores in the 4th putting the pressure on us to be perfect the rest of the game or go home.
  9. End of the day, its just a game, the fog never lasts too long for me even when the gut punch in the moment is big. And now, (DISCLAIMER: About to get sappy)...I have 2 boys under 2 years old now...so the lingering pain of the games doesn't really exist for me anymore as I just look at them and my incredible wife and remember just how blessed I am with them and then nothing else really matters, no matter what the issue is. And with my wife, I mean I am what seems to be a rare specimen these days where I am not only beyond happily married, but still madly in love with her and sill have a massive crush on her. So for me, that is the only team that matters to me even though in the moments after the loss I was just gutted. I will say this though, the worst part was not having one more game with my oldest son who is 20 months old. During the Chiefs game it was the first time he was cheering, like yelling GOOOOOOOOO along with me and wife during the game and even trying to yell GOOOO Buffalo but couldn't quite get Buffalo right. Would have killed to have one more game of that as by the time next year gets here he will be full talking and it won't be the same.
  10. You mean like the catch that wasn’t a catch?
  11. Notbing about the game changed anything about the worthy trade. He is nothing like Hill, people have to stop making this comparison.
  12. Same, it wasn’t even a tush push anymore, it was absurd
  13. And this is the difference between good coaches and great coaches. While they set this up the Bills kept running the same bastard version of a disaster tush push into the same gap over and over again where the Chiefs were selling out to stop.
  14. I am hoping we go after Holland at S, and I think its possible we will
  15. I would do this trade, Elam just doesn’t fit what they want to do here and we need more size up front
  16. People need to stop bringing up McDuffie, we were never drafting McDuffie who plays the same position as Taron, who is already one of the 3 best NCB in the NFL. That is about as much of wasted energy as it would be if a team traded ahead of us to get a LT or a QB.
  17. I have nothing against scoring more points, but we already had the #1 offense in the AFC this year that also was already historic setting a number of team and individual offensive records. We are also the highest scoring team in the NFL over the past 5 seasons and all that has gotten us is 2 AFCCG losses and 3 divisional round losses. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are 1 game away from the first 3 peat in NFL history with a mediocre offensive roster that has been underwhelming the past 3 years, especially this year where they didn't score 30 the whole season until yesterday. And we are not likely to face a weaker KC offense than we saw this season moving forward. So wouldn't you agree that if you need to field the greatest offense in NFL history, as you are proposing above, to get over the hump that there must be a bigger problem elsewhere? Not to mention, having a historically great offense hasn't meant much now or in the past. Top 2 offenses in history are 2013 Broncos and 2007 Pats...both loss in the SB, both had their historic offenses shut down by strong defenses and lost to teams with mediocre offenses. The #3 offense is the Mahomes led Chiefs in 2018 who didn't even reach the SB. The #4 offense is the 2024 Lions who again didn't reach the Super Bowl. In fact, only 2 of the top single season offenses in history won a SB (5th ranked 2011 Packers and the 8th ranked 1983 Redskins). I won't be upset if we make a splash play at WR, but I am not sure how that moves the needle much against KC who isn't going away anytime soon. The last 2 teams to beat KC in the postseason were Bucs whose D dismantled their offense and the Bengals who shut the KC offense down in the 2nd half of the AFCCG holding them to 3 points that half...a week after we gave up 2 TD's and FG to KC in the final like 3 minutes of the game on their way to 42 points. So for me, I think a major splash play for a real difference maker on the D would do more for this roster right now. I still want and expect us to add to the WR room, but in terms of our biggest move I just think that difference maker on defense does a lot more for us.
  18. I agree about the WR draft class, another reason why I am comfortable making the trade for an elite player like Crosby or Garrett. At WR, we could also trade up or trade one of our seconds (and another pick if needed) for someone too. Or even try and sign someone like Higgins. In the end though, we had the top offense in the AFC, set several offensive or QB records, and scored 29 but lost to a team who we allowed to score 32 even though they hadn’t broke 30 the whole season. And we would have had over 30 and probably win that game if not for the refs screwing us on the 4th down. We need more elite players and our defense has none. Don’t get me wrong, WR is a priority (and I don’t think Cooper is the answer), just think there are more potential ways to improve the WR room than our DL. And our D sorely lacks difference makers, it’s been at least one of, if not the main, Achilles heal every post season loss.
  19. I would, especially for Crosby whose only 27 as this team is so close to a SB winner and most key parts are all back next year. I would prefer less, but at some point we NEED a difference maker on defense. Sign Jevon Holland, and be aggressive for a WR in the draft early (we have 2 seconds still and an extra 4th and an extra 5th) to use to move around if we need to. Then draft 2 corners and some size at DL with our remaining picks.
  20. Jeff Fisher…gross. He better be on the hot seat this year
  21. We are going to be fine cap wise this year
  22. I’m hoping for a big splash move for Crosby or Garrett.
  23. WR, CB, S, and DL are all huge priorities for us this year in no particular order. The good news is we don’t have a lot of other big needs outside of that, so I’m hoping at least one splash move at one of those spots via trade or FA.
  24. Doesn’t matter, he won’t be here this next year.
