Yeah the Diggs stuff around here is utterly ridiculous...we need MORE guys like Diggs on this team, especially on Defense. And yeah, I do agree with you about Rice too, but I also do think Kelce criticism is warranted because he got physical with Reid and I also just think what he did with Reid is more true to his character as he is a giant deuche.

I couldn't tell you who would be better or worse between Kyle Allen and Trubisky. I am not enamored with either, but then again thats usually the case with backup QB's. I would probably lean towards who is cheaper as Bills are sunk if either had to play any extended period of the season. I haven't even began to look at FA's yet, so could be someone else this year too that might be a better choice. But if you are asking me between Kyle and Mitch...I would take the cheaper contract. And lets not forget Bears traded a bunch to move up one spot to take him even though everyone and their mom knew SF was taking Solomon and not a QB. Funny, SF could have then taken Mahomes/Watson next and still had all that draft ammo to add more pieces to that team. How many SB's would SF be sitting on right now had they just taken Mahomes instead of overrated home grown Solomon Thomas?

He did more than yell though, he almost knocked Reid over. What would you be saying if Diggs did this to McD during a game? This board and the media would implode and let's not pretend it wouldn't because neither this board nor the media has let go of when Diggs literally just raised his arms in a shrug on the sideline of the Bengals game. People would be calling for Diggs to be cut, traded, whatever...labeling him the worst teammate ever. Truth is, Kelce really is a giant deuche, I have met him in person and he is everything you think he will be. No joke, I think we will find out he has CTE later down the line, he has another side to him IMHO. Plus, he is 10 times the diva and deuche people think Diggs is, yet here on this board there are people still trying to falsely manufacture Diggs drama despite him flat out saying this offseason that he wants to retire a Bill, Josh if Family, he hopes to stay in Buffalo. It is crazy how certain players can escape scrutiny while others are not just over analyzed, but false narratives keep being pushed on them.

Does this team actually have the guts to move on from Tre White?
Alphadawg7 replied to Jim's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im not sure you are even a "fan"...you sound like some dude who just caught his wife getting plowed by his brother. Your hasn't done **** since 2021 is inaccurate as well. Just about any fan who has even a sliver of football knowledge understood that players coming back from a torn ACL often don't get back closer to a full recovery until the season after they return. Which is exactly what happened with Tre who looked good before suffering another injury this year. He is definitely going to be an interesting one to watch as I really can't see how they can afford to keep him with our cap situation, so something is going to have to likely be reworked or he could very well be a cap casualty. But he deserves a lot more respect than you are giving him especially how he worked his way back and then suffered another significant injury that had him emotionally breaking down as he was carted off the field. So maybe tone it down or redirect your meltdown elsewhere rather than one of the most talented, professional, hard working, dedicated players this franchise has on this team who is beloved by fans and in the locker room. -
Don’t care about the Pats anymore, but they were a 10/10 for me. I don’t hate the Chiefs, I only hate Kelce. I respect the greatness that is Mahomes, he’s the only other player that makes my jaw drop on a weekly basis outside of Allen. And with him and Allen being competitive yet friends is good vibes. Unlike when Pats and Brady had no respect for the Bills, nor should they have with how crappy we were. I do hate seeing them win though without actually hating the team. I am categorically sick of Swift and can’t wait until that’s done.

Cagey as in flat out stating he wants to retire a Bill, he hopes he isn't traded, and that Josh is family? And even the other statements were not cagey either if you listen to the whole interviews. But when people like @Einsteinstart threads like this with cherry picking a line or two out of context to paint a biased narrative then yeah it can sound cagey when it is not.
-
You see this is the issue. And not picking on you with this reply, but its more a general response to a lot of the nonsense in this thread. Some of you have decided Diggs is an issue no matter what. Even when Diggs says he WANTS to be here, does NOT WANT to be traded, and WANTS to retire a Bill there are people here that will say what you just said. So, Diggs has NEVER even one time said he was unhappy in Buffalo, not once. He had NEVER said he wants out, not even once. He has NEVER once said he has any issue with Josh. Yet so many people have come to these conclusions that he wants out, isn't happy here, has an issue with Josh by "decoding" or twisting things he has said to mean something different, or taken something they saw and decided it meant something like him wanting out. But now when he DOES say he WANTS to be here, Josh IS Family, he WANTS to retire a Bill then you are saying he doesn't really mean it and it still must mean its just an act and he wants out? Do you guys even get the ridiculousness of making things up he didn't say, then disregarding the FACTUAL and EXACT things he does say? Is a trade possible, sure...nothing is impossible. But the likeliness of that is pretty low given Diggs doesn't want to be traded, Beane restating his confidence in Diggs, our cap situation, and Diggs cap hits. Earlier in this thread people were moaning about why doesn't Diggs just say it clearly then...now he goes out and flat out says what they wanted to hear in that he wants to be here, does not want to be traded, and hopes to retire a Bill and the response is now "of course he is going to put on a good public face"
-
If Diggs "wants out", why is he doing interviews saying he hopes he stays in Buffalo, Josh is family, and he wants to retire a Buffalo Bill? Literally saying this in his most recent interviews. Ive yet to see anyone show how it will even be mathematically possible for the Bills to trade Diggs prior to the draft so we would be able to get draft picks in this draft to rebuild the WR room. The cap hits this year and next year would be crippling to a team who has half its roster essentially as FA's right now and already a bad cap situation. Nothing is impossible, but this "trade" stuff seems to be more media created click bait stuff than anything of actual substance.

What are your feelings on James Cook RB1
Alphadawg7 replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im not sold yet, but he showed more potential to be an RB1 this year than I think most of us expected. I like what I see for the most part, but CJ Spiller fooled me once in thinking he could be an RB1 too though, so I need to see more. But I have concerns about his tendency to drop sure TD passes, like right on the money easy catches for easy walk in TD's. I think he had 5 on the season, that is 5 TD's off the board. Then you have the fumbles too. On the other hand, he was really much more effective even running up the middle than I expected and he really started showing good vision, making people miss, breaking tackles, finding the gaps, etc. So, I am in a wait and see more stance. I would like to see the Bills bring back a vet (maybe Lenny comes back with a full camp) or draft a RB on day 3 who has some potential to share carries. We need someone who won't fumble when we need to grind out yards in close games, bad weather, etc. -
Hot Mic Baker Mayfield returning to Bucs
Alphadawg7 replied to BaaadThingsMan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same...I was on Baker and talking about it all over this board that whole college football season. For a while I thought he was the most likely Bills pick until he climbed the ranks into top overall conversation and then went 1st. But heading into that draft night, it was clear Baker was going 1 and Darnold to the Jets. I was certain Giants and Broncos were not taking a QB. So my only 2 preferred choices were to trade up for Allen (my top choice), otherwise stay put and take Lamar. Allen was a riser for me, he really won me over with all he showed during the draft process and became my top target after Baker. Darnold was someone I saw a lot of and I had concerns about his decision making in the NFL as I watched him make a lot of "WTF was he thinking" throws at USC and was not as enamored with him at USC as others were. I would not have been against taking him, but I was just glad we didn't have to make that choice. Lamar was my actual 2nd choice behind Allen because I knew we could save some draft picks and not have to trade up for him and just stay put and take him. I even started a thread leading up to the draft titled "My case for Lamar" centered around staying put rather than trading up. Rosen I hated...I would have puked if we took him over Allen. I knew too many people who directly knew him and all said the same things about him, that he was a total deuche, nobody likes him, and he lacks all the intangibles and drive to be a QB in the NFL. To me, his peak ceiling was Jay Cutler and his floor was Ryan Leaf. -
Bills Draft Needs - From the Athletic
Alphadawg7 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Draft needs and priorities should NOT dictate draft order though. For example, if at 28 there is a top prospect at a position we need such as S or DL or a reach at WR, take the better player. I want WR early in the first as much as anyone, but I do NOT want to REACH and pass up a superior prospect at another major position of need either. This is a deep WR draft too, and if you look around the NFL many of the best WR's in the NFL now and in the past 20 years did not come from the first round of drafts. Again, my preference would be a WR and I do think one worth taking will be there, however, if that is not the case then I don't want Beane to take a lesser prospect over a potential difference maker at another position we need to find starters in this draft for too. -
Clearly, you are totally missing the point of what people are pushing back on in this thread. Its not whether or not its POSSIBLE Diggs COULD be traded. Its this LAMP post by @Einsteinwho cherry picked a couple lines to manufacture FALSE CONTROVERSY with Diggs. There is NO controversy or Diggs drama. Also, 6/1 would be 2024, you just said 2025...you can't even stay on the same year. But again, its not even about whether or not he can or can't be traded, its the nonsense of manufacturing false narratives and drama around him when there is none at this time. If you want or @Einsteinwants to start a thread about whether Diggs COULD be traded or not...fair game. To cherry pick a few lines to create FALSE DRAMA AND NARRATIVE is not only stupid but only brings the board down because many posters are gonna now think there is some drama that does NOT currently exist. They then persist to regurgitate this false info all off season in every other thread. And LMAO...Over 20 years Ive been on this board and the only L you can ever go back to is when I thought after like an 1800 yard season Spiller could be an RB1. I will take that track record 100 times over Daboll? Yes, VERY glad he is gone. I would take Daboll over Dorsey, but I am glad both are gone. How is he doing in NY? You know that team where reportedly the other coaches on his staff are looking for other jobs across the NFL to get off Daboll's sinking ship lol.
-
LMAO at this cop out...So NOW you are saying 2025 a whole other season from now when Diggs contract is actually movable. LMAO...ground breaking work. And EVERYONE and their MOM wanted us to actually RUN the ball more because we didn't have a run game and put too much on Josh. So don't hide your ridiculous post in your thread that McD wanted to run a "pound the rock" offense to the tune of "3 ypc" behind the obvious fact that we NEEDED to run the ball more than we did under either Daboll or Dorsey. 2 more L's for you here. Keep em coming though
-
This post might actually be worse than your last post. Is it sweaty with that tin foil hat on? Talk about trying to force a narrative, this actually wreaks of desperation.
-
This is such a ridiculous response. Diggs essentially said its not in his control, which is true for ALL players. He has made it clear all season many times he isn't unhappy in Buffalo and literally said he never once said he wasn't happy here. Just again forcing narratives where there are none just like your ridiculous take in your other thread suggesting McD wants a pound the rock offense, which is just as ridiculous as this thread.

Should the Bills trade up for their own “Julio Jones”
Alphadawg7 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have an insane amount of FA's on the defensive side of the ball, we really need our draft capital this year. So I don't think any type of big trade up is something Beane is going to look at for any position. However, Beane isn't afraid to make smaller moves to go get the guy he covets. So its possible we make a small move up, but I just don't find any sort of expensive move up plausible, especially given the riches in this draft at WR. This is a very deep class and there are going to be WR's who come from all over this draft that turn into real players in the NFL. Id rather double up on WR in this draft than trade a bounty to get one. -
@Einsteinis just looking for attention. He cherry picked a couple lines to make a fake controversy that isn't there and now he is trying to spin his reasons for it with answers dumber than this thread. Its threads like this that really bring down the quality of the board. Its one thing to start a thread and discuss the possibility of a trade and a totally other pile of garbage to manipulate a false narrative to stir the pot for attention. Literally the worst thread of 2024 because its going to falsely skew others opinions who didn't take the time to listen to the WHOLE interview and just took this hot garbage thread at face value.
-
I can't help but lose respect for posters who start threads and post snippets of an interview to skew the narrative rather than POST THE WHOLE INTERVIEW which actually CLEARLY illustrates a different tone and narrative than what this thread is forcibly trying to create. Honestly your thread just feels like a total LAMP thread forcing a narrative that isn't there. Gotta be the worst thread of the offseason so far that is now putting FALSE impressions in other posters heads who are going to carry this FALSE sense of IMAGINARY controversy all off season and derail other threads over and over again.
-
Im just wondering where Tyler's article on the trainwreck around Daboll is at where his other coaches are reportedly calling around the league looking to get off a "sinking ship" and find other jobs. Guess he writes about people he feels personally scorned by when getting denied credentials given he is not a real journalist.
-
This is a pretty stupid thread if you want to be taken seriously as a poster. Diggs has said literally nothing cryptic or controversial. Why on earth do you think it deserves its own thread to talk about nothing? He even literally said there was no news at all in this same interview. DIggs also said he is gretting really tired of these same stupid questions he has already answered getting asked again, just like posters here recycling the same stupid non-story drama for no reason. Its early in the offseason, but this is already the worst thread of the offseason so far given there is literally no plausible information of any kind remotely suggesting he wants to be traded or that the Bills would ever consider trading him. There is a big difference of starting a thread about "could we trade Diggs" and speculate on whether it would work or not, what it could be, etc and starting a thread forcing a false negative narrative around Diggs that just isn't there like you people get trying to do over and over.
-
While its totally possible...people need to stop regurgitating this stuff about McD being conservative or just wanting to pound the rock. Its utter nonsense and McD has not only been one of the most aggressive HC's in the league during the Allen era, he has repeatedly talked about wanting big plays, high octane offense. There is literally no truth at all other than pre-determined fan bias off assumptions because he was from a defensive background that McD has any interest in a "pound the rock" offense. What he wanted, which everyone on Earth KNEW we NEEDED...was balance of having an actual run game that help Josh out so he doesn't have to do it all and to help open up the pass game more too. I swear, the fact this absurd nonsense about him being conservative or only wants to run the ball persists is mind boggling. Literally not a shred of factual truth to it what so ever.

Not sure how this video suggests they are engaged...although I do know people close to Hailee and they think she is

How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
Alphadawg7 replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never fights for yards? What games are you watching. He is always fighting for extra yards and has even turned those into big plays and even TD's. People want to talk about his stats in 2nd half of seasons, that is fair. Talk about some of the drop issues he had this year, that is fair. But to say he doesn't fight for yards its just not at all an accurate description of him or how he plays. I also disagree he takes himself out of games...I see him getting open and not getting the ball. I see him blocking on run plays and for other receivers. Ive never watched a Bills game and said to myself Diggs is dogging it or taking himself out of the game. I dont have a good explanation with the consistent drop in production, but his effort is not something I question. Personally, I think it has been centered around issues with the offense and once the league gets a blueprint on how to take Diggs away, we have struggled to adjust. But lets also not forget as good as Josh is, as much as I love Josh and we all love Josh, there were quite a few times this year Diggs was open and Josh didn't see or flat out missed on the throw too. DIdn't help our OC sucked for first 9 games either. -
This is 100% a factor...not the only reason as a players ability to catch plays the biggest role, but it certainly impacts the chances for a drop. Arm strength like Allen already makes catches somewhat harder, any WR will admit that. Then adding in weather that can make things windy, wet and/or cold and the degree of difficulty goes up again. Footing too can also affect the receivers ability to keep focus on the catch as well if they are dealing with wet, muddy, slippery, snowy, frozen, etc conditions. And conditions vary often during a game when weather is factor, so what you see is guys changing gloves a lot in those situations which also means they do not always have the right gloves on at a particular moment. Drops are just going to have a higher chance of happening as conditions decrease, that is just the nature of the challenges that those conditions present. Allen firing bullets in those conditions further increases the difficulty of the catch and chances for a drop.
