  1. We are living in the real world version of the movie "Idiocracy"
  2. He’s done a lot more than that. But make up what ever narrative you want which is clearly your objective
  3. So a gym workout now equates to more work all off season when Mahomes took a ton of time off for golf, travel, leisure and partying. I mean I was standing next to him and Kelce in VIP at Coachella while they got hammered. But nice try
  4. God this board is a joke right now, how many of these threads do we need spun off over people twisting words and over reacting to ridiculous click bait articles. HE did NOT say he isn't BIG into game film. That is not remotely what was said, this quest to spin that BS narrative is a joke. I feel like I am living in the movie Idiocracy right now with how poorly society interprets things and twists things into all kinds of crazy narratives daily. He said he does not over indulge to what a team has done in the past because those teams often do NOT play the Bills the same and if he over commits to a previous look its often wrong because they play Allen and this offense differently...and that is because Josh Allen is not like any other QB in the league to defend. The season cant start soon enough. So sick of all the people trying to force drama into every little thing that isn't there. I swear like 90% of the people over reacting to this probably didn't even listen to the 30 minute interview are making all these comments and threads on sensationalized click bait headlines and posts.
  5. You mean the same Patrick Mahomes that golfed a ton this offseason, took his family on multiple vacations, went to Coachella, drank, etc? You know all the type of things Allen is getting flack for and more?
  6. I stand by what I said. Find me another QB who spent as much time fixing his deficiencies from the second he stepped off the college football field for the last time. Just find me one that has put more time and work into elevating his craft outside the season. Josh's offseason commitment has been well documented, and all of a sudden he takes one to recharge his body and mind this year, something all the top QB's do most seasons, and all of a sudden its like Josh's work he has put in has been completely forgotten.
  7. AFC: Bills, Ravens, Jags, Chiefs AFC WC: Jets, Bengals, Browns AFC Championship: Bills vs Chiefs NFC: Niners, Eagles, Lions, Saints NCF WC: Cowboys, Vikings, Seahawks NFC Championship: Niners vs Eagles Superbowl: Bills 27, Niners 23 MVP: Josh Allen (although with such a heavy media bias against him, probably Jalen Hurts) Coach of the year: Dan Campbell First coach fired: Brandon Staley With the first pick in the 2024 draft, the Houston Texans trade down with someone who drafts Caleb Williams.
  8. Here is the dumbest part about all of this... Since Josh has entered the league, there is not a single QB, maybe player, that has put as much work in during the offseason as Josh has to elevate his game fix his weaknesses. Its a CRITICAL part as to why he has been a unicorn in coming in so raw and rising to such an elite level. Then after one of the most emotionally draining seasons for any team that I can ever remember starting with Matt Araiza, the death of Luke Knox, grocery store massacre, multiple blizzards and deaths, and then Hamlin...not to mention an elbow injury his missed ZERO SNAPS for that would have sidelined just about every other QB in the league at least 4-6 weeks...he takes some time to heal the mind, heart, and body this offseason...which by the way included the separation of his long time girlfriend as well. Its utterly insane the criticism he is getting right now. Bills have the #1 offense in the NFL in scoring the past 3 seasons and why, because of Allen. Suddenly the media and shockingly even fans here are suddenly trying VERY hard to turn on him and make him the problem. And for what? Because he drunk with a teammate on an off day? Because he said he watches a lot of film but doesn't want to over watch and get locked into a way D plays knowing they will play him and the Bills different? Because he played some golf during an offseason when he needed to clear the mind and rest? Its utterly insane because look around the NFL, that is what most players did this offseason, even all the greats. This kid leaves it all out on the field every week, puts it all on the line on EVERY play. He prioritzes the fans and goes WAY out of his way to sign, meet, greet, and take pics. Josh is heavily involved in the community and giving back. You will never not find him with a smile and positive attitude. He is a model citizen, player, and human by all accounts who is dedicated to his craft and teammates. He deserves better than the BS treatment he is getting in the media, and he sure as heck deserves a lot better from the unappreciative base here. These are the times where the board comes unbearable to be honest. Josh has given us fans all kinds of access to him talking, having fun, joking, etc with all these interviews and podcasts...and some people just circle like vultures to validate negative feelings and look for sound bites for confirmation bias. I wouldn't be surprised if Josh said f-it I am not doing anymore of these because of the people just looking to use it against him. There are people on this board who don't deserve to watch this team or Allen. Not saying the good posters who had some reasonable comments, questions, or concerns. But the ones trying to over exaggerate every negative story on the team, Diggs, Allen, or whatever just to sew their all the time negative view point.
  9. All good and I don't disagree at all that the full picture should reflect everything. Just didn't think some of the phrasing was fair to Josh as it carried a more negative tone than necessary for those points and kind of skewed the picture a bit was all. I personally think he is about to have the best year of his career...I would say I think he would win MVP, but honestly, I feel like there is this backlash on him that is unwarranted and that the people voting will be reluctant to vote for him so they aren't wrong. So I feel like it is going to be hard for him to win MVP this season, and the best way to shove it in everyones face to is to just win the SB and get his SB MVP instead.
  10. Well lets pump the brakes a bit. How long did it take Manning to win his first one? What about Brees who only went to one. What about Rodgers, also only been to one. Its not all about the QB despite everyone making it about the QB. And for all we know, the reason Josh doesn't have one now is because of Frazier and the defense letting him down when he had 9 TD's and no turnovers in the first 2 playoff games 2 years ago. Allen was a raw player, he didn't start coming into his own until year 3 as he started his career on a horrific roster with terrible weapons while also being raw. People act like Allen has been a stud for a decade and just not gotten there. He has had 2 elite years and one breakout year. And in all 3 years he has had maybe the greatest to play ever in Mahomes by the time he is done also in his path with one of the best offensive minds as a HC. And Allen has something like 17 TDs to 3 INTs in the postseason, so again, lets not pretend he has had some kind of INT issue in the post season. Point is, teams win and lose playoff games, and the team around him especially at OL and the defense have let Allen down big time in the playoffs multiple times now. That doesn't excuse Allen for everything, but again, for whatever reason things are being exaggerated about Allen. You responded to a post where I specifically stated that Allen has this narrative that he is a turnover machine in the redzone specifically...even though he had 1 in his entire career prior to last year. A year where he played hurt, had a first time OC, and tons of emotionally draining things around the whole team last season. But you brought it back to being about interceptions in general again. And while he does need to try and reduce them, he still has helmed the #1 scoring offense in the NFL over the past 3 seasons, set NFL records for most TD's in his first 5 years. And all that is possible because he takes chances others wont take, and the reward has been greated than the risk thus far.
  11. The whole turnover issues with Allen, especially in the redzone is comical to me. Allen threw I believe just 1 redzone INT in his whole career during the regular season heading into last year, a year in which our team had a slew of injuries including to Josh's elbow that would have made most QB's miss 4-6 weeks but he didn't miss a snap. Not to mention he had a first year OC who was pretty bad at calling plays in the redzone. Now all of a sudden he is labeled a turnover machine in the redzone as if he has been that his whole career. Not to mention, Davis was off last year and we found out was playing through an ankle injury almost the entire season and the slot position was a mess. Then the OL was atrocious and you end up with a piss poor run game and weak weapons so Josh has to try and put the whole team on his shoulders and make things happen. And that is when he has to press and mistakes can be made. Its crazy to me how so many want to tear him down now as if he isn't a good QB just because he hasn't reached Mahomes achievements yet. Meanwhile, Allen is the all time leader in most TD's over the first 5 seasons of his career (breaking Marinos record), holds multiple playoff passing and scoring records, has a much better stat line in the postseason than Burrow even though Burrow has elite weapons his whole career, and already has been an MVP finalist 3 straight seasons including 2nd to Rodgers one year. Allen now has the best weapons he has ever had. Plus the OL has the potential to be the best group he has had so far too. He is going to ball out this year
  12. Except Diggs never once said a single negative thing to the media, on social media, etc to even remotely suggest he was unhappy. Fans and media decided to take a frustrating moment in a game that happens all the time and blow it up to mean something totally different while ignoring all the actual facts about how much Diggs loved Allen, Buffalo, and wanting to finish his career here prior to that one single moment in an emotional game after an emotional season. So when camp came, and Diggs was there but was given the day to go chill after him and coaches had some discussions, it got over magnified to be a bunch of stuff it wasn't...all because of the narrative the fans and media had been self writing without evidence all offseason. This became the moment they could finally all say "See, I told you so" except that moment really wasn't that and they can't let that go now. Bottom line is the Diggs drama wasn't real in house any where near the degree fans and media think it was and now they just keep clinging to it because they can and it generates clicks.
  13. No disrespect Beck, but your "But this is a true picture too" feels like its skewing a more negative picture on things that are not really negative, or you paraphrased in a way that makes them sound more negative than they were during the interview. It is the off season, every player spent it doing things relaxing and fun and Allen already said he badly needed to rest after such an emotionally draining season. Don't think there is anything wrong with this at all and he has said many times this is the most focused on football he has ever been. And that says a lot, because he has been all football all the time since entering the league. It is well known Josh is one of the most competitive guys there is, he already was a multi-sport start in HS which is why he didn't get as much football attention coming out, so also not seeing what is wrong with this either, seems to be a guy who is competitive and confident in his abilities. I am super competitive, if my friends wife beat me in a game of pickle ball I would shut it down as quick as I could too. Not sure why this is an issue, it was an off day the next day during preseason. No reason for him and the guys to not let loose once in a while, especially before the season starts. This one is really the bigger one here as the way you phrased it makes it sound like he doesn't watch much film, and that isnt what he stated. He said he doesn't over watch film on opponents and get locked into one look they did against someone else because defenses play him and the Bills differently (obviously as no other team has a QB like Allen to defend). But no offense, you paraphrased summary here makes it sounds like he doesn't take film seriously or watch too much of it, but that isn't reflective of what was actually said IMHO. Again, mean no disrespect at all here Beck, just think this list you made isn't exactly the "true picture" your comments seem to imply.
  14. Bills are only 2nd to Chiefs in scoring offense over the last 3 years, but by only 5 total points over those 3 years despite playing one less game (Cincy after Hamlin injury), meaning the Bills really are the highest scoring offense in the NFL over the past 3 seasons because they would have scored more than 5 points had that game been played. And now, Allen is entering the 2023 season healthy without his elbow injury last year and with the best overall set of weapons he has had in his entire career. And it is possible, this will be the best OL he has had too because on paper it appears that way if O'Cyrus plays as good as he looked in camp and preseason. So yes, I agree with you that the Bills are going to be the highest scoring team in the NFL because they already have been and now have the most talent on the offense in the Allen era. BONUS point: I think the Bills Defense will finish top 3 in sacks in the AFC and very well could lead the whole AFC in sacks. I think people are underestimating the addition of Floyd and a more aggressive style from McD. And most importantly, our secondary is healthy and poised to be one of the best in the NFL again overall, and that buys time for the boys upfront. Not to mention, Von will be back in 4 weeks to bolster the pass rush further. AJE had 6.5 sacks last year playing for a DC allergic to sacking the QB.
  15. I know, I didn't say everyone supported him, but he had a lot more people who thought he was going to be the guy at slot
  16. Pat McAfee IMHO is the best sports talk show out right now. From just how they cover sports, how they interview, the vibe, etc...its such a nice change of pace from the click bait and Jerry Springer like sports media going on right now across most media
  17. Well him being Simms #1 QB last year doesn't mean much when a team who drafted him already cut him. But I have no issue bringing him in as a PS developmental guy, especially given our backup QB situation is meh
  18. Yeah the everyone was referring to the ones defending McKenzie always bringing up that Pats game, there were plenty others who doubted him heading into the season
  19. Of course everyone doesn't mean literally everyone, I mean there were people who agreed McKenzie wasn't any good as a significant contributor. But I will say the majority pushed back and I took flack and a bunch of insults for claiming that McKenzie wasn't gonna be much better than he had been in the past and was not good enough before the season started last year. So I was more jesting in the "I told you so" comment here, but it was one of those kidding, but not totally kidding type comments ha. I still like McKenzie and his personality, so hope the Colts bring him back or he can find another home if not. But, not a fan of him being relied on in any kind of heavy use role, he just isn't good enough in that capacity.
  20. I still remember most this board arguing with me last preseason when I said McKenzie wasn’t good enough to start or to be anything more than a gadget or role player. Everyone kept bringing up his 1 game vs Pats as proof he was the heir to Coles slot throne while ignoring the other 5 years worth of evidence. So…I told you so 😂😜🤪
  21. This is quite the scoop by Beane, I have no doubt that this is an immediate upgrade at MLB and it certainly calms some of the panic at MLB being still so unsettled. I suspect he will be on the active 53 here very soon, and wouldn't surprise me if he was active week 1
  22. This just keeps getting dumber and dumber by the minute. Season can't start soon enough
  23. LMAO, what is with all the doom and gloom posts since the 53 roster cut downs? Did we cut Josh Allen and I just miss it or something? 13-3 last year, 8 points away from being undefeated. Over the last 3 seasons, Bills are 2nd only to KC and behind by just 5 total points in scoring in the NFL, and yet we enter this season with the best set of weapons Allen has had ever. Yes we are weaker at MLB which is a major hole, but we have our secondary healthy again which is one of the best overall in the NFL and has been for several years now. Our pass rush is getting bolstered by Vons return and Floyd being added, plus McD should be more aggressive than Frazier was giving the potential to generate more pressure. This team has upgraded at WR, RB, TE, LG, RG, and has a healthy Allen. Then on D its upgraded at S, CB, DL, and Edge compared to last year. Only downgrade on the whole roster is at KR (losing Hines) and MLB (big downgrade). We are the same at C, RT, OLB (although Dorian is more depth there). So how are you seeing this team as "worse" than last year? Will we have a worse record? Possibly, no season is the same, our schedule is brutal. But overall, this team has upgraded slightly or significantly at almost every position over last year either through FA's, Rookies, or guys being back healthy. We have 2 major questions marks at MLB and RT still, but those don't offset all the other positives either. And we still don't know how much of an issue MLB and RT will be given Bernard didn't get to play the whole preseason and Brown is still an unknown on how much better he could be with the injuries behind him. So while those are our biggest weak spots, we don't actually know how weak they are, if at all.
  24. Did you know the last time a SB winning team had a 1000 yard rusher on the season was 2016? Did you know that the last time a SB winning team also had the NFL leading rusher was back in the 90's with Denver and Terrell Davis? Yeah...your concern about the RB room is already a thing of the past. Your analysis of how bad the RB's we have are is less accurate than your concern about the RB position itself.
  25. Its pretty funny. I mean, some unknown person just says "I am the guy who broke the CMC trade news" and everyone takes that as fact. Maybe he has a connection where he got some info early, maybe he doesn't. All I know some guy saying he does isn't confirmation of the fact.
