  1. No worries, no disrespect or offense taken, everyone has their own opinion BUT...You see, you just did exactly what I said others are doing. You just said Burrow took that team to a SB and completely glossing over how the Bengals defense somehow held the Chiefs to 3 points in the 2nd half of the AFCCG. Burrow and the Bengals were not keeping up with the Chiefs in the first half. But the Bengals defense shut down Mahomes in the 2nd giving the Bengals the opportunity on offense to do just enough to win that game. Again, Burrow is a very good QB, but he didn't have some crazy game. He had 250 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT and was losing 21-10 at halftime as the Chiefs were moving the ball with ease and scoring. Burrow was not going to be able to keep pace with Mahomes and the Chiefs. But then, Bengals did something that led to two 2nd half INT's by Mahomes and managed to hold the Chiefs to 3 points to give the Bengals just enough room to steal the game late. Burrow was on his way to getting blown out if not for the Bengals miraculous defensive performance and switch in the 2nd half.
  2. Bernard was expected, and I will be rooting for him to rise to the challenge, but I have a feeling it will be short lived and Kirksey will take over in the next few weeks. Seemed like Dane was leading for CB2 most of camp and preseason, so the late push by Benford was a bit of a surprise and considering Dane had a great camp, that is encouraging that Benford did enough to still over take him. I still think Elam gets mixed in when they are going man/press type coverages or need more speed on the field, but what a story for Benford to be a late pick and over take a quality vet and a first round pick. O'Cyrus was a no brainer, he looked the part all camp and preseason. Really looking forward to seeing him in action and he is going to get thrown into the fire out the gate with his Jets front line.
  3. No hes not. Does he have 5 years left at a high level...no. But doesn't mean he will for sure break down this year. I mean he could, every player is different, and some break down even younger. But this notion that because a player is 31 or 32 around here that they automatically can't stay healthy, play well, etc is so outdated. Its just not true anymore in the modern game. Lots of players are still playing at a high level at this age, its not some guaranteed automatic cliff it was 30 years ago.
  4. Sounds precautionary more than anything...not too worried unless more comes out suggesting its a bigger issue
  5. Joe is overrated. Gonna say it now. He is a very good QB, not saying he isn't good. But he has gotten overrated on the back of his teams success as if he is neck and neck with Mahomes, and he just isn't. Look at the KC game they won to advance to the SB. They didn't win because of Burrow, they won because the Bengals defense somehow managed to hold Mahomes and KC to 3 points in the 2nd half keeping the score low enough for the Bengals to creep back in and steal the game. Allen carved up that same D with ease the week before until Loosey Frazier and the D gave away the game with 13 seconds and OT. No question he was going to be the highest paid all time with this contract, that is just how QB contracts work. But Joe hasn't gotten it done while loaded with weapons, and he is about to start to lose those weapons soon because they can't keep them all. His playoff stats are underwhelming, but he gets propped up because the team won some games and reached a SB. But he gets all the credit for that, and its not really been a case where Burrow is lighting the games up. Again, one of the best young QB's in the league, not saying he sucks by any means. Just saying he is not in the same class as Mahomes even though that is the tier everyone wants to put him in.
  6. Investing this much time into a troll job makes me think you need more hobbies
  7. Was that $11M before taxes, his agent, business manager, etc all get their part of it or $11M he actually put in his bank account? And its not like 100% of that money is just there when his career ends, I mean they spend money during their career especially when they believe their career is going to keep continuing, and that doesn't mean they are blowing money either. I mean if it was before all that stuff, then he probably got closer to $5M and that is not a lot of money (nor was it then) to support your family for life. And that isn't taking into account any money spent on things while he was playing and had contracts thinking his career was going to continue. Just because he was working construction doesn't mean he was broke living pay check to pay check. He could have still had assets like real estate they owned, had money in the bank or invested, etc. He would still need to work to pay bills because the worst thing he could do is not work and just live on the money only. Most NFL players needs to work when their careers are over and won't have enough money to just live on for the rest of their life unless they reached a higher tier of success in their NFL career.
  8. Has anyone ever seen @Airsevenand Nick Wright in the same room? Because I am pretty sure you are Nick Wright
  9. You do know in BOTH regular season games last year the Bills faced Tua right? And those games, Tua passed for 184 yards and 1 TD in week 3 then 234 and 2 TD's in week 14. OMG Its Tua Armageddon for the Bills pass defense lmao. Rodgers? Ok, him joining the Jets certainly makes the Jets stronger no doubt. But the Bills secondary faced Rodgers last year and Rodgers threw for 203 yards, 2 TD's and 1 INT. So lets not pretend our secondary did not show well against Rodgers during this period where we have had the top passing defense in the NFL the last 3 years. And are you really suggesting Bill O'Brien is going to turn the Pats into some aerial attack force with Mac Jones and a weak group of passing weapons? A team that is geared up to be a run first team?
  10. Not to be rude, but I think its safe to say that the GM's understand the cap and the roll over better than anyone here.
  11. Over the last 3 seasons we have the number 1 pass defense in the NFL allowing just 200 yards per game. And that is with Hyde missing most of last year and Tre getting hurt in 2021 and then playing only part of a season last year where he wasn't the same player. As far as Tre goes, all reports have been pretty positive on how Tre has looked and seems poised to be much improved than he was last season. And now we have real quality depth at CB too with Dane, Elam, and Benford. At safety, Poyer was playing at an elite level last we saw him, so no reason to doubt his level of play. And Hyde is back and didn't take much wear and tear last year after missing most the season with the neck issue. Plus we also have Rapp who is a good player in himself again giving us depth at safety. So I see no reason why the leagues best pass defense over the past 3 years won't still be amongst the best again this season.
  12. Because we only had one unproven corner when we drafted Elam that wasn’t Tre, and Tre was still out with a torn ACL. It was by far the biggest hole on the team on draft night and Elam was the only player left on Beanes board with a first round grade with our late pick.
  13. Oh nice, I don’t think you got any preseason games with DirecTV if I am not mistaken
  14. This matchup is tough and a good test out the gate for both teams. The good news for us is that the OL is still an issue, the receiving weapons outside of Wilson are mediocre, and Rodgers is still getting a feel for the players, offense and timing. But, we have our own new pieces integrating into our team as well, and when it comes to week 1, you never know who is going to shake the rust off and find a groove first given most the starters across the NFL barely see any action in preseason. Its funny, this list works two ways. One, you could see it as the amount of pressure on the Jets it all puts. Or two, you can see it as a lot of reasons for the energy to be high and the Jets to be fired up. It won't surprise me at all to see the Jets drive the field on their first possession and score a TD, to be honest, I kind of expect it. We saw this numerous times last season where the shout box would melt down like we were a 1 win team after an easy early TD drive by the opponent. Then, Bills adjust and clamped down most the time. Ultimately, I think the Bills win and it is going to be a situation where Jets start fast with all that adrenaline and energy, but then cool. Personally, I think it will likely be a close game late and Bills will eventually go up 2 scores in the 4th where the Jets just can't overcome and final score is a Bills win by 1 or 2 scores.
  15. They do, 4 $100 payments if you don't have YouTubeTV and are paying the full $400 Don't worry about it, not all the apps look and feel the same on each device. For example, my netflix app looks uniquely different depending if I am using AppleTV, ROKU, Amazon Fire, Smart TV App, etc. Sunday Ticket isn't active yet, and won't see true layout until Sunday 1 hour before games begin. So it will likely work itself out by then and you will see all the games by then on both devices. All the device apps are built and run separately, so probably just wasn't updated on one of them yet with the game schedule.
  16. You are going to get a lot of flack for this, and probably more so just given the Teller comparison as Teller has become one of the best at his position. But personally, I think Boogie has a real chance to get more opportunities there and develop. And he has shown some flashes, even this preseason. I watched an interview with Boogie early in camp and I came away impressed with him, his outlook, mindset, etc. Sometimes things like a change of scenery, new system, more opportunities, etc are all a young players needs. Look at Jerry Hughes, he was seen as a big bust in Indy when we traded for him and then he came in here and was a pretty good player for us for 9 years. Teller is a high bar to set for anyone, not many get to that level, so don't know he is destined to be the next Teller. But I also don't think the idea of him breaking out there is crazy. All that being said, he wasn't able to set himself apart here so regardless I think the right choice was to trade him.
  17. It’s the thing I’m most excited about this season. Seeing the defense under McD rather than Loosey Frazier
  18. I can see that, just more going off the camp reports that consistently talk about the hieghtened aggression under McD and what we saw from him when he has taken the play calling duties over from Frazier earlier on. It is honestly one of the most things I am excited to see come week 1, how the defense looks and differs from the past few years. Very curious and optimistic
  19. With our schedule, I think their floor (not factoring in any injuries to critical players) is 11 wins and their ceiling is 14 wins. I will roll with 13-4 and I think this is the year we reach the SB. While the AFC is loaded, team to team though I just don't see another roster that I can definitively say is better overall. I think this is the year we break through and head to the Super Bowl. For all the heat the Bills get right now from media and fans, we were still 8 points away from being undefeated despite major injuries, including Von and to Allens throwing elbow. Tre also wasn't close to himself either, and those are 3 of our 4 best players on the team. Then there was the emotional drain of everything the team and the city endured last year. Still, just 8 points away from undefeated. Coming in hungry, with a chip on their shoulder, and healthy with less hype I think is going to be a recipe to get over the hump. PS: I am fully aware that after each of the 4 losses the usual suspects will flood the board with Fire McD, Fire Beane, Trade Diggs, etc threads.
  20. Thats the thing though, what does "Play our defense" mean this year? We likely won't be playing the same defense as last year, throughout camp all the reports have been about how much more aggressive the defense is. So while I also expect us to "play our defense", I don't expect that to be the entirely same defense and style as the past few seasons under Frazier either. I think "our defense" is going to feature more aggression upfront, especially with the secondary healthy again buying those boys more time. Doesn't mean I think he is going to go all blitz happy either, just that I expect on the season as a whole to see McD look to get more pressure on the QB.
  21. Now we know why @Airsevenis such a wet blanket all the time, not the tattoo he was expecting
  22. I think McD is going to have confidence in our secondary and look to be aggressive upfront to disrupt Rodgers as much as he can given he doesn't have much experience with these guys and the Jets OL is their weakest spot on the team. So I expect McD to dial up pressure and I also think we are going to see Groot more than people think on the inside this week to use his length to disrupt the passing lanes. I also think we are going to see Rapp a lot more than people think this week helping out at the MIKE as a 3rd safety essentially in obvious passing downs.
  23. It’s more hilarious when people want to argue about things they don’t know anything about. Talking to you about Josh Allen is like talking to my son about Josh Allen. My son is 3 months old…and his babbling cooing is cuter 😂
  24. That is rich and comical coming from someone who seems to literally know almost nothing about Allen given you seem to think all he has done is just get his mechanics mapped one year
  25. Best performing rookie: Kincaid. While I don't expect some crazy numbers, I think he adds a dynamic to the offense that really takes us to a new level and proves to be one of the most valuable additions to the team this season. Best offensive non-skill position MVP: Torrence. I think he is going to really help bolster the run game and stabilize the line inside. Best running back: Cook. I think all the RB's are going to play well, but I think Cook is about to break out this year. Offensive dark horse: Sherfield. I wanted to say Davis, but I don't know him having his best year would really be a "dark horse" as its more expected. But I have been saying all offseason that Sherfield is better than people think and is going to make some plays for us this year. Defensive dark horse: Kirksey. I think he will be starting very early in the season and is going to immediately stabilize the biggest hole on the team. Defensive MVP: Rousseau. I think with the addition of Floyd, getting Von back and getting some opportunities inside too that he is going to be a double digit sack guy this season. Player most likely to underperform: Bernard/Dodson (whoever starts at MLB initially). Just don't see them holding that spot down and holding off Kirksey who I think will take over the starting job in the first 3 weeks of the season.
