I know a lot of people here don't think we can win out...but IMHO it is a real possibility if the offense keeps playing this way under Brady rest of year. But let's skip the debate on whether we will or won't and talk briefly about what happens IF we do. Because this team has already done this in 2021, and I started a thread then 6 games out saying I thought the Bills would run the table and win out, which they did. And I again think they can this year if we can maintain our offensive momentum. BUT - Not a thread to debate whether we will or won't - It's about what happens with our Coaching decisions if say we HYPOTHETICALLY do. I think its safe to say McD is likely fired if we miss the playoffs while having a healthy Josh and Diggs all season. But if we go on a run, it creates some interesting coaching decisions/scenarios. Let us hypothetically assume we go 11-6, make the playoffs - What happens with McD and Brady? Right now, McD is clearly on the hot seat and I think will probably be fired if we miss the playoffs. But if this team gets into the playoffs, the AFC is lacking in tough opponents right now and Bills could certainly make some noise and win a couple games. Still in 2021, our schedule was not as hard as what we have remaining now, so it won't be easy...but it is certainly possible. Think about these questions if this played out this way: Does McD get fired or retained if we make win out to make the playoffs? Would Brady be a hot HC candidate and we lose him to another team if the offense rolls for the rest of the season and post season? Would McD still get fired even if we make the playoffs but fail to reach at least AFCCG? If McD is fired, would Brady be a serious consideration to replace him if the offense keeps rolling? If McD saved his job, would he be HC/DC again next year or just HC and hire an DC? Posted some poll questions addressing these scenarios

Josh is still right there with Mahomes and one of the best players in the league. Dorsey ruined him for half a season, but Brady has brought him back. He is a generational talent and will hold multiple NFL records when his career is done. I have no doubt Josh Allen will hoist a SB trophy at some point in his career.

LOL...No, absolutely not is the league "rigged". The league has an immense value over $100 Billion dollars, and that value is predicated on its integrity. There is abosolutely no way the Billionaire owners or anyone else is going to let the league gamble on rigging games or affecting outcomes and jeopardize the value of the league and the multi-billion dollar teams owned by those billionaires. Now, the officiating is terrible...no doubt. There are things that must be addressed...no doubt. And there are always possible scenarios where refs don't call games straight for personal reasons (gambling, like/dislike of teams/players, etc) in any sport, there is no way to eliminate that possibility, only the ability to act swiftly when discovered. But I will say, the refs Sunday called that game like they all bet their house on Philly. It was that egregious. But I think it was just another case of very poor officiating.

He wasn’t a scapegoat, Frazier has said 100 times why he left, this narrative he was forced out is pretty ridiculous. Doesn’t mean McD doesn’t have a lot to answer for, but Frazier was not a scapegoat and he left on his own…those are the facts. Doesn't mean you can’t still be happy he is gone for the reasons you stated, but this “scapegoat” narrative is just another false story around here. McD for sure though put a target on his back by wearing two hats though when Frazier stepped away. And to be quite honest, it’s not his DC hat that is going to get him fired. Defense has dealt with a lot and still played well enough for this team to be the #1 seed in AFC right now had the Dorsey led offense not sucked for most of the season. But, his HC hat is where he is really in trouble this year as there are now a pile of glaring coaching decisions that have really been hard to ignore. And the end of the Philly game wasting a timeout to ice a kicker attempting a rushed 59 yard FG in bad weather was about as stupid as it gets, especially since we could have had 20 seconds and TWO timeouts to try and get a FG ourselves. KC scored a FG in 13 seconds against us then did it again the following regular season against us last year at end of half in LESS time with only 12 seconds to go and get a FG. As soon as we took a knee to end the 4th I knew that if we lose this game after not trying to win it there that McD may have just sealed his fate. And most of us knew Dorsey should have been fired even sooner than he did. Seeing this offense ball out 2 weeks straight and avg 33 points a game after Dorsey (against weaker defenses) averaged 20.5 for 6 weeks shows just how stupid it was to keep sticking with Dorsey until it was near too late. And that choice also put this team in such a hole that even if we play great down the stretch and win out from here, we could very easily still miss playoffs.

This thread feels like a lot words for your real agenda of just hating on Allen again.

We lost cuz of any of the following individual plays: Cook dropped TD Bass 2 missed FGs Davis missed OT TD Allens ill timed INT Bonus: Refs MANY MANY missed calls You can really point to a number of single plays that cost us this game and quite possibly the season. Davis apparent blunder in OT was IMHO one of those reasons.

Davis was at fault, he knew it and even reacted to his own mistake on the sideline. It’s also why so many players went to console him. It’s not a question of who was on fault

But when did Nick Mullens ever “look great”? What Mullens did was not in the same league of Purdy. Will Purdy get figured out or keep it up is a legit question and though still.

Devin started 2 games, the last 2 games and in those 2 games what did he do? Moss was amongst the NFL leaders in rushing before Taylor got back. So not sure what your point is, both proved to play very good when given chances.

The funny thing is that the actual Bills skid could work in Allen's favor now...if Allen and the offense play like they did against the Jets and the Bills say run the table, then all of a sudden Allen is going to look like he was being impacted negatively by an OC who was the wrong fit in Dorsey and his turnovers will have less impact in the convo if he substantially lowers them under Brady. Allen plays at a high level and Bills beat Hurts and Mahomes in consecutive weeks, he is going to legit be back in the MVP convo. But even that being said, I still think it is going to be hard for him to win it after they have spent most the season hammering him about turnovers. If Bills run through this gauntlet winning and Allen puts up like 20+ TD's over the final 6 games and has no more than say 3 or 4 turnovers, then they will be more forced to take notice and he would have a real shot. But that is the harsh truth - Josh is just always going to get judged harder. And this year, this offense under Dorsey for 6 weeks gave them plenty of ammo. Lets say Bills win out that means...Mahomes lost to Allen...Hurts lost to Allen...Tua and Hill lost to Allen and the Bills twice. Allen presumably still leading the NFL in TD's if we win out, he should have a leg up on those guys. That leaves other guys like Lamar, McCaffrey, and Purdy left in the convo. Lamar's stats fall well short of Allens, and if Allen runs the gauntlet there will be some benefit of the doubt that Dorsey was more the problem than Allen was. So Allen likely still has a leg up on Lamar. McCaffrey and Purdy though are different stories. If the Niners continue to play this way, they will both have strong cases. And quite honestly, if the Niners play like they have the last couple weeks for the rest of the season, I think Brock Purdy will win the MVP. He is playing lights out, and probably better than anyone in the NFL right now. Even in the 3 game skid he drove them down the field against the stout Cle defense and the rookie kicker missed a gimme FG (which eliminated me in my suicide pool, so I am still pissed at Moody lol).

Buy: Joe Brady - The differences in how he ran the offense were clear as day. And I don’t think it’s a fluke. I do think his stock is on the rise. If we beat Phi, KC, and Dallas and the offense is rolling in and Jose games, he is going to start having a strong case to have “interim” removed from his title. Sell: Gabe Davis - While I don’t expect no catches every week, guys like Kincaid, Shakir, and Cook are earning their reps in the pass games. We still have Knox coming back too. There is only so many footballs to go around and Davis is quickly falling down the pecking order for Josh. Hold: The Defense - It’s been playing well, Rasul and Linval are living up to their excitement of adding them, which is great/. But, we have 3 top end offenses in a row this D needs will face, and there aren’t any Zack Wilson’s on the other side of the field.

I get all that, but that also doesn’t make it wrong always to take a RB at 12 either. That is my main point, they got killed over it just because they picked him at 12. And honestly if there was a redraft today he would probably go before 12.

I didn't say that though, I said we don't know if they still would have gone WR once the big 3 were gone. They liked Diggs more than the remaining rookie prospects is all we know, and its not like he was wrong about Diggs. Jefferson may have very well still been the pick. And you can't blame Beane or any GM for that matter for not knowing Jefferson would be this good, no one knew he would be and that is an impossible thing to know for anyone.
