He makes every single owner a crap load of money every single year, each year more than the year before. Until he has in impact on their pocketbooks in a negative way, he isn't going anywhere. And this statement is just ludicrous when compared to any other professional sport. Know what happens when you celebrate too much in baseball? You get a 95 mph fastball thrown at your back. Do it too many times and it comes at your head. Know what happens when you cross the line in hockey? Some 6'4" goon lays the smack down on you the next chance he gets, straight up punches you in the face over and over for a 5 minute penalty (that you'll most likely serve as well). NBA, you do it twice and you are thrown out of the game for 2 technical fouls. People that say or believe the NFL is the "no fun league" need to really take a look at what other professional sports do to "fun." A $10K or $20k fine for someone making millions of dollars per year is nothing.

Non-Power 5 Conference football QBs usually put up insane numbers in college if they are to have any success at all in the NFL. To put it simply, they dominate the lesser opponents. While LIcata has had some nice games and a pretty good season last year, he has far from dominated on any level in the MAC, and if you aren't dominating MAC defenses (regardless of your surrounding talent) you aren't going to be doing anything special in the NFL.

At this point you have to believe that he is doing all this as a stunt, to make some sort of point regarding the NFL. I mean, the guy did go to Cal Berkeley so he has to be somewhat intelligent and this cannot be "just how he is."

Well, he can certainly dominate HS kids, that's for sure. I wish we would take all home-grown talents in the draft whenever possible and reasonable.

Unfortunately, I feel the same with this year comparing Henry to Yeldon. I think Henry is a better back and have a hard time getting behind a back that isn't even the best one on his college team. I also felt the same way concerning Richardson and Lacy when Lacy seemed to look better in my opinion than Richardson did and we all know how that is turning out. I would much rather have Gurley or wait a round or two for Duke Johnson (if possible).

I disagree and believe that is 100% about the QB. How good were the Pats before Tom Brady and especially before Drew Bledsoe? They were terrible for about 10 years. How were the Colts before Peyton and Luck? Terrible. How were the Saints before Brees? Terrible. Denver without Peyton hadn't really done anything significant since Elway. Cincy was terrible between Boomer and Dalton, Steelers may be your exception as they seem to do well consistently even without an elite QB, but they are way more consistent with one in Big Ben. Ravens Flacco now, before they had one of the best D's of all time, but prior to that they were terrible for 10 years since Bernie was running the show. San Fran, terrible between Young and Kaep (with one or two good years from Garcia). The list goes on and on. Elite QBs always lead to consistent playoff appearances. What was GB doing before the Favre / Rodgers years? Yep, nothing for about 20 years.

I love how someone brings up the Wonderlic with every single black QB prospect, but I never see it mentioned when discussing white QB prospects. Racism strikes subconsciously quite often.

I have watched him 3 or 4 times. I know all you guys love to point to arbitrary and objective things, I point to facts. Numbers never lie. Also, did I just hear at the end of the WGR morning show that someone is reporting that Winston is staying at FSU for another year?

Did you watch the game versus the Bills? He looked terrible. He mad two long throws that he just threw up and our CBs should have made plays on them but his WRs made tremendous plays, the rest of the game he did nothing at all. All they did was run where Dareus used to be. And to say either one "looked way better" is simply a false statement with no basis in fact.

Derek Carr - 16 GP, 58.1% Comp, 21 TDs, 12 Picks, 5.5 yards/attempt, 76.6 Rating Teddy Bridgewater - 13 GP, 64.4%, 14/12, 7.3 y/a, 85.2 Rating EJ - 14 GP, 58.6%, 16/12, 6.4 y/a, 78.5 Rating So how exactly do either of those two guys look to be much better than EJ? Not to mention the complete ineptitude that EJ has been dealing with in play calling, putting an OLine out there that can't block anyone up the middle, missing virtually his entire rookie training camp, and playing many games well short of 100% health wise. I'm interested to see what EJ can do with some competence in the offensive coaching.

I was speaking in theory. While I agree he is most likely better than EJ on a pure talent level, I just wouldn't want him as a leader and face of my franchise (which all QBs really are...or should be). EJ has him blown away on that aspect.

I'm going to make a bold statement. I believe that Jameis Winston will be available at #19. I also believe that he is the best pure QB in this draft. I still wouldn't want the Bills to draft him though.

Very, very few QBs win Super Bowls on teams that did not draft them. I want a Super Bowl. Therefore, draft QBs until we get it right.

It's not bad, per se, but it is concerning. Not sure if you are referring to my post or not, but I said it's is concerning because he never really had to throw balls in to tight windows there. Their scheme (like Oregon's) gets receivers wide open. Any NFL prospect should be able to make those throws (yes, insert EJ joke here). But, reading an NFL defense where you have to anticipate the openings before they occur and the windows are often miniscule is a much different animal than throwing to guys that are wide open. It's the difference between a career back up and a guy that can take you to the promise land. Can he do it? Maybe, he just never had to yet. I also said that he does seem to hit most of those guys in stride which points to good accuracy but AT THIS POINT, before workouts etc., I wouldn't take him in the second round. And the only NFL team that runs anything close to those schemes are the Eagles and other teams adjusted to it this season and the results weren't nearly as successful as last year.

There is no way I can see this being a HC thing. He has failed way too many times in way too many places to get an NFL head coaching job again. OC? That may be interesting.

I think that is a bit of a stretch, don't you? People watch NFL football regardless of who is playing especially in the playoffs. This is not MLB. However, that call was absurd yesterday. To everyone saying that it was not a penalty, do you not see him clearly pulling down Pettigrew's right arm just before the ball gets there? I mean, it's not even close. And yes, how the hell does Dez Bryant not get called for a penalty on that play for storming out onto the field without his helmet on to argue with the Refs??? That may be the most egregious part of the whole thing. It's doesn't get any more clear cut than that.

Petty looks good from a distance, but I would be concerned with the scheme they run. Like Mariotta, who I'm not a huge fan of at this point, Petty throws to wide open receivers all the time. Granted, when I've watched he usually hits these wide open guys in stride resulting in huge plays, but I would be concerned if he can recognize the holes you need to throw into in the NFL before they develop and if he has the true accuracy to do it. Right now, for me, no higher than 3rd. I still grade them out as Mariotta mid 1st, Wisnton late 1st early 2nd, Hundley mid to late 2nd, Petty 3rd, Prescott 3rd/4th Unfortunately, I think all those guys will be gone before my grades on them and we would have to reach in 2nd for Petty. I would love a G/TE with our first two picks and then grab Prescott in the 4th.
