  1. You were probably thinking more along the lines of attempted murder rather than assault with a deadly weapon.
  2. On a side note, Ballers was absolutely unwatchable and the Brink was far from impressive (although I may give that on another episode or two, but Ballers, done already). Ballers is basically trying to replicate Entourage with a sports scene in stead of the Hollywood scene but without characters like Drama, Ari, and Turtle it just is not even coming close.
  3. Cody Kessler should be available in the first round and he is exactly what we need. An extremely accurate passer who makes very few mistakes. He has all the makings of being the next Drew Brees IMO and we should be all over him.
  4. Yeah but if you couple that with what he's done over the last 4 seasons it doesn't take much to put 2 and 2 together that he is not looking like an improvement over two younger guys with a much higher upside at this stage of their careers.
  5. Civil - Preponderance of the evidence Criminal - Beyond a reasonable doubt Death Penalty - 100% certain, no ifs ands or butts about it, this person did it. The last one should be the law. This could, potentially, impact the extensive costs of all the appeals and drag outs that a lot of us are concerned about concerning the death penalty (not to mention the biggest issue, killing the wrong person). It has always amazed me that there isn't a higher standard for this than other criminal proceedings. This looks to be one of those 100% certain cases at this time.
  6. Just curious, what murders are not fueled by hate of some sort? As long as we keep segregating things in the media, law, our conversations, we are never going to make any progress on these race issues and never have true equality where race is seen on a level of having blond hair vs brown hair or blue eyes vs green eyes. Hate crime? Sure, hate against the HUMAN race.
  7. So...you're going to steal the broadcast over the internet and you are calling them the thieves? Cool story bro.
  8. Our defense is not trying to kill our own QBs though via the pass rush. That's a huge element of the passing game that is, in all reality, removed from a practice scenario. Yeah, they may get in, but I'm not too worried about being "touched" compared to in a real game when I'm worrying about 300lbs of muscle slamming me to the ground if I don't get rid of it quick enough.
  9. I didn't know the Buffalo News still existed.
  10. Thanks, but I get plenty of coverage. He was asking why more people weren't interested and that's a major part of the reason.
  11. ESPN covers woman's college softball more than they cover soccer. Quite frankly, they should be embarrassed on their lack of coverage on this. They follow around Tim Tebow 24/7 for weeks, but give us about 1 minute on SportsCenter and a Bob Ley outside the lines. I can pretty much guarantee you that Bob Ley has been there long enough to do whatever he wants on that show and that is why he IS covering it. However, for the rest of the network, since soccer isn't even on ESPN outside of MLS (mostly on ESPN2) they would rather cover and promote what they are getting putting on their airwaves...thus, women's college sports coverage, tennis coverage, etc. It's beyond annoying to me.
  12. And the list doesn't even include Bradham and Hughes as players "on the rise." I sure would have mentioned them.
  13. This is the same thing as posting a picture of yourself eating at McDonalds. Should an athlete be smoking / eating fast food? Probably not, but is it completely legal and his choice, absolutely. It's so funny how so many of you have no idea what hookah's are and what they are primarily used for...that is...not weed! Also, a Hookah is no different (probably better for you) than a cigar. Everyone on this site loved this picture of Orton when it came out, but Sammy smoking a hookah is bad PR, bad for the kids or whatever? Is it OK for an older white vet to smoke cigars but not OK for a young black rookie to smoke out of a hookah? This is another example of people being racist without even realizing it IMO.
  14. So deflating some balls a few PSI or spygate are on the same level as saying that you don't want your girlfriend (mistress or whatever) to hang out with black people or have her seen with black people at the Clippers games? I'm sorry, but I put blatant racism over a bit of cheating for a competitive edge any day of the week. The Patriots are trying to win however they can, they got caught and handed a pretty good punishment by most accounts. What Sterling did is on a whole different level of disgusting IMO and the two are not even comparable.
  15. They call it Stormy Friday. RIP https://youtu.be/pVGu0visDbE
  16. Don't forget 11 and 12 year old boys who get their titles taken away all the time in the LLWS.
  17. There's a reason you haven't heard of this guy and that he doesn't have a great highlight reel. Teams do not throw in his direction. To me, that's a great sign for a CB. Let's give him a chance, could be a shut down level guy that went under the radar.
  18. While marijuana is not considered to be physically addicting by most, it is considered mentally addicting by a significant number of studies.
  19. I think he'll fall and be available now at 50. Sounds to me like he'll be in the drug program upon entering the league. Teams do not want to waste such a high pick on guys who are already on the drug plan, not to mention ones who depend on their speed and explosiveness to be effective who are coming into the league with a foot issue. With that being said, if he is there I would jump all over him.
  20. You are obviously clueless as to the side-effects of prescribed pain killers compared to those of marijuana. Educate yourself, you are part of the reason that such a ridiculous thing is still illegal.
  21. Bring back the 2 day draft. Stop protecting the offense so much with all those penalties (especially things like even the slightest contact to a QBs head is a 15 yard penalty and the defensive contact penalties on WRs, they should be able to do what they want short of holding before the ball is in the air). Lets bring back some D. Change draft order. 1st team to not make playoffs drafts #1, second team to not make playoffs drafts #2, up until the worst team drafts 20th. Then follow same format as current for playoff teams. That would solve your tanking issues. Suddenly the Bills 7-9 thru 9-7 seasons start to look great. Mediocre teams get punished over and over while terrible teams get to hit on franchise QBs (and other positions) consistently. Offensive penalties (except pre-snap penalties) are also loss of down.
  22. So TB is going to trade the #1 overall pick for a QB that is coming off his second ACL tear and has shown zero ability to stay on the field, a 30 year-old RB who basically hasn't played in over a year, a 33 year old guard and a 1st round pick that is likely in the bottom half of the draft? Come on now.
  23. 2007 Pats are up there. Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Watson, and Maroney. That was, however, Welker's bust out year so it may be hard to say for sure. Also, as you mentioned, when GB had Jennings, Driver, Nelson, Finley, and Grant that was very good.
