  1. I'd be curious to see concussion numbers in rugby. It has be thrown out there that they are lower because guys are more cautious with no helmets and when they do hit their heads they are going into the person, not an armored shell of that person via all the equipment NFL players wear. I've never really looked at it in depth, but the reasoning of that argument makes a lot of sense to me.
  2. I usually enjoy 1 per year, and then hate the rest.
  3. I think this is hilarious. But for the love of god, it's 2015, TURN YOUR CELL PHONE SIDEWAYS FOR VIDEO. Thanks.
  4. Oh, Florida. When will you ever cease to amaze?
  5. Yeah, but what do expect when they charge $5 for bottled water and $10 for a beer.
  6. 175k is getting up there. I would have to believe that more expensive repairs are in your not too distant future. I would replace it now. Go to a car selling site and look for cars with a lot of miles on them and see if there are lot of a certain make / model / year. If something sticks out, I would look for that same car with a lot less miles on it. The thought process is that if there are a lot of people selling that car with high mileage, well, then there ARE a lot of those cars that make it to high mileage and if you get one with under 100k on it, then you can get a lot of use out of that car still. Just an idea for you to consider.
  7. This doesn't sound good. I'm not a doctor by any means, but it's my understanding if you suffer a severe concussion (and i would assume if he is still feeling effects 3 weeks later, this qualifies as severe) then you are much more vulnerable to them in the future. This could be very bad for him. Excellent player too, what a shame if it is.
  8. First play of the season was a WTF moment, then we looked great. First drive against NE was brilliant and then we immediately out thought ourselves and went 3 and out 3 straight possessions digging a hole we could never get out of. Last week we simply dominated. Hopefully he learned his lesson from that NE game. So refreshing to not see run up the middle, run up the middle, pass 3 yards short of the sticks, punt. Rinse and repeat.
  9. My favorite. Just something about her that blows everyone else away.
  10. I've been told by people who worked at pizza places that it is, in fact, not margherita but some company out of Ohio that a lot of them use. I didn't catch the name but specifically remember them saying that it was not Margherita. That stuff is the bomb for cheese and crackers though, or just with some fresh italian bread from a baker. Edit: I found it, it's called Ezzo Supreme Special pepperoni. If you get a pizza with the curled up pepperoni with the delicious puddle of grease in the middle and burnt edges, this is what you are having (although many do use Margherita, that distinct curled up burnt edges puddle of grease is not them). http://ezzo.com/products.html Being from around that area I'm a huge fan of them as well. To me, they are the best place to get Pizza and Wings. Some places have better wings, some places have better pizza, but they are an excellent choice if you want to order both.
  11. There is also a La Haceinda on Brighton. Related? Decent italian that is very modestly priced but never tried their pizza.
  12. Yep. However, I wouldn't completely avoid Hopkins. It can be hit or miss though. I'd say 1 of 5 pies you are like "what the F did they do to this one." Maybe more like 1 in 10. I have said that once or twice about the Bailey location too though. That's just what happens when you use a pizza oven that is not one of those that just is on a conveyor and you have to actually check it and cook it properly using young kids.
  13. Last night on the Freddie Coleman radio show (hosted by someone else last night) they had a discussion about the 3rd best QB in the league behind Brady and Rogers. One caller brought up Tyrod and the host said I can entertain that discussion. Unfortunately he did not entertain that discussion and actually discuss him at length. He only went on to discuss the other QB the caller mentioned (Manning I believe) and how he should not be in the discussion right now. I just thought it was great that the guy didn't shoot down Tyrod as the 3rd best QB in the league right now (he was also taking out Luck on performance so far, Big Ben/Romo because of injury, etc.) Cam was the most talked about guy though, and rightly so.
  14. Gilmore is better than Darby still. They just rarely throw his way because he is in guys back pockets all game long. But to your point, yes, he is doing a superb job in my opinion.
  15. Unless you have some insider information regarding this I disagree with you. I think he did have an inkling that Tyrod could be very good. I think he was the QB that he was very excited to show Thurman videos of and I think the Bills went after him just as much, if not more than he came to us. McCown and Cassell were always a fall back plan in my opinion if EJ and Tyrod looked bad in camp. Nothing more. Why is it so hard to believe that we saw something in a guy who broke all of Michael Vicks records at Virginia Tech and had time to develop properly behind a solid QB in a solid organization? It really does not seem far fetched to me at all. Linking an article that just says we signed Tyrod Taylor, I'm not too sure what to make of that.
  16. I don't know about this. Don't you remember when there was a story about how he was freshly minted as the coach and he ran into Thurman. He pulled him into a film room or something and said something along the lines of look at this guy I like at QB. He also said, if I remember correctly, something like we are going to go in a little talked about direction at QB. Do you think that he'd be excited to show Thurman highlights of McCown or Cassell? I don't. I think he had his eye on Tyrod the entire time.
  17. Man, some posters are just lame and that list is growing daily. I agree with your thought process and that is really the only thing that I could think of that he wouldn't want to share.
  18. Yoenis Cespedes supposedly still smokes during games, not in view of the cameras though. Also, it was pretty awesome when Angel Cabrera was ripping cigs while walking down the fairways on his way to winning the US Open and Masters. They got him on camera a few times. Loved it.
  19. The guy is 3 games into his first season on a team that lost 1/2 it's entire starting roster it seems to retirement and FA. They have to give him a bit of slack, no?
  20. Someone should tell the Bears that they play football, not baseball.
  21. What was the Bills BS excuse for dominating the Dolphins? Just curious.
  22. I know you were, perhaps you forgot we were HS classmates! You mean like the one that destroyed us last week? All those routes are reading defenses and timing and precise accuracy is the thing that makes them go, that's his strong point for sure.
  23. Just wondering if you would have said the same thing about Brees coming out of Purdue? That's who I see him as akin to. I agree that he's most likely a 2nd or 3rd rounder because arm strength will make him fall a bit. I think he is very good though and will be a quality starter in the NFL.
  24. Mr. Invisible. This guy is going to be really, really good IMO.
