  1. Sorry, but I disagree with this. The NFL is full of stupid people making stupid decisions all over the place with countless careers being built on nepotism alone. And there are some very knowledgeable posters on this site.
  2. Who can throw in the snow and bitter cold? Pretty much every NFL caliber QB there is.
  3. Exactly. I haven't noticed him in 2 years. Scratch that, I notice him when he's getting 15 yard penalties.
  4. Only measure of success is a SB title IMO. So, no.
  5. I would rather have a manager like Rex. But one like Marone would get more out of me, if that makes sense.
  6. What made that worse was that he was coming off a shoulder injury at Oklahoma too, and they still did it.
  7. Hard not to root for this kid regardless of where he ends up...except NE.
  8. Watched a few of their games this season, including their bowl game. This guy was flying all over the field making plays all game, every game. At first I knew nothing about him, but I remember I kept saying to myself "there is the guy with one hand again" and again and again and again. Amazing. Seemed like every time the D made a good play, he was a part of it. This is a kid I would be proud to have represent our franchise. Unfortunately, I think his stock is rising. It's gone from whether he will be drafted at all to now I wouldn't be surprised if someone snagged him in the 3rd.
  9. Because they can sell now and get the highest possible return for him via a trade or they can hold on to him for one year and, most likely, be left with nothing to show for it after the 2018 season.
  10. Lamar has progressed quite nicely as a QB over the last two seasons. The difference in his pocket awareness and footwork from last year to this year was shocking to me. I think he may be a lot more "ready" than people are giving him credit for, especially if he can make another leap forward this off-season like he did the last one. This kid clearly works hard at making himself a better QB in all respects and he has really grown on me over the course of this season. I've got him third behind Mayfield and then Darnold for who I would want.
  11. Rudolph reminds me of Mettenberger. Strong arm QB that was made to look a lot better than he actually is by having 2 high quality, NFL level WRs to throw to. But he is not NFL good himself. He will not amount to much in the NFL, book it.
  12. Bill Burr to me.
  13. You guys may want to prepare yourself for this team giving Tyrod a few more years. He has the exact type of character the management wants and his performance on the field is not that bad (despite most around here only looking at Passing yards as the measuring stick for success). We can also get him a lot cheaper than other options. At this point, I suspect we will be building around Tyrod, not looking to replace him immediately. I would be shocked if we made a push at a FA QB or traded to get to the top of the draft for a blue chipper.
  14. Way too many here that are not at all embarrassing. This one, however, certainly is. Lisa Loeb - Stay (I Missed You)
  15. Well, Watson already has it seems and he was sitting there for the taking.
  16. I think a lot of posters are understating how he was playing pre-injury. By many accounts he was DEVELOPING into a franchise QB. The Vikings were very happy with his progress. He wasn't there quite yet, but they and many around the league thought he was not that far off. There was a lot of excitement in Minn. However, that injury was bad, like almost had to have his leg amputated bad. You can't give a guy coming off something like that $12M without showing something first. We also have to come to the realization that there is a very good chance we are not going to be able to get one of the top 3 or 4 QBs in the draft. With our pick being worse than most expected and KCs as well, it's probably going to take a lot more than just those 2 1st to get up high enough, and how much are we willing to give up? Another 1st next year? 2 more 2nds? We may be stuck seeing what we have in Peterman and a 2nd tier guy in this years draft, bringing in Teddy for cheap on a year deal may be worth a shot.
  17. Wow, all those courses just made me realize how little I actually know. Looks like an awesome site though.
  18. Every single NFL coach has a big ego. Every single one. You don't get to that level of such an elite field without a certain level of competitiveness and ego driving you all the way there. A major part of this build is finding depth guys that come in and there isn't a huge drop off in production. Be it by a more simple scheme on both sides of the ball and by adding the right guys on the roster. A lot of this has been done already, I think, but finish that process in only 5 games and one partial off season is impossible.
  19. I don't know. I would think that they could create play action plays simulating more successful run plays where they wouldn't have to "sacrifice." i think we just played 3 really good front 7s and then we were missing Cordy against the Falcons. A healthy OLine (especially arguably our best OLineman) and front 7s that aren't top of the league and it's a different result I think. The Jets have one of the best DLines, the Panthers have one of the best set of LBs, and the Broncos defense is very good at all levels. The thought has some merit it to it though I think.
  20. That's right where I went too. Such an amazing album. Only 2/5 of them left now. Sad.
  21. Sorry, he wants to nit pick on "conservative" play calling after our biggest road win in how long and best start in how long, when the drive before with less than 7 minutes left they were anything but conservative calling that pass to Clay. Sorry, not today. Not letting it slide this time. Maybe on Tuesday or Wednesday it's worth discussing. Not today.
  22. How about that 30 something yard pass to Clay on first down the drive before when we were tied right after that TD? Why aren't you mentioning that? How conservative was that? Go away.
  23. This thread is fantastic. That's all.
  24. I can listen to pretty much any classical music and be fine with it. I can listen to a lot of rap and absolutely hate it. However, the rap that I do like, I like more than pretty much any classical. So, it's tough to say. I'm going with classical I guess.
