  1. Way too many here that are not at all embarrassing. This one, however, certainly is. Lisa Loeb - Stay (I Missed You)
  2. Well, Watson already has it seems and he was sitting there for the taking.
  3. I think a lot of posters are understating how he was playing pre-injury. By many accounts he was DEVELOPING into a franchise QB. The Vikings were very happy with his progress. He wasn't there quite yet, but they and many around the league thought he was not that far off. There was a lot of excitement in Minn. However, that injury was bad, like almost had to have his leg amputated bad. You can't give a guy coming off something like that $12M without showing something first. We also have to come to the realization that there is a very good chance we are not going to be able to get one of the top 3 or 4 QBs in the draft. With our pick being worse than most expected and KCs as well, it's probably going to take a lot more than just those 2 1st to get up high enough, and how much are we willing to give up? Another 1st next year? 2 more 2nds? We may be stuck seeing what we have in Peterman and a 2nd tier guy in this years draft, bringing in Teddy for cheap on a year deal may be worth a shot.
  4. Wow, all those courses just made me realize how little I actually know. Looks like an awesome site though.
  5. Every single NFL coach has a big ego. Every single one. You don't get to that level of such an elite field without a certain level of competitiveness and ego driving you all the way there. A major part of this build is finding depth guys that come in and there isn't a huge drop off in production. Be it by a more simple scheme on both sides of the ball and by adding the right guys on the roster. A lot of this has been done already, I think, but finish that process in only 5 games and one partial off season is impossible.
  6. I don't know. I would think that they could create play action plays simulating more successful run plays where they wouldn't have to "sacrifice." i think we just played 3 really good front 7s and then we were missing Cordy against the Falcons. A healthy OLine (especially arguably our best OLineman) and front 7s that aren't top of the league and it's a different result I think. The Jets have one of the best DLines, the Panthers have one of the best set of LBs, and the Broncos defense is very good at all levels. The thought has some merit it to it though I think.
  7. That's right where I went too. Such an amazing album. Only 2/5 of them left now. Sad.
  8. Sorry, he wants to nit pick on "conservative" play calling after our biggest road win in how long and best start in how long, when the drive before with less than 7 minutes left they were anything but conservative calling that pass to Clay. Sorry, not today. Not letting it slide this time. Maybe on Tuesday or Wednesday it's worth discussing. Not today.
  9. How about that 30 something yard pass to Clay on first down the drive before when we were tied right after that TD? Why aren't you mentioning that? How conservative was that? Go away.
  10. I can listen to pretty much any classical music and be fine with it. I can listen to a lot of rap and absolutely hate it. However, the rap that I do like, I like more than pretty much any classical. So, it's tough to say. I'm going with classical I guess.
  11. You missed the most prophetic part, IMO. "All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests" Now this is spot on, IMO. Political parties and the divides that they thrive off of are the culprit for many of today's issues. They allow money to have way too much influence in politics, they allow a very small group of influential leaders pretty much run everything, they promote strict party alliances instead of consensus and negotiation, they control who is on the ballets and conspire against candidates, and we are trapped by them. There is no reasonable alternative at this point. It's a shame.
  12. The album that inspired Duane Allman to learn the slide guitar (in one day if you can believe that). I was hooked 30 seconds into the first song.
  13. While I love Watson and think he is going to be a very good QB, I don't expect it to be this year. Houston's offense is very vulnerable and they are 1 or 2 injuries away from having an ordinary defense. We should at least be excited about what we have seen so far. This team may just claw their way into the hunt in December. And NE defense? Don't tell me we have no chance of beating them once.
  14. The Beach Boys went downhill fast when Wilson lost his mind. Pet Sounds and then pretty much done. And Pet Sounds was probably just before he tripped just a bit too hard and lost it. Almost everything after Pet Sounds was crap IMO.
  15. I disagree. Our defense deserved to win. And if it was that one call from the refs that we needed them to make to put us in position, or the one outstanding catch we needed, well, that's what we needed and it is the officials job to call a blatant face mask in open field, especially when they are calling iffy offensive pass interference calls on the same drive.
  16. I remember playing that POS as a kid. Had absolutely no idea what to do. So frustrating. Apparently, though, the game was actually well ahead of its time and not that bad, they just provided no instruction at all on what the heck you were supposed to do, or a map of the "3d" world to navigate it properly so everyone go too confused. Saw an interesting documentary on it a year or so ago.
  17. That purchase doesn't seem pointless, that would be a great car to have around if you aren't making any more payments on it (i'm sure from 2010). What was stupid was two major accidents to ruin it.
  18. Yeah, because the refs did nothing wrong last year against Seattle. Have definitely seen that called before in games. Maybe they are actively looking for it more this year though. To get 2 in one game is rare for sure.
  19. Nothing more frustrating than losing games because of penalties. Glad we are off to a good start here. Hopefully it continues to trend down. I also saw more urgency in the 2 minute drill which was nice and I'm sure we will see smarter TO and challenge use when applicable, didn't need it last game.
  20. Wow, that's it? Surprising.
