The music from "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve is actually an orchestral version of "The Last Time" by The Rolling Stones (which they stole from an old Gospel hymn).  The Verve was only allowed to sample a small section it but a TRS manager argued they took too much and in the end lost songwriting credits to Jagger and Richards and all the money from it.

Yeah, and if you listen to the Stones version of the song you can't hear it at all.  You can only hear it in the orchestral cover of it.

  2. MLB package sucks for one reason, the blackouts.  If you are in Buffalo you are blacked out for Yankee, Mets, Guardians, Blue Jays, and Pirates games.  It's ridiculous.  I would never buy it unless I knew what my blackout situation was.

Dirk might agree with you, but only because he is too humble to put himself in that spot. He is the only big guy in the top 20 three point shooters of all time.

Just a couple of points on this.

    1.  Larry wasn't very good at 3s the first few seasons of his career, impacting his career %.  His year 6-9 are all over 40%, one being 42.7% from 3, another 42.3%.  Breaking 40% 6 times in his career.  Dirk only did it 5 times in a much longer, healthier career.  His high was 42.1%

    2.  Larry injured his back in his prime (while he was 4 consecutive seasons over 40%), what could have been if he stayed healthy.  But he didn't.

    3.  Larry played in a different time when 3 pointers we not nearly as much as a focus.   Fewer attempts, fewer plays to get open for them, etc.

Dirk is the man and a fantastic all time-great, but IMO, Larry was just a tad better.

Now, go look at Steph's 3 point numbers and see who the real GOAT is.  Amazing.

  4. 1:15 - 2:49  Duane's solo before he passes it on to Dickey Betts.  This is Duane's last solo recording, shortly before his death.  Symbolizing passing the torch to Betts.  My personal favorite solo of all time.  Keep listening and you can hear how a master can just slide into a rhythm role effortlessly after a killer solo.

  5. Not as scary as this....they say space is constantly expanding.  That would mean that there would have to be some sort of end or boundary for it if it is expanding, right?  Well, what the hell is on the other side of that boundary?

And the universe is expanding in all directions at once.  But what is it expanding into???

    Exactly!

Yes.  Rodgers had 1 down year.  He had won 2 straight MVPs before that, and 4 total.  Obviously long term, Allen > Rodgers.  If Rodgers continues downhill, then obviously Allen > Rodgers.  But Rodgers was a top 2-3 QB in the NFL for 12+ years.  1 down disgruntled year doesn't guarantee he is suddenly trash.

I could see Rodgers playing lights out next year just to prove the Packers wrong.

Hits a little different when that year comes when you are 39 years old.

Because Dabol is the brains of the Bills offense, and he's gone took Hodgins as soon as he was available.

Should have left McD in KC after his latest postseason meltdown,  13 seconds, and elevated Dabol.

Yawn, another tool who actually thinks he knows more than guys who have been involved in coaching/team building in the NFL for decades.  I'm sure you're an expert WebMD doctor too.

  8. Working too much is so stupid, unless you truly enjoy working of course.  Life is too short, do what makes you happy, not what makes some rich dude even richer.  Nothing I regret more than wasting my twenties working 60+ hours a week salaried for a Billion dollar corporation that didn't give a crap about any of us, despite their persistent claims of being a family.

I disagree with the HC. the first half of the year what we were doing is shorter passing. and it was working great... no one really stopped that style of play... I think the OC made mid-season adjustments that adversely affected this offense.

McD is not going to throw him under the bus but I feel we all saw it.

You mean because our QB injured his elbow and couldn't accurately make those throws any longer with additional strain on an injured elbow?  What a coincidence.

my thought also.  1.   it stupid to race cars that could be raced (Nissan Z, etc.); and 2.  racing an Expedition and a Trailhawk is just asking for additional trouble.

if you want to race cars, go to a track.  A public street is not the place for that.

Exactly.  I have an M240, its fast as hell.  I've never raced anybody on the streets in 5 years of owning it.  I have, however, took it up to 120 on the highway during the day without another car in sight (thank you 990).  It could have easily kept going, but that was plenty enough for me on a public highway.

I was today years old when I learned Jeep makes a 100k Cherokee. Just….why? Get a Corvette or a Mustang GT500

You can't get a corvette for 100k anymore unfortunately.  They have gone supercar (albeit the best value in supercars).  Sports car under 100k i'm taking an M3 all day.  It will smoke a GT Mustang on any track.

Who hasn't raced and sped. My only real problem here, as far as a character concern, is if he knew the teammate was drunk. That changes things for me. Sad story, kids mistake no doubt. We're there prev character concerns?

Not a teammate.  Chandler was a woman staffer.  The teammate that died was a passenger.
