If season 2 was its own show with its own name then people would have liked it just fine. It's seen in a negative light only because of the unrealistic expectations people had after season 1. It really wasn't bad at all in retrospect.

NFL preparing for another work disruption in 2021??

I don't know man, I could hardly watch when the Refs were scabs, much less the players. -
Well, since Blind Melon was brought up. Huge fan, I think they are one of the most underrated bands ever. That first album is exquisite on so many levels. This tune on it (which never really stood out to me for 20 years) has really spoken to me lately for some reason.

Usually compilations like this are terrible. But this one is very well done, with a great variety, great editing, and a very easy way to waste 30 mins on a weekend morning.

No love for Marcus Easley? -
No F'n way. There are two ways to win in this league as I see it. 1. Have one of the best QBs around and pay them what they deserve. Brady, Rogers, Brees, that level of guy. 2. Hit on a young QB in their rookie deal that is "good enough" and spend on talent around them while they are still cheap. If he really shines you sign him to money referred to in point #1 and ride him for 10 more years. 2b. Get a good, cheap back-up/journeyman type that could also potentially thrive surrounded by the right talent, or just have a magical season like the Vikings last year (or Foles). There is no "overpay for mediocre at best QBs at the expense of the rest of the roster's talent and then go win a Super Bowl."

Mahomes had a fantastic year, no doubt. The question is whether he will be able to maintain it when teams have a whole year of tape on him and their offense and then further down the road when he's making $30+M / year against the cap and they cannot surround him such a high level of talent that they have now. Time will tell.

Cool video. I have a feeling these guys might become famous.

This is not true at all. With the success of Mayfield this year and Murray's performance, I believe he will be #1 overall IF he makes it clear that he is football focused only and not trying to play baseball as well. He is better than any other QB in this draft and there will be a team willing to trade up for him. Again, only IF he says he is playing football only.

Pappy's are 15 years and older. Their "low end" is Old Rip Van Winkle, it's 10 years and ONLY $500 if you can find it. It will be interesting to see how being bought by Buffalo Trace will impact the supply. Part of the reason the price is so high is because it is rare, if Buffalo Trace significantly increases supply it could go down considerably. They started making it 2002 so what they have made is already aged and bottled but no real impact yet but it still hasn't hit the real high end stuff yet.

Legal in Amsterdam...had some, went to Van Gogh museum...mind blown. Granted, I've had previous experience. Would not recommend that for a first timer. -
Off season fun - Jared Goff pranks college team
Mark80 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the one when Greg Maddux pranks Kris Bryant. Bryant had done something similar to what Goff did a few years back. Then, The Professor decided to get him back. He was an audio guy and Bryant was filming a promotional video of some sort. The guy throwing BP had to bail and Maddux volunteered to take over for him. Bryant tried to say no thanks but got convinced to let him. Then he couldn't make any solid contact at all against a 50 something year old Maddux. All while Maddux was talking trash and Bryant was getting noticeably frustrated. Clearly impressed by Maddux, Bryant would make comments like "is this guy serious?" regarding the quality of the pitches. It was great. If you want to check it out: -
I watched Lock numerous times this year. He is, quite simply, not good. I have a feeling he's not even going to be a first rounder. I just can't see where all the hype on this kid is coming from. Teams are going to see through the mirage when they start looking closely.

The buffalo stampede noise was soooo much better with the video of a stampede on the big screen.

Not mine, but my sister once asked in complete seriousness how they get the seeds out of a seedless watermelon. As if they somehow opened it up, removed the seeds and then sealed it back up for sale. -
Bills Should Be Judicious in Free Agency
Mark80 replied to racketmaster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the Rookie pay scale as it is and the ever growing salary cap, it is basically a given that virtually all FAs are significantly overpaid. In our current situation I am OK with overpaying them, but they have to do so with front loaded deals where the cap impact is the highest next year and then tapers off. That flies in the face of a typical contract, but I can't see a player arguing against getting more of their money sooner. -
Definitely did. Two TDs for sure. But man, that speed and agility is electric. Reminds me so much of Tyreek Hill. I think his full body of work shows that he does not have tremendous hands issues, but he's certainly never going to be DeAndre Hopkins in that respect.

Me as well. I use 3 mg, sometimes 6 mg. I do, however, feel groggy in the AM sometimes. Not nearly as bad as w/ prescribed sleep aids like Ambien which made me feel completely worthless until the afternoon. Also, cutting down TV / Screen time before trying to fall asleep and definitely don't try to fall asleep with the TV on.

Draft Day - Allen was the guy I wanted least out of the 5 projected first rounders. Being the homer that I am I was on board as soon as we picked him (this was the exact same scenario with EJ for me). Now my perspective has completely changed. This kid has something special. Not only is his talent off the charts, but he has the intangibles too. This guy can lead a team (haven't seen this at all from Darnold or Rosen yet, have seen it from Mayfield and Lamar though). Guys seem to respond to him and like him a lot. So much more so than just watching Tyrod on the bench every week not talking to anyone or celebrating with anyone. Just sitting there. Josh is pumping up the D, celebrating with the team, truly leading. So excited to see what he can do with another year of development and adding additional talent around him this off-season.
