Best and Worst Sequels of All Time
Mark80 replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A lot of mine were covered already. But I'll offer up Back to the Future II as a good one. Huge Super Troopers fan, but I heard the second one was horrendous. Haven't checked it out because of that though. -
Bills one of 6 teams in on Leveon Bell

For all we know the Jets are just in it to drive up the price for the Bills as well. -
Bills betting on the acumen of their medical staff

Honest question...who has been in the year for 4+ years and hasn't battled injuries? I would suspect that list is pretty small. That is why you don't overpay for "elite" FAs and then you have the money to build solid depth just in case. -
Wr signings vote of confidence for Foster and Zay?

Yeah, this list really looks like a good indicator of NFL success. One good player on that list, and he is last on it. Hell, I've only ever heard of 3 of them. -
Talent vs Multiple low level players?
Mark80 replied to 100DollarBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best teams get their elite talent via the draft and retain them. They don't pay an extra 50% on guys because they are paying the FA premium rates. And, curious, what happens when the team invests all that money on elite talent FAs and then they get hurt and you couldn't afford proper depth? Short answer, you are screwed. -
So, who exactly said that AB spit in our face? Seems to me that all the people involved say the Bills walked away. The only ones saying otherwise are pundits who are making assumptions, not stating facts. And guess what, these guy depend on clicks and hot takes to remain relevant. Saying AB refused is a much more attractive story line for them.

I think Zay is a dead man walking. Williams, Brown, Beasley...the writing is certainly on the wall for him. -
WR Cole Beasley (Dallas) to the Bills

Finally a slot guy! Safe to say WR is out at #9. -
Anonymous Agents Rank Buffalo The Worst FA Destination

I get it, I do. But really, how is Cincy not the worst? Terrible team, notoriously cheap owner, a pretty crappy city. -

I'm sure there would be a follow up move with Shady or Ivory at the very least. Really, did they make the playoffs last year and I missed it? Conner started out good, but faded big time. Zero 100+ yard games rushing after week 8. -

How anyone could be against getting one of the best RBs in the league with the best receiving skills is beyond me. We have the money. We have the need for real play makers. He is not a malcontent, he just wanted to protect his worth. Nothing wrong with that. I would be stoked to get him. Especially if we can get 1 or 2 more starting lineman through FA/draft.- 701 replies

Corporations and, in turn, political parties running the country for the gain of small minority. Anyone thinking this is democracy has simply fallen victim to the political machine's propaganda. It's an oligarchy, no doubt about it. Get the money out of politics and we may just have a chance yet. I've posted this before, but it deserves to be posted over and over and over again. An excerpt from George Washington's farewell address warning against political parties and their true nature. Reads pretty accurate to me: "All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." -

Just curious, when has there ever been a President who was elected to their first term that had previous experience being the President? Hum....? -
Same.

Seriously though....how the F can anyone tell their hair stylist to cut their hair that way and be serious about it? Doesn't he have any close friends or family to ask him what the hell he is thinking? -
CB Kevin Johnson (Texans) to the Bills
Mark80 replied to N.Y. Orangeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Worried about the concussions a bit, but I'm sure that was taken into account during he negotiations. As long as the contract isn't crazy, this is great. As a bonus, having went to Wake for grad school I always root for their players. -
Hozier show last night at Shea's was tremendous. Fantastic voice. They finished with this one, my personal favorite of his.
-
Well, they are tanking, right? Seems like a good fit then.

Come on man, at least use the correct first round pick for the Bills with this idea. Also, I don't think anyone is trading up for Lock. Watch some of his game film. Sure, a lot of talent on the face, but when you watch him, he just is so underwhelming. I can't imagine anyone trading up for him.

Screw Rotoworld's Buffalo Bashing
Mark80 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definitely did live there and not in the 70s before I was born. Traveled daily all around the area for work. It's a complete S*hole and I stand by it. Now, as I said in my original post, that is OUTSIDE the downtown area which is, admittedly, very nice. The stadium area is nice too, but go 1/2 mile away from it and its terrible. Same with South Shore. The outer edges of the city and the surrounding suburbs are worn down, abandoned, dirty, and rusty. I had to find a place 30 miles outside the city to live that was decent (Cranberry Twp area) and if you want to live any where nice downtown, be prepared to pay a small fortune. And Primanti Bros is disgusting too. -
They are not mutually exclusive. You can get a big name WR AND OLine.
