  1. Uber and Lyft are well known in the Bay area software space to not be ride sharing companies. They are data collection companies. They take all the permissions you give them and collect as much data as they can about you. Where you go, when you go, where you live, etc. What they do with it, who knows? But I'm guessing they are selling it to others. All I know is that I download the app only when I need and then delete it immediately after I'm done. Every time.
  2. What, overpaying a guy from one great performance? Where have we seen that before (i'm looking at you Rob Johnson and kinda at you too Fitzy).
  3. Hum...always felt that mortified was a much stronger word than simple embarrassment. Guess I was off a bit, fair enough.
  4. To say Generation Z'ers are over-dramatic may be the understatement of the century. "Mortified" over it, g the f outta here.
  5. Cutting this guy was the best thing to ever happen to him. Now he gets it, it seems.
  6. Simple, they know they cannot afford to re-sign him to a new deal and they would rather get some assets for him than let him walk out the door with them getting nothing back for him.
  7. Auburn was run heavy offense when he was there. If you watched the games though, his talent still stood out and he made some tremendous plays. I clearly remember being "wow'd" by him numerous times.
  8. A lot of mine were covered already. But I'll offer up Back to the Future II as a good one. Huge Super Troopers fan, but I heard the second one was horrendous. Haven't checked it out because of that though.
  9. For all we know the Jets are just in it to drive up the price for the Bills as well.
  10. Honest question...who has been in the year for 4+ years and hasn't battled injuries? I would suspect that list is pretty small. That is why you don't overpay for "elite" FAs and then you have the money to build solid depth just in case.
  11. Yeah, this list really looks like a good indicator of NFL success. One good player on that list, and he is last on it. Hell, I've only ever heard of 3 of them.
  12. The best teams get their elite talent via the draft and retain them. They don't pay an extra 50% on guys because they are paying the FA premium rates. And, curious, what happens when the team invests all that money on elite talent FAs and then they get hurt and you couldn't afford proper depth? Short answer, you are screwed.
  13. So, who exactly said that AB spit in our face? Seems to me that all the people involved say the Bills walked away. The only ones saying otherwise are pundits who are making assumptions, not stating facts. And guess what, these guy depend on clicks and hot takes to remain relevant. Saying AB refused is a much more attractive story line for them.
  14. I think Zay is a dead man walking. Williams, Brown, Beasley...the writing is certainly on the wall for him.
  15. Finally a slot guy! Safe to say WR is out at #9.
  16. I get it, I do. But really, how is Cincy not the worst? Terrible team, notoriously cheap owner, a pretty crappy city.
  17. I'm sure there would be a follow up move with Shady or Ivory at the very least. Really, did they make the playoffs last year and I missed it? Conner started out good, but faded big time. Zero 100+ yard games rushing after week 8.
  18. How anyone could be against getting one of the best RBs in the league with the best receiving skills is beyond me. We have the money. We have the need for real play makers. He is not a malcontent, he just wanted to protect his worth. Nothing wrong with that. I would be stoked to get him. Especially if we can get 1 or 2 more starting lineman through FA/draft.
  19. Corporations and, in turn, political parties running the country for the gain of small minority. Anyone thinking this is democracy has simply fallen victim to the political machine's propaganda. It's an oligarchy, no doubt about it. Get the money out of politics and we may just have a chance yet. I've posted this before, but it deserves to be posted over and over and over again. An excerpt from George Washington's farewell address warning against political parties and their true nature. Reads pretty accurate to me: "All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."
  20. Just curious, when has there ever been a President who was elected to their first term that had previous experience being the President? Hum....?
