  1. Yeah, for some reason I thought it came out later that he was actually playing hurt too but since JG and TB were hurt they had no one else to go in there.
  2. In all fairness though, wasn't he playing injured that game but they had no one else to play so he had to? Or am I remembering that wrong?
  3. Hire an accountant, financial planner, and lawyer that I trust. Already have 2 of 3.
  4. Can we at least say wait until they actually play a regular season snap? Is that OK? I am about as pleased as I could be with the draft up until this point. Unfortunately that doesn't say too much quite yet. And to say it looks like a "slam dunk" at this point is just taking it way too far. It would say something, though, if all of our draft picks made the roster. There is usually at least one to the PS or even getting cut.
  5. Oh, so you're the type of person who makes a terrible point, realizes they are a wrong, and then tells a perfectly calm person to "calm down" in order to rile them up instead of just admitting it. Duly noted, cool. Steelers didn't even make the playoffs last year buddy. And that was with AB putting up 105 receptions and 15 TDs. Calmer than you are dude.
  6. I don't know what people's obsession for a first round pick is. You can have a pick that has a 50/50 shot of being a bust basically or you can have a guaranteed stud. If I can afford it, I'm taking the stud. He's also at an optimal RB age to give a deal where you are not on the hook for much money after 3 or 4 years and you get 3 or 4 years of prime age performance. He runs great, he blocks great, he catches balls great, he does it all. Not to mention if the pick is a bust you are wasting millions in cap on a bad player.
  7. Well, with that logic if you look at the Bills history you could say that we are not better than 25 of the teams! The Steelers would not beat us with a home/home schedule twice with the current rosters. In the last 2 years they've lost the best RB in the league, the best WR in the league and one of the best MLB in the league while the Rapist gets another year older.
  8. I'm taking off the Eagles too. Who knows what Wentz is going to do. He didn't look that great last season. And what is with all this Steelers love? Not seeing it. I got: Rams Chiefs Saints Chargers (w/ Gordon) Pats (until Brady proves otherwise they belong here) That's about it.
  9. Maybe if you are arguing against PEDs, but comparing pure skill and numbers, both these guys have him with their hitting for avg and power combos. Not to mention Arods running ability especially in the first 1/2 of his career. Puckett has Manny on D for sure, but Manny's run of numbers from 95 to 08 are mind boggling (not Barry Bonds mind boggling, but he's a lefty and is on a whole separate level from EVERYONE else - if you haven't looked at his stats lately I implore you to do so, its insane).
  10. I mean, he's great. He's HOF worthy. He is not a top 3 right handed hitter of all-time though. Come on now. Arod, Manny, Pujols, Cabrera are all better hitters and that's just from the last couple decades. Then you got Mays, Aaron, Foxx, and plenty of other old timers that would be ahead of him. I'd even put Henderson above him, but he may have a harder argument over just hitting, but offensively as a whole I definitely would with the OBP, Runs, and SBs.
  11. OPs last topic he started: "Anybody know how to get tickets via a download? I mean, without having to drive to a supermarket somewhere to pick up a voucher. In other words, utilizing 21st century technology to accomplish a simple task like getting a ticket to an event that will be about 50,000 people short of a sell out." Always a ray of sunshine and seemingly obsessed with our organizations inability to embrace the "new age 21st century." SMH. Humans. Ugh.

  13. I hate surveys like this. It has no indication on how much they follow/watch their "non-favorite" sports.
  14. Could also be that its impossible to know how every single guy in the NFL actually is "culture fit" wise. And getting him on a 1 year trial period before having to commit big money is exactly the right move. If he fits in, then you pay him the big bucks. Sure, you risk losing him but the bigger risk you protect yourself from is way overpaying for someone who is not what you hoped for.
  15. Fast cars - driving, going to shows, watching videos Expanding vinyl collection Expanding original art collection - try to buy 1 or 2 nice things a year from local shows or local artist galleries on vacations Visiting different MLB stadiums
  16. Nice. My uncle has the CTS V sedan that he never drives and my cousin has the STS V. I've never seen another CTS V on the road besides his.
  17. Agree on everything you said. Alfa and Mass are jokes (the quadrifoglio models have been especially disappointing reliability wise). That M5 V10 is notorious for burning oil (similar to Audi's in that time frame too - I had same problem with a 2007 Audi). The M3 V8 in that time had its fair share of issues as well. I'm was referring specifically to the new B58 engine in the "M lights" and the S55 in the new "True Ms" M2, M3, and M4s. 100% agree with your assessment of Mercedes and their drivers! F-Pace SVR is pretty fast SUV for sure and the SVR models are really the only Jags I would ever consider, but I'm still taking the X3 M Competition over it but its really pretty much a wash. Even with less HP and torque, it has slightly better splits. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it. Admittedly, I currently drive an M240xi so I am a bit biased here.
  18. Have these dudes been put in the thread yet? Like Black Keys, Nathaniel Rateliff sound? How about a stunning woman doing cool stuff? What about great scenery? Well, enjoy then.
  19. I'm in the Collins boat, but my favorite song of theirs may be a Gabriel one. Really dig The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. I'm just not into the progressive rock that much and Collins had a more mainstream sound when he took over.
  20. Actually, the last handful of years BMWs has improved dramatically. The B58 engine, for example, used in M140, M240, M340, Z4 M40, X3 M40, X4 M40, any other "40" in the current lineup and even the new Toyata Supra, has won awards for the best 3.0 engine in the market in 2016 and 2017 (Wards top engines). This year it finished 2nd to the Porsche 2.5 litre turbo in its category for International Engine of the Year award. You'll be hard pressed to find any Mercedes engines on any of the lists at all, much less winning anything. Personally, I'm not a fan of Mercedes unless its an AMG or one of their beautiful coupes/roadsters that are well out of my price range into the 6 figures. I'd take most "M" versions of BMW models over their "AMG" Mercedes counterparts. I'd probably take "RS" Audi's over them too. But who cares in the end, right? They are all amazing cars in reality.....but Jaguars, not so much. They are like Maserati's, cars that people who know about cars laugh at because we know that person just bought it because they wanted a Jag or a Mas for name recognition, not because they are even close to worth what they cost.
