  1. So sad to hear. We are so fortunate to have Oishei. That place and the people who work there are amazing. My nephew had to spend some time there last year. Even though there was nothing they could do here, you can tell in his voice how much compassion and care they showed them, which is vitally important when a tragedy like this happens.
  2. I'll just never be able to understand how they can tell all that from so far away. Temperature readings, UV light. How can they tell its coming from there? How can they see anything at all in that picture? Baffles my mind.
  3. See my last post. I love it so much when people annoying and with certainty try to tell people they are wrong on something and they are the ones who are, in fact, wrong. It makes my day. The rule book clearly says make contact for this situation. Go back to recess, son.
  4. The definition requires contact if you look at the rule book. Specifically it says " Cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball; " Section 5, Article 2, Part e. It would be a very broad interpretation of the rules to extend that beyond what is specifically stated for this situation as you would have to think they added "making contact" in there deliberately as opposed to "significantly hinders" which is used elsewhere. When you interpret legal documents, which a rule book basically is, that is how you do it, with intent in mind and here you have to assume they did what they did on purpose.
  5. This game is more important than yesterday. Always was. While on the rise, we still are not one of the top tier teams. Beating a team we very well may be battling for a playoff spot is much more important than beating the Pats who are probably going to win the division anyway this season. And get in the playoffs with this D and you never know what can happen.
  6. Uhhh, you can't have pass interference without touching the guy. It's pretty simple. As others stated, he should have ran into him. He didn't. So no PI. End of story, unfortunately.
  7. Maybe because he doesn't do anything but take up space. Can't catch consistently. Doesn't even attempt to go for contested balls. Doesn't even attempt to tackle a defender who picks off a pass. A better question may be what has he ever done to help this team in his entire career? Absolutely nothing. He hurts us more than he helps. And it's not even close. You simply cannot be a WR in this league and not be able to catch the ball.
  8. Guy has a bad game against the best defense in football...or at least top 3 with us and the Bears. Yeah, lets bring out the pitchforks. Brilliant.
  9. What a joke this statement is. Morphing into Tyrod Taylor...yeah, ok buddy.
  10. I don't know man. I feel like if we watched all the balls thrown his way over his career there would be more balls that hit his hands and he didn't catch than ones that he did. (counting certain tough ones, of course, but a lot of easy ones too that a pro WR should make consistently) Maybe that's a gross exaggeration, but it just doesn't feel like it to me.
  11. Lee Smith sucked the first time we had him and he still sucks today. 4 out of 6 penalties at one point on him. Get him off the field. Zay Jones is terrible as well. Complete lack of effort. Never makes plays. There is no way you can tell me he is a better WR than Duke. None. Get him off the team.
  12. Get a cheap first one. When your fingers are killing you and you are aren't seeing much progress it will be an easier pill to swallow if you give up. I've tried learning at least 5 times. Can't stick with it though and can't get more than 4 or 5 chords down each time. Good luck though!
  13. Uh, no. There has not been a single time in the last 2 years that I have thought to myself, "man, I miss Zach Brown or Nigel Bradham."
  14. Who is this guy you ask? He is everything that is wrong with the current state of social media and pop culture music. A talent-less, auto-tune using, fake gangster who overstepped his bounds and got in trouble with the real ones. Now he's crying like the little B that he is so save his own butt.
  15. Ha! Yeah, I knew that little tid bit, but have yet to see it happen thankfully. I'm actually amazed it doesn't happen often. And on a side note, I think I'm gonna start rooting for Takakeisho. I love his I don't give a F attitude he seems to have. He just looks so nonchalant every match. Hardly throws any salt in. Just like, whatever, lets do this. Plus he may be the next Yokozuna from what I'm seeing as he just got back to Ozeki at only 23.
  16. I can't find a rhyme or reason as to who sets first. It seems to be mostly based on rank I think with the higher ranked wrestler doing as they prefer (mostly going 2nd). But I think there are some that prefer going first and they do it by choice when they are higher ranked. Takakeisho is an example of this. He did it first every time. But I do know that the match officially starts when both fists of both wrestlers make contact with the ground. Some Gyoji are more strict than others on this so sometimes there is just ghost contact with the 4th hand. When it's stopped it's because one didn't touch the mat with both fists (or wasn't close enough to say good enough according to the Gyoji).
  17. Highly recommend finishing the rest of the basho. It was an excellent finish to the tournament!
  18. No one gets beat up over 1 or 2 bad plays a game more than Edmunds. It's pretty funny to me. As I say when people talk about Allen being inaccurate on a couple throws a game. Every QB misses open passes and every MLB gets blocked out of play, over pursues a PA, and loses a RB / TE in coverage during a game. Every. Single. One.
  19. I'm a Sugar Magnolia guy. One of my all-time favorites. She come skimming through rays of violet She can wade in a drop of dew She don't come and I don't follow Waits backstage while I sing to you
  20. IF we can pull it out Sunday it would do nothing for me but solidify my thoughts of us as a playoff team. The season is long, it's the NFL. Any team (well, almost any team) can beat any other team any one single game. It's what you do over the course of the season that matters. This team is far too young for me to think of us as better than the Pats or Chiefs quite yet regardless of what we do on Sunday. Sure makes me feel good about the long-term prospects of this team though. Now, if we win this and we win again in NE later in the season leading to a division title, that's when I'm getting really excited for THIS season.
  21. Funny. Someone calls you out for a logic fallacy which is perpetuated over and over and over on this board and instead of defending your position with examples, you say I'm a dog without a bone or that I'm somehow offended. Nope, I just like facts and reason. And my alma mater has exactly 1 player in the NFL now. Definitely has nothing to do with it. Peace.
