  1. Bill Belichick didn't with the SB until his 7th season as a head coach. This includes going 5-11 in his first season as Pats coach the season before he won his first. Maybe, just maybe, we give the guy that got us to the playoffs with a horrible roster and will most likely get to the playoffs again this year for 2 out of 3 years, a bit of some slack, no?
  2. Once you graduate college any fighting days should be long gone. Would I hit some dude that did what this guy did to your wife, probably depends on my condition at the moment. Would I talk sh1t to him, for sure. Now, if he punched/slapped/pushed her or kept doing what he did to her, then i would be left with no choice. I could probably let one honk pass though.
  3. I wish we were able to use the red helmets once or twice a year. Such a dumb rule. If college can figure it out, why can't the NFL? I played some Madden wearing all blues with the red helmets, it looked fantastic.
  4. Something about auctioning off a majority black player base on a stage just doesn't seem right to me. Call me crazy. I always thought they should just give the team that finishes in 13th place (best non-playoff team) the #1 overall pick, then 14th gets #2, etc. and the playoff teams still go last. Then everyone is always to trying to finish as high as possible.
  5. Saw title and said to myself "if Aretha isn't #1 this list is complete BS." Went straight to #1 and there she was. While I disagree with much on the list, at least they got that right!
  6. Uh....Mahomes...????
  7. Just found it funny that you say puzzling attachment to .... 3 guys that aren't on the team anymore. Made me chuckle. I know what you meant though.
  8. I'm at an A-. Improve things like timeout and late half game management as well as bad challenges and he can get that up to an A. A+ is reserved for when he wins the SB.
  9. Toast with grape jelly and scrambled eggs on top. Kraft Mac N Cheese w/ Ketchup
  10. Sorry my word choice offends you so much. Josh Allen is not 5 years into his career. If Josh Allen is throwing 16 TDs or more INTs than TDs in year 5, then yes, I believe we may have to re-assess our guy and I would have serious concerns about his ability to be a even a quality back-up. However, I find that to be very unlikely.
  11. Of course Calvin was amazing. I'm actually more referring to Oline and Defense. Putting up stats in the passing game was never an issue. Winning games is.
  12. Perhaps stopping threads like this starting in the first place. Yes, he's a clown. He has thrown more than 20 TDs once in his career and has regressed ever since. His QBR is terrible. His yards per attempt is terrible. Take out his second season and he is barely throwing more TDs than Interceptions. He crumbles with any pass rush what so ever. I mean, there is a reason they are considering playing Tannehill over him. And I don't believe Tannehill is a better back up than Barkley either. At this point it seems all Marcus is trying to do is not throw INTs. He is starting to look like Tyrod Taylor, but without exceptional running skills.
  13. Stafford has been surrounded by horrendous talent his entire career. Put him on a good team and I would love to see what he could do. He is not, nor has ever been, the problem for the Lions. If Allen can put up even close to his passing numbers, we are in for a wild 10+ years because I don't see Beane ever managing our talent on this roster so poorly as what Stafford has had to deal with.
  14. My lord. Are you serious? Have you ever watched this clown play? He is not better than Josh Allen or Matt Barkley.
  15. So the Jets barely beat a struggling (especially with OLine injuries) Cowboys team and now we are supposed to be concerned about them as a wild card competitor? Come on now. Can we at least wait until they win...i don't know...2 games???
  16. The guy is only good as a return guy. One problem...he can't catch a punt. Maybe some team will have a punt catcher who immediately hands it off to him after he catches it for him? Otherwise, this guy is useless.
  17. So sad to hear. We are so fortunate to have Oishei. That place and the people who work there are amazing. My nephew had to spend some time there last year. Even though there was nothing they could do here, you can tell in his voice how much compassion and care they showed them, which is vitally important when a tragedy like this happens.
  18. I'll just never be able to understand how they can tell all that from so far away. Temperature readings, UV light. How can they tell its coming from there? How can they see anything at all in that picture? Baffles my mind.
  19. See my last post. I love it so much when people annoying and with certainty try to tell people they are wrong on something and they are the ones who are, in fact, wrong. It makes my day. The rule book clearly says make contact for this situation. Go back to recess, son.
  20. The definition requires contact if you look at the rule book. Specifically it says " Cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball; " Section 5, Article 2, Part e. It would be a very broad interpretation of the rules to extend that beyond what is specifically stated for this situation as you would have to think they added "making contact" in there deliberately as opposed to "significantly hinders" which is used elsewhere. When you interpret legal documents, which a rule book basically is, that is how you do it, with intent in mind and here you have to assume they did what they did on purpose.
  21. This game is more important than yesterday. Always was. While on the rise, we still are not one of the top tier teams. Beating a team we very well may be battling for a playoff spot is much more important than beating the Pats who are probably going to win the division anyway this season. And get in the playoffs with this D and you never know what can happen.
  22. Uhhh, you can't have pass interference without touching the guy. It's pretty simple. As others stated, he should have ran into him. He didn't. So no PI. End of story, unfortunately.
  23. Maybe because he doesn't do anything but take up space. Can't catch consistently. Doesn't even attempt to go for contested balls. Doesn't even attempt to tackle a defender who picks off a pass. A better question may be what has he ever done to help this team in his entire career? Absolutely nothing. He hurts us more than he helps. And it's not even close. You simply cannot be a WR in this league and not be able to catch the ball.
  24. Guy has a bad game against the best defense in football...or at least top 3 with us and the Bears. Yeah, lets bring out the pitchforks. Brilliant.
  25. What a joke this statement is. Morphing into Tyrod Taylor...yeah, ok buddy.
