  1. I have a feeling that Mario wouldn't come here even if we paid him $30M, forget about what we're actually going to offer him.
  2. Yeah, lets worry about paying a 25 year old two time 1,000 yard receiver who's played on crap teams for both of those years as the only viable receiving threat. Oh, and he is an inhouse developed 7th round draft pick that has stated that he wants to stay in Buffalo. It's quite simple, good franchises don't let players like this go. I don't really care about a couple celebration penalties or 2 dropped passes (only one of which would have clearly been a touchdown). OR, we can go out and overpay a crappy FA who only comes here because no one else wants him and doesn't really want to be a Bill and hasn't really produced before or is at the tail end of their career. Anyone who really thinks we are going to get someone on the same level as Mario Williams to come here is out of their mind (when all we do is let players like Stevie leave all the time). Get it done.
  3. You obviously didn't watch the AFC Championship game, huh?
  4. Only b/c defensive players weren't used to a WR knocking them off their feet away from the play. What they call dirty I call hard nosed football. Dude could block, plain and simple. I think he's too old now but a lot of WRs could learn a ton from this guy on how to play football beyond making catches. He'd be a great WR coach some day.
  5. Don't you know that Sheppard has "A" potential in Madden?
  6. Let's not get crazy. Playoffs next year, SB in two!
  7. Luck and RGIII will certainly be gone. Tann, who knows, but I don't think he's better than Fitzy. Fitz proved early in the season that he's quality. Rumors of broken ribs out there, tons of injuries at WR, OL, and especially on D after that strong start. I'd rather shore up the depth on the D front 7 and see what we really have before giving up on a guy that beat the Pats, Raiders, Bengals, Chiefs, and should have beat the SB champs NYG.
  8. You have to wake up man. I went to a private university with a lot of well off kids and I can honestly say that cocaine was used by more students than pot (although not as frequent). Still very prevalent.
  9. Can't speak for where they are now or how they are now, but I grew up down the street from them and they were all great kids. I'm not sure if they live in that house anymore or not but they did until at least the mid 2000s. The oldest son, Gordy, was our paperboy for years and the younger brothers would always help out. I won't root for the Pats, but I'll root for him.
  10. He had 9.5 sacks and the second most takles for loss in the country. How can you say that he can't rush the passer?
  11. It will be said that he died of lung cancer, but it's more likely that he died of a broken heart from what happened to his program that he always took so much pride in being top class. RIP.
  12. Upshaw could play 4/3 DE or 3/4 OLB. Made it a point to watch him all Championship game and he was all over the field, from sideline to sideline making plays. He was in a 3 pt stance on the line pretty much the whole game too.
  13. Don't you mean that Terry Pegula really needs to get in there and redo that franchise?
  14. Schoop and the Bulldog are the worst sports talk radio hosts that I have ever heard. I listen to sports talk radio quite often and have lived in numerous cities with different national/local hosts and they are by far the worst. I can't beleive they keep their jobs. Whenever I'm home and turn them on they are mostly talking about non-sports issues. Once it was a comedy movie draft, then it was something about christmas movies. I had to turn it off. I'm sorry but in the middle of the football and hockey season you should be talking about football and hockey (among the other sports) on a sports radio show. I'm not even going to get into how rude and condescending they are to pretty much all the callers. Simon in the morning is not bad, but the afternoon show needs to change. The SVP national show isn't bad at all, but not a lot of hockey talk.
  15. No way. This is an NFL team from NYC not a struggling MLB or NHL team. No way would they give up partial ownership (especially for a 36 year old after missing an entire season with neck issues).
  16. Everyone knows that the NFL has turned into a pass happy, high scoring league. With that being said, it would make sense that most teams are building defenses to stop this type of offense, right? That is, defenses built on speed and pass rushing. As a smaller market team with potential weather issues at the end of the season, would it make sense to build our team differently? What if we tried to model a team off of the early 2000s Bucs and Ravens? Try to build the nastiest defense in the league and then have a ball control running offense. Low turnovers, low mistakes, clock control, field position. If other teams in the league are trying to stop high scoring passing offenses they should be vulnerable to this type of offensive philosophy. Fitz would certainly be a serviceable QB here. We would really only need to beef up the O-Line some and we could really use a lot of our current team (offense) to do it. Go all D in the draft for the next couple years and maybe a couple/few FA acquisitions. Wouldn't this be our best shot at really competing (at least until we find that top 5 in the league franchise QB type)?
  17. Those guys you mention are the only S.B winning QBs since 2003. I'd say that's the most important part of a SB winning team, wouldn't you? Fitz is not one of these guys. He may get us to the playoffs, sure, but SB championship? I don't think so. Draft a QB and keep doing it until you find the right one.
  18. Went to H.S. with his son Wes. Wade was always at the football and basketball games as Wes was our QB and a F. He was a class act around the fans every time, not to mention we we're actually pretty good with him coaching us. To a speedy recovery.
  19. Also, both Newton and Russel have big arms and are huge. He wasn't compared to Timmy because he is seen as having weak arm strength and motion.
  20. Man, it's sad that once again in the middle of December I'm looking forward to April. Ugh.
  21. Blah, blah, blah. The Bills had 2 turnovers in the N.E. game and 1 turnover in the Philly game. Good teams don't make as many mistakes as bad teams and good teams cause turnovers through pressure, confusion, schemes, will powers, and play making ability.
  22. I love the comment the "Eagles just gave them the game." I guess it was a given that they were going to march down the field in one minute with no timeouts from at best the 20 yard line and score a touchdown (that would have only sent the game to O.T.). There was still a long way to go even if they didn't jump the snap. Everyone (media) seems to say that play cost the Eagles the game. Crazy.
  23. The guys also picked KC in week #1, Oakland in week #2, and N.E. in week #3. Who cares.
