As it so often does. Pats final drive, only needing a field goal to take the lead. Given that making a field goal from 50-60 yards is routine these days, your D has to defend first down markers, NOT the end zone. But the soft, prevent zones allow Pats to methodically move the ball downfield, chewing up all the time. On the play where Maye was almost sacked, with Jones draped all over him, Diggs is wide open for a short pass, as our linebacker has to come up from his deep position to make the tackle. That’s terrible defensive strategy. Man up, take the short stuff away, blitz , whatever but u need to prevent first downs - not touchdowns. If a long TD happens, so be it, Allen gets back on the field with time to operate. KC faced similar situation in our playoff game last year. Our final drive - they threw the kitchen sink at Allen, knowing that if a long scoring play happens, at least Mahomes has a chance to comeback. But the slow death of dropping D back, bend don’t break, results in the slow death of a methodical drive that chews up all the clock. God awful strategy.
As was the incredible decision to have Samuel field & return the final kickoff, with just 15 seconds left. Let the ball go into end zone, take it at the 20, and let Allen take 2 or 3 shots downfield. Long shot I know, but far better than a kickoff return that leaves virtually no time to do anything. It’s this consistent mismanagement of game strategy which will once again haunt this team in the playoffs
Since 2017 exactly 1 team has more wins than the Bills, that is the Chiefs. That includes a season when Tyrod Taylor was the starting QB and a season when Josh Allen threw more INTs than TDs. But I'm sure YOU know more about winning strategy than Sean McDermott does. Thanks for your wisdom. The team would be lost without you.

Over 30 points in 4 out of 5 games and people just whine and complain. My lord. We had a bad game. 3 turnovers was the problem. Countless penalties was the problem. "Everybody eats" was not the problem. There is a reason why there has only been 1 team to go undefeated for an entire season in the history of the league.

You think you are proving a point but there is no point here.
Of course a WR cannot shine without a competent QB. Who was even arguing that point?
Only you.
OK, bud. I guess I miss-read when you said the lack of elite talent on the Bills would make them a 9-8 or 8-9 team when Josh plays "pedestrian" football. The point is, that is the exact same thing with the Bengals, the Ravens, the Chiefs and whoever else regardless of their "elite" talent around their QBs. The elite QBs don't play elite and every team is mediocre. Not too hard to connect the dots, son. But continue on with your diatribes against that "soulless ginger", you do you.

Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Travis Kelce, Derrick Henry I mean do I need to go on here or ???? this list good enough????
It's tough to get into this season guys. We're the same team, we're gonna get in the playoffs, josh allen is good enough to hide every problem of this staff and roster to make the playoffs year after year but lets face it the writing is on the wall already this is not a superbowl squad: We struggle against NO and Miami lets face it, and NE clipped us these aren't the leagues best teams... not even close frankly.
It's just a shame what we allow this team to continue to do to Josh Allens career. Other posters are like "TO ALL YOU MCDERMOTT HATERS OUT THERE WHO WOULD BE YOUR PICK?!" -- Literally a guy off the freaking street at this point. Almost ANYBODY but the same damn thing being trotted out there season after season would be more entertaining to watch. This team "McDermotts team" has already been proven time and time again to not be good enough yet we keep repeating it.
We actually let this soulless ginger turn our High Powered Passing attack which features the best Quarterback in the world into a run-first squeeze-it-out conservative whatever show this is. We celebrate how conservative we are like "the bills haven't turned it over in 24 seasons!" uh thats not a great stat yall that means we aren't taking chances at ALL.
I could rant for hours but I think some of you would still be slobbering for mcdermott for whatever reason. Just take me out back and bash my brains in because I already know how this season ends.Cool, what is the Bengals record when Burrows gets hurt or has a bad game? How are the Ravens looking when Lamar gets hurt or has a bad game? Yeah, OK, thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Exactly 1 player on the Bills is elite, and when he plays pedestrian football, the bills look like a 8-9/9-8 team.
So, the exact same as any other team with an elite QB then? Got it.

No fan base in the league whines and complains about being 4-0 more than the Bills fan base.

McDermott continues to have the same issues over and over and over again. Incapable of building and having a championship D despite most of our resources year after year being poured into the D
How can a supposed defensive mastermind go through coordinators faster than grandma changes her wet underwear and yet still continues to yield poor results?
We still can’t tackle or stop the run every single season . We can’t stop 3rd and long .
The D simply isn’t good enough and that falls on McDermott.
For having a supposed defensive HC why don’t we get any benefits on the defensive side of the ball?
And don’t get me started on the timeouts and challenges .
Make it make sense for me
If it wasn’t for Josh Allen bailing him out every single week there would be a much stronger drum beat to fire McDermott. Josh saves Mcdermotts butt constantly
Less than 300 yards allowed the last 3 games. Lol. 10, 21, 19 points allowed the last 3 games. I mean, you could post this crap after the Ravens game, sure, but now is not the time. We are the only undefeated team in the conference. 2 games clear of the Chiefs and 4 games clear of the Ravens. How people can be complaining at this time is beyond me. The Chargers just lost to the Giants, the GIANTS, without Nabors, and they are supposed to be a contender as well. Fire Harbaugh I guess, he hasn't won a SuperBowl.

We are down 1 starting DT and a starting LB that has barely played the last two years. But lets not focus on that. It sounds like from your view we can go ahead and check the playoff ready box?
Yes. We will be fine. The fact of the matter is the Ravens, Chiefs, maybe the Chargers, those games are going to be coin flip games. Same with the SB if we get there. Just need one key turnover or a couple key stops and you win. Its really not more complicated than that. Even vs the Chiefs last year, with how bad it seemed, Josh still had a chance to win it at the end, Kincaid dropped a ball he could have caught. I'll take my chances with Josh in that situation any day.

This is dumb. The Jets had 154 yards. The Dolphins had 276 yards. They had 10 and 21 points respectively. The defense came up with big stops and a turnover at the end of the Ravens game to allow the comeback. We are down 2 starting DTs, a starting CB, a starting LB. This is dumb.

This is NOT a championship-calibre defense.
The same issues and concerns are still gaping holes on a defense that “Big Baller” Beane and his "defensive mastermind” head coach have spent many offseasons addressing.
This team has a “Trent Edwards is our QB” philosophy and I don’t know how much longer fans are going to put up with it. Beating the 0-2 Dolphins who were on the verge of mailing in the rest of the season should not be the standard of excellence around here. It needs to be “Super Bowl appearance or GTFO”.
Please. They gave up a whopping 276 yards and 21 points. Give me a break. Without Oliver, without Milano, without Hairston, without Hoecht, without Ogunjobi. Your take sucks.

Saban and Levy had more success than McDermott. If winning counts (and it does) then Saban is #1. He coached B2B AFL championships in Bills history. The only coach to actually win something here.
Levy had how many hall of famers and didn't win a Superbowl? Got just as outcoached in each of those Superbowls as McD has vs the Chiefs .615 win rate compared to McD's .656. How, exactly, is that better? Not to mention no salary cap to deal with.
Saban won championships in a league that had a whopping 8 teams and was a second rate league compared to the NFL. Congrats, he beat 7 other minor league teams. Give me a break.

We get at least one of these threads every season.
He's the same guy he's always been and always will be. The Bills will have to win the super bowl in spite of him, not because of him.
The lack of respect from some fans for the best coach in our teams history is laughable.

Man we had it good with Micah and Poyer and didn’t probably realize it as much at the time .
Come on now. Hyde was 2 time second team all pro, Poyer was 1 time first team all pro. We all knew how good we had it.

I have always embraced it. I don't get the hate. The pitch clock is stupid too. One game without a clock AND they ruin it. Only in America!
4+ hours games were no good for anyone. Boring tv, too late at the ballpark. I used to time some pitchers who were taking seemingly forever in between pitches, it was literally over 60 seconds consistently between pitches. In an already low action sport, these guys were killing the game. 2-3 hour games are so much more enjoyable.

Yeah, because Jeremy White knows more about running a successful football team than Brandon Beane. Yeah, OK.

The premise that the Chiefs intentionally weakened a group that was already suspect solely because the Bills defensive line is so pathetic that they can't pressure Mahomes even with only 2 offensive linemen seemed mostly accurate to you and deserving of a dismissive response?
My god you are exhausting. No, the premise that the Bills line isn't going to get pressure either way regardless. Onto the ignored list. Bye.

Why wouldn't I? The premise is mostly accurate. They just have bigger fish to worry about.

I think the Chiefs understand that they could play only 2 offensive linemen and we still won't be able to dial up pressure.
I think it's cute that you believe the Chiefs are more concerned about beating the Bills then they are about the team that just destroyed them in the Super Bowl.

The 80s and 90s cards will never be worth anything except a few rare exceptions (Henderson rookie, Jordan rookie, Gretzky rookie Griffey Jr Upper Deck rookie, and other HoF rookies). And to be worth anything, you have to get them graded by one of the top 3 grading services (Beckett, PSA, and SGC). I threw mine away years ago except for my Rickey Henderson collection and a select few cards that I still thought were cool regardless of their value. I never looked back.
We are in junk era 2.0 as we speak now. So many parallels, so many 1/1s (Skenes must have like 200 1/1s it seems), so many inserts, so many variations, so many sets. People are spending a fortune on them the last few years and production numbers are so high. Unless its an auto or a very low numbered card, none of them are going to be worth anything again. Meanwhile, Topps is just raking in the cash. Personally, I just buy singles now instead of boxes/packs.

This is the most shocking trade in the history of the NBA imo. 25 year old mega star that didn’t want to be traded….
super max contract coming up- He’s always banged up (AD also similarly banged up) and getting fatter by the minute. Does Cuban think that contract will end up being a problem due to Luka being so injury prone?
The Mavs approached the lakers about this- Does cuban look at AD and think that he’s the missing piece that can win him a title along with Kyrie and the rest of the solid cast? Is it the new ownership group of mavs?
🤷🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️
what a debacle for Mavs fans. Lakers got handed another generational superstar to build another championship legacy with
Cuban doesn't own the Mavs anymore. Its the owners of Sands Casinos (Adelsons mostly). Cuban is only a minority owner. They are gutting the team in order to move them to Las Vegas a la John Fisher and the Oakland A's. The process - get rid of the most popular players, watch attendance plummet, "see, Mr. Silver, we have no support in Dallas, can we please move to Las Vegas", "sure rich Billionaire, who cares about your fans, do whatever you want to make more money." What a joke.
