  1. We are going to start dumpster diving the Giants now..
  2. America may be, but the networks are not. It could also be a Frisco game.. Big markets...
  3. My not so unbiased Super bowl thoughts 1. Copper Kupp was unbelievable. 2. Aaron Donald was unbelievable. 3. That desperation throw on Cincy's last play almost connected. If it had, it would have been the play of the superbowl. 4. Glad Cincy lost. Just am. 5. Jalen Ramsey gets beat twice on big plays. Me like it. 6. OBJ going down really hurt the Rams. 7. Imagine waking up in Detroit today knowing that Stafford won. Must really suck being a Lions fan. 8. The halftime show was NOT my cup of tea. My son on the other hand loved it. 9. When Rams changed their pass rush technique in the 3rd quarter, the game changed. Wonder if the "great" Spagnola looks at that and says why didn't we do that? 10. I bet Burrow is one sore football player this AM.
  4. I don't think QBs can be compared head to head because the rules changes that favored passing and protection have inflated the stats and performance of guys like Brees, Brady and Rodgers. If Kelly was protected like Brady was he could have played 5 more years too. You have to compare them by era. When Marino (in his second year) threw the 48 TD passes (5000 yards in 16 games) to Clayton and Duper (two decidedly undersized receivers) that was otherworldly considering the state of the game. Peyton, Tom, Drew and Aaron get to play a game designed to throw the ball. So who had a more impressive year: Marino or Rodgers.
  5. I went with sideways. The offense was up and down. The defense was better against the run, but gave up long TD runs. The team had extremes in their games for example @Jax, NE, @NE, Indy. Great offensive showing in the playoffs but they exited the playoffs earlier. And they lost their best defender to an ACL. They were truly a bipolar team.
  6. Once upon a time I did, now I don't. Knox is emerging and will get better and better.
  7. Olly Olly Oxen Free
  8. Ahh, Baltimore's scape goat
  9. Am I following this correctly? Alvin stayed out until 0630a on the night before and day of the Pro Bowl drinking and partying? He then went on to play the game later that day and was subsequently taken into custody (presumably in or near the locker room after the game).
  10. TMZ will eventually get it. They always seem to $$$find$$$ a way...
  11. That makes sense. Hadn't considered this was post scrubbing..
  12. Does this say he has two total posts and 1.3M people are following him? I really don't get people's obsessions with obsessions, aka following people on Twitter in the hopes that someone who apparently tweets as much as blue moons, will someday post his third tweet and you gotsa know..
  13. Someone probably argued with him that Taysom Hill is not a QB1 and they threw down.
  14. I’ll say this about Aaron. There’s not a QB playing that works as hard as he does to keep himself in the news. Every few weeks a new story emerges, in season or out, the talking heads talk, the message boards message and AR ultimately stays in GB playing in the weakest division in football. Standby, the Seattle swap rumors are next. Russ for Aaron.
  15. There are lots of tentacles in this story. Sham interviews, toothless Rooney rule, fixing games and the Belichick angle... The fact that Belichick new is fascinating. Can you imagine the deposition? He's going to frustrate the heck out of opposing counsel. Wouldn't it be interesting to find out that BB new what he was doing and deliberately threw a grenade into this..... At this juncture, nothing would surprise me.. The slow leak of information over the next weeks and months will be interesting to watch...
  16. My money is on Ross. If there is any fire to Flores's smoke about being offered to be paid to deliberately throw games, that will force the NFL to take action. The integrity of the game is on the line.
  17. The JA17 interview that Kieth Mitchell was forced to show up to. This is a classic example of the new aura of JA17. He is officially a mega-star now. Someone must have prompted the press corps to ask Kieth a question every now and then. 🙂
  18. Clearly punting and squib kicks.
  19. How'd I get rolled up in this Flores thing?
  20. I wonder if the same fate awaited the Bills and us fans against the Bengals. That game took a lot out of both teams physically and emotionally. I think their team and fan base and our team and fan base looked at the Bengals the same way. They looked past them and we were looking past them. After all, everyone believed the winner of that game had an automatic ticket punch to the playoffs.
  21. This analysis resonates with me. They were mollywopping the Bengals in the first half. And then they did the inexcusable. The kind of play that would have nailed any other QB not named Brady, Mahomes or Rodgers to a cross. It was a mistake made out of supreme confidence or arrogance. You decide. Andy Reid in a decision that he will rue for many a moon, let Mahomes talk him out of the common sense approach. At the time, it was hard to blame the decision, but the execution was abysmal. And it energized the Bengals. Romo began the game by ballyhooing the KC dink and dunk approach. It was on display and working, drive after drive after drive. The Chiefs, as they were want to do most of the season, let up in the second half. And when the Bengals tightened up the game, Mahomes reverted. And it was both ugly and awesome at the same time. He got inpatient and tried to make those crazy plays, except they were not there. And he tried harder. And they were not there. And when the day was done, all Chiefs fans, all Chiefs players, all Chiefs coaches and all Chiefs apologists woke up feeling like Buffalo did on Monday morning. A game in hand was literally ripped away by poor defense and coaching. The only thing that separates the two events is that Patty gift wrapped it for the Bengals.
  22. I know a lot of folks want to highlight the DLINE, but if you replay the final set of downs in that game, Matt Milano was the victim. He couldn't keep up with Kelce. Now having said that, Cincy did a phenomenal job of contain. And they clearly watched the Bills game and learned from it. They were at times rushing just three DLINE and dropping everyone else in coverage at key downs in the game.
  23. That’s the play that will HAUNT their offseason.
  24. Bahahaha. That is all.
