  1. This comes as no surprise. Watson will be cheered at home and booed on the road. At least for a few seasons before some other cause celebre replaces him.
  2. Yeah he made a lot of splash play interceptions, but he was also burned and when he was burned, it was a full on charring...
  3. Browns vs Panthers in Week 1 just got a whole lot more interesting..
  4. So how bad to do want out of the mistake by the lake? Baker: I'll take a 20% pay cut.. I don't need that 3.5M this year.
  5. Buyer beware. The 300's in the upper deck corners are full of opposing fans. Views are good, company, not so much. Unless of course the Bills are curb stomping the opponent. I watched that Eagles debacle from there a few years back and it was a miserable game on the field, miserable weather (wind was howling so loud you could not hear in stadium game play calling) and miserable Eagles fans who were chanting E-A-G-L-E-S all damn game..
  6. I love the schedule this year. Almost all of the games are compelling. Even the AFC East games. This is the best slate of games since the K-gun era. There won't be any questions of "yea but who did they play"?
  7. That should lock in the CTE for both of them.
  8. First reaction is there isn’t going to be as much wind by flipping the field 90-ish degrees. What wind there may be will now be cross wind.
  9. So final briefs not due until the week of 11 July. So this isn’t being settled for a few weeks still.
  10. Knowing how Buzbee has incrementally released info, he is waiting until today/tomorrow to drop the purported 25th case. That keeps the pressure on Sue Robinson to avoid leniency.. Hopefully she has July vacation plans and will rule tomorrow so we can get on to the next stage of this soap opera.
  11. my speculation was he was still rehabbing the ankle/foot and didn’t want to be seen less than 100%. He literally was no where to be seen for months.
  12. The hue and cry of any decision is going to be epic. Can only imagine the cringe level of both attorney's arguing the merits of towel size before a female jurist...
  13. Unless the Texans were arranging and paying for his dates, I'm not sure giving him keys to the bachelor pad is enough. Should be interesting to hear the deets on this one. Deshaun Watson, the gift that keeps on giving.
  14. I could not imagine what it feels like to be a Browns fan. The chaos this decision has brought to the organization is really unchartered territory. I know its easy to sit here as a third party and say, if it was my team I would, .... Gawd what a fiasco to unleash on your fans. And then for the NFL too... One guy and his proclivities is just roiling the league..
  15. Good: 77 Seconds against Denver Bad Superbowl XXV... Otis Freakin Anderson Ugly Randy and Tommy
  16. My sense is two things. Hot bus first time. And appointment second time.
  17. Certainly all three are likely candidates. Ford has to be on his last chance. Moss is next likely. The churn in the RB room says they're not content. Epenesa least likely although there are a ton of DL competing for those spots. All have a chance to impress in July and save their spots. All have a chance to be August cuts/trades.
  18. duck, duck goose
  19. i have never watched a single play from the four lost super bowls. I won’t until they win one. They’re all indelibly stamped in my brain. To this day I still say Otis Freaking Anderson!
  20. Pretty low key appearance.
  21. This was outstanding. If you like a player's raw, unfiltered talk, take the time to watch this AFTER they get finished talking about their kids. As much as this board demeans Lewan, he comes across as a regular dude. Woods and Lewan talking O-line is great banter. And Woods discussing his broken leg and Lewan reacting to it.. Anywho... If you got the time, it just may, may, change your opinion on Lewan. Woods talking about his broken leg ... "did the Joe Theisman"
  22. It's also good for recruiting future players.. Never know how the TE market is going to change...
  23. The big Ragu is no more.
  24. When all is said and done from this sordid affair, only Buzbee will have won. And he will have won big.
  25. I believe the statements are genuine. We sometimes forget that players are more connected than ever off the field. They game together, they practice together, they share agents, and they are networked through social media and cell phones. What we hear in the television and print media are the snippets packaged for general audiences and platitudes abound. What I suspect we don't hear is the back channel chatter amongst players. And this is where the team reputation is most important. Made up examples of what I imagine is player grapevine fodder: Did you hear what Urban did? Did you see the Buffalo weight room? Saleh is a tyrant in the film room, etc.. We grew up in Buffalo, so we are not unbiased. But there has to be something to it as players who come here, seem to love it here. And some stay after their careers are done.
