They practice 4 times a week and from I can tell, they are more likely to get hurt in preseason practice than preseason games. Hyde, Poyer, Brown, Crowder, Settle all have some form of ding from practice.

The game GMs play is pretty interesting. The Chargers have to know that this move puts intense pressure on Beane. So they pay their guy and put another GM in a bind..

After watching game, reading TBD and thinking about it, here are my new takeaways Was hoping to see more from Cook. So much post draft hype. Didn’t really stand out in game behind patchwork OLine. Never really paid attention to Benford and Spector before yesterday’s game. In fact I was mixing up Bernard and Benford. I think Tim Settle is going to be the real deal. A better assessment might have been possible if JT was in the backfield. Crowder should have been given more looks. One bad pass can’t be the final assessment on him. Tenuda was the most visible OLinemen yesterday. Also surprised Ford was only in for a handful of plays. Basham looks faster and stronger. Ryans lack of mobility is going to be a problem for the Colts. You know exactly where that statue will be. I need to see how our new punter looks in the wind before I’m ready to anoint him. He certainly didn’t hurt his chances yesterday.

I’m willing to hold judgment. Although I was having a Jacksonville deny vu moment watching the game unfold while he was in there. If it could go wrong, it was. Watching the Colts jailbreaking our patchwork OLine certainly was not comforting.

That Watson contract will haunt the Browns and every NFL team for years to come. It also means there is little wiggle room on the Browns to move money around. Pat and Josh can get money moved to free up salary for must sign team mates. How does Cleveland do it now that all Watson money is fully guaranteed? Can Cleveland pay him say 45 of 50m in a year and then pay him 55 instead of 50 in the next year?

I've got tickets to the AFC North games this year. @Bal, Steelers, Browns and @Cincy (MNF). Also throwing in Jets since I will be in Buffalo that week. @Bal will be a tough game. Ravens look healthy so far this year. Should get their LT, Secondary and RBs back. I think their DL is also fully healthy this year. QB1 bulked up over the off season. Questions remain at Center (Tyler Linderbaum) and of course WR. My guess for the AFC North is: Bal Cincy Cle Pit

Follow my rule about Baltimore, especially at night. If you’re out and about, do not drive down any street that DOES NOT have cars PARKED on it. There is nothing but trouble on those streets as the homes are all abandoned to the wild. Go around. We go into the city a lot. Just be smart about it and watch your environment. Also watch for folks just darting into the street to cross. It happens a lot. Especially in neighborhoods off the Inner Harbor. Enjoy.
