  1. Let Russ Cook takes on new meaning.
  2. Here's a wild thought. Did the Jets false flag Miami into spending too much? I was listening to Rich Eisen today talk about how the Jets might not have been ready for Hill. My take: But their very presence with their two high draft picks forced Miami to bid higher than they wanted. I found it curious that the Jets did not throw in a one when they had the luxury of doing so. I know, I know the silly draft pick equivalency chart says the Phins with their late pick and the Jets with their two 2s were "equivalent" value. To me, if the Jets were serious about getting him, they would have parlayed one of their ones. But the fact that they had two might have forced Miami to pay more in draft picks.
  3. I’m in the “it was a brilliant move by KC”. I believe Mahommes can ability-up those that play with him. KC can now shore up the defense with those picks at a better price point. If Kelce was the one to bolt, I think KC would have been diminished. They can and will replace Hill. Miami entered the conversation with this move. I think guys like Waddle, Wilson and Hill can make him a better QB. Mostert in the backfield was a big add too. Bills v Miami games are going to be much more competitive now. Should be fun.
  4. Impossible... For the first time in many off seasons we have officially entered the "who the hell knows" phase. Teams that got definitely better: Raiders, Browns, Broncos, Chargers, Bills, Dolphins Teams that got somewhat better: Bengals, Colts, Titans, Jaguars Teams that got somewhat worse: Patriots, Chiefs, Texans, Pittsburgh Teams that have no free agency pulse: Jets, Baltimore Now how it all shakes out, who the hell knows...
  5. Amazing how fast he cranks these out
  6. Sure on paper. Disagree. They had early 1s. If you wanted him, you could have got them by throwing in the one or two of the ones.
  7. Seems like the Jets were not really all in..
  8. Waddle was becoming a problem at the end of last season. Didn't he set the rookie receiving record for passes caught? Now add into Hill with Devante Parker, and Mike Gesecki and these guys will be a problem.
  9. One really crazy offseason. The NFL collective have lost their collective minds. Exhibit 1: 230M fully guaranteed contract Exhibit 2: 40M dead cap hit (largest ever) for a traded QB Exhibit 3: Paying a receiver QB money These changes are remaking contracting and contracts in the NFL.
  10. And somewhere in NYC, Nick Wright has just gone apoplectic 😀 Can't wait for First Things First tomorrow..
  11. The team that makes the most sense to me is, wait for it, wait for it, New England. They desperately need a WR of his caliber.
  12. Waddle, Hill and Gisecki would make for a formidable receiver group.
  13. YES!!!!!!!!!!! You better not be playing me...
  14. I echo what many others have said here, the only Jet I had an irrational fear of was Crowder. He was the one guy that stood out on their teams. Considering Beane was scratching up change from the couch cushions, this is an A+ signing. Mega-potential here.
  15. I saw Josh answer this question about his speed. Apparently he runs faster than what he was clocked at the combine. When asked why, he said, and I paraphrase, "because I have guys chasing me..."
  16. I'm just glad he's not in NE. Seems like the typical NE back that Buffalo struggled with over the years.
  17. I had not heard the underlined. If true, that certainly adds to the drama.
  18. in a tub with the butcher and candlestick maker of course.
  19. Yep my read is he sees one year of catching say 60-70 passes from Josh on the big stage under the national lights as a great career move.
  20. The offseason to beat all offseasons.
  21. I thought about this for exactly 13 seconds..
  22. Tannehill vs Ryan vs Lawrence vs Mills ... Definitely gives the Colts decent odds to compete for the Division title now..
  23. Can they afford Watson (44,965,000: signing bonus + 1,000,000 dirty salary), Mayfield (19,000,000 year 5) and Brissett (5,000,000) = $69M? Intriguing idea though. So Baker, how about you chill for six or so games and then we'll ship you out to say, Detroit, for a few firsts? You good with that?
  24. Welp Rosen was the starter for a few hours..
  25. My guess is they're in desperate need of first round picks.. Seems like they're down a few for the next few years.
