Man that’s brutal. Sorry Jets fans. Your LT and QB1 in the same week. Hope it wasn’t an ACL. Good luck.

I've got tickets to the AFC North games this year. @Bal, Steelers, Browns and @Cincy (MNF). Also throwing in Jets since I will be in Buffalo that week. @Bal will be a tough game. Ravens look healthy so far this year. Should get their LT, Secondary and RBs back. I think their DL is also fully healthy this year. QB1 bulked up over the off season. Questions remain at Center (Tyler Linderbaum) and of course WR. My guess for the AFC North is: Bal Cincy Cle Pit

Follow my rule about Baltimore, especially at night. If you’re out and about, do not drive down any street that DOES NOT have cars PARKED on it. There is nothing but trouble on those streets as the homes are all abandoned to the wild. Go around. We go into the city a lot. Just be smart about it and watch your environment. Also watch for folks just darting into the street to cross. It happens a lot. Especially in neighborhoods off the Inner Harbor. Enjoy.

It was a tough choice but AB announces his biggest regret…
wjag replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Something tells me that we have not heard the last from AB. Headline mongers need to headline. He'll do something to get his name in print. -
I fully expect this to be a never ending topic until Rams week starts.

Tom Brady Away From Bucs to "Deal With Some Personal Things"
wjag replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
Listening to various reports it sounds open ended too. I've seen various reports that say "at least 10 days". Crazy to think anyone can walk out of preseason (not in a contract dispute), let alone QB1. Also consider you have a new head coach. Imagine how that is riling his plans and learning curve. -

Crazy how many Buffalo Bills go on that show. Seems like more than any other team... -

um coach.. I got this thing.. See ya in a couple of weeks... -
Missing from two+ weeks of camp is any progress discussions on Cook, Singletary and Moss. The RB coverage is nearly nonexistent.

Is Mahomes-Allen the new Brady-Manning? (The Ringer podcast episode)
wjag replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. And Josh Allen, the other guy, had the rare triple: a sack, fumble recovery and interception. And the final insult as I recall was Gabe dropping a pass that would have put them in Bass-o-matic range. -

Teams that gave the Bills fits last year all had a good to great pass rush. Including Jacksonville where Allen v Allen went to Allen. Let's hope Kromer improves both the run blocking and pass blocking. I don't care how good you are, if your OLINE is a sieve, it ain't happening. -
Is Mahomes-Allen the new Brady-Manning? (The Ringer podcast episode)
wjag replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Understand but the hidden criteria is you both have to win your division in your conference to play each other a lot to form the rivalry. I thought about Brady-Big Ben, but it never rose to the level that Brady-Manning did. Brady-Ben certainly had big games, but it still was second tier to Brady-Manning. Brees and Rodgers never did either, for whatever reason. Ryan doesn't belong on the list as Atlanta largely underperformed for his talent level. Rivers-Manning and Rivers-Brady never rose to that level either. Cross conference match ups don't happen enough to generate true rivalries. I googled this answer: "Despite playing a combined 37 seasons of pro football, including a combined 31 postseason appearances, Rodgers and Brady have faced each other only three times as starting quarterbacks." Pretty amazing. and then this: "Manning and Brady faced off 17 times in this great rivalry that dates back to 2001. The last meeting occurred on Jan. 24, 2016 in the AFC Championship Game which resulted in a 20-18 win for Manning and the Broncos en route to a Super Bowl 50 victory." and then this "Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints have played against each other as starters three times. The Packers won two of those three games, with both of those contests being played at Lambeau Field." -

My guess is no. During the Brady-Manning era, there were not that many elite QBs. The AFC is awash in very good-great QBs. Any combo of the following could emerge ... Allen Mahomes Watson Herbert Jackson Carr Burrows .. as they are all young, just getting going now and QBs can play into their 40s. -
Mahomes too. If he chose to play that way. He could have a lot more rushing TDs if he wanted them.

The transitive property. The great Von gets to work with the great Donald. What he learns he can pass on to Oliver. So in effect Oliver benefits from what Von learned by working with Donald.

To quote Wimpy: "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today". No respected agent would sign up for this. Contracts are there for a reason.

NFL - Pete Carroll retired after season. Heard muttering something about Locke. - AFC West does not get 3 playoff spots after cannibalizes themselves - Jax aka Clowntown sneaks into the playoffs - King Henry gets 2k yards and doesn’t make playoffs. BUFFALO - Crowder gets 1k from the slot - Tre starts season on PuP - Lawson is cut and signed to practice squad - Bills DL ends season north of 50 sacks.
