  1. I simply don't think it's fair to compare QBs from Kelly's era to QBs in the modern era. If Marino, Elway, Kelly, Favre, Young and Montana didn't take head hunting hits that they did, they could have played much longer.. How many times did Kelly get knocked out of a game? If Allen was exposed to those type of hits, he would be on IR some of the last few seasons shortening his career and numbers. Imagine if KC's Jones was allowed to hit Allen the way Bruce hit QBs... Or imagine if Mahomes was crushed by MIcah Parsons the way Reggie White used to hit Simms. Same thing for the receivers who used to get head hunted by LBs and safeties.
  2. All valid points. Would sure make CeeDee even more dangerous. However, Dallas has lost out on big name free agents. Something is up there. Could it be how they handle Amari Cooper? That still is a head scratcher/
  3. Worth your time, I promise..
  4. Didn't Saffold come out today and say he would do what it takes to remain in Buffalo next year?
  5. Gotta love OBJ's process. Take a week of wining and dining by NFL frachises as they roll out the good steaks and sushi. Then put an outrageous amount of money on the ask line. When all is said and done, he maybe, and I do mean maybe, gets into 3 games before the playoffs. Two more likely. All the while no one knows if he can even run or is in game shape. OBJ doing his utmost to remind folks that there is not a bigger diva position in all of sports than WR. Hey look at me..
  6. Falsely accused.. Fradulantly fined (I presume)
  7. I just checked the NORAD site. He is not in the air yet.
  8. So I very clearly remember that play. I also thought it was a penalty. Prime was very poor sideline reporting last night.. And their replays were very selectively shown. Punter gets crushed on a play, no replay. There were two punts that Buffalo came close to blocking. No replay.. I saw a replay today of the Josh Allen forward flip to Hines that went for 20. They superimposed a red line of scrimmage. From the quick look I saw, it appeared that it was over the LOS. Anyone catch that?
  9. Thought it was a hammy seeing it live...
  10. Anyone have a link to the Pats post game show? I'd be curious to listen to their take on things.
  11. All I know is I used to hold my breath on every punt. Now I don't worry no more.
  12. The great thing about being a Boston fan is one of your teams (Celts, Sox, Bruins or Patriots) is always in the hunt for a trophy. So if the Celts say are down, the Bruins or Patriots or Sox are there. As a life long Bills/Sabres fans, I have nothing but envy for the Boston fans. And of course Ullmark on your team is looking great.. grrrrrr
  13. Yeah that could have swung some momentum. I think the game was over when the Bills drove 94 yards, bled the bulk of the 3rd quarter clock and scored a TD to go up by 17.
  14. Funny you said that. I was thinking how "dry" Kirk is. I think it's just his monotone voice. He never seems to get too excited like a Nance does. Think about that call Nance had in KC. "HE"S GOT DAVIS!!!!" or even Collingsworth where he amps it up. Kirk tries, but it just doesn't come across like he is excited to be there and lucky to be calling a game.
  15. Morning After Pill: 1. I actually slept last night after a evening Bills game. That more than anything is a testament to how calm I was throughout. And that is a direct correlary on how that game really never felt threatened. 2. Oliver and Phillips were constantly crashing the middle. 3. I didn't even know Dane Jackson was playing until late in the game. 4. That game had to shatter Mac Jone's confidence. 5. First game in four where the Bills secondary wasn't a dumpster fire. 6. The wonders of a full week of practice. 7. Stevens is a beast. Had a lot of Marshawn in him the way he was moving the pile. 8. Guys stepped up in Von's absence 9. Big plays in the game: Holding on DIggs TD, Folk crossbar doink on a kick that look great from the moment it left his foot, Poyer dropped INT, Uche strip sacking Allen and Allen's TD throw to Davis 10. Phillips SHOULD NOT chase QBs down. He should be limited to a QB tackle box. His value is quick bursts up the middle. When he starts hunting QBs he seems like he gets hurt. Love the man's hustle, but a man's got to know his limitations.
  16. Best part of this is the team is off. So the fellas can put on the full wine and dine experience. If this was a normal week, they would be time limited by practice and meetings..
  17. The AfterGlow: 1. Von who? I kid. 2. That drive of 94 yards won the game for Buffalo 3. There was evidence of a run game tonight. 4. Shame that TD bomb to Diggs was called back. 5. Two more significant injuries. I think. Knox and maybe Phillips. 6. Cook’s game is coming around. 7. Dink and Dunk won the night. 8. I’m in the Hamlin was wrongly accused camp. 9. A rushing TD. Yeah. 10. 3-0 in Foxboro and 3-0 on Thursday night.
  18. Did Phillips pull his hammy again? what about Knox?
  19. Welp. I was dead wrong.
  20. He has slid on 6 of 81 rushes for a staggering 7% of the time..
  21. buzz kill... but I think we all knew deep down in ....
  22. Patiently waiting for this one. Someone please cover Jacoby Myers tonight. The Bills D has made WR heros the last three weeks. It's time to put an end to that trend.
  23. I can't see them doing that. He isn't in game shape or game speed yet. It would be different if he was pulled off a practice squad rather than his sofa. It's probably Gentry again, IMO.
  24. Given the slate of injuries this year, I have completely given up on the notion that "when the defense gets healthy". The defense will never be healthy IMO. It's just the way of this season. Without sounding too fatalistic, it's Taron Johnson and Shaq Lawson's turn to miss games. Every week is someone new. Next man up or as this season has gone, next men down..
  25. The glaring red hole in the middle of the field is a where a Mr. Cole Beasley used to ply his craft.
