  1. The NFL got very lucky in picking Florida. With no income tax, Florida is highly dependent on tourism dollars to balance their state budgets. If this was in California for example, we might have been watching the first sterile bowl. But Florida wants tourists. Would not shock me to see that bowl filled with increasing capacity as we get closer to February.
  2. Who says he wants to be a HC? Maybe, just maybe, he likes being the Buffalo Bills OC. HC'ing comes with the glory, but a whole lot of misery too. Most NFL HC jobs end badly. Disrupt the family to live in a town you don't pick. See just about every Patriots OC/DC that has left the Belichicking Hive.
  3. I would gladly accept a comp'd ticket to this years Bubble Bowl.
  4. Damn that's brutal. First play without a QB and now play without a secondary with Allen, Herbert and Carr on the docket.
  5. Den -18 +/- look no deeper.. ooof
  6. Better be, because they are on National TV the next two weeks and who know about that last game if Miami finds themselves in a win and they're in position. And then Wild Card weekend. They could end up being one of the most nationally televised teams in the entire NFL. KC, TEN, SF, PIT, DEN, NE, MIA?, Wild Card weekend.
  7. Yep. They needed to lose last night. I don't want any part of them. That was one helluva of a game last night.
  8. I’m all in on Browns. Ravens can just go away.
  9. Interesting take. A few of those “drops” were Steelers getting their hands on the ball. Give the Steelers some credit here. Mire than not, Bills receivers are catching the balls thrown to them.
  10. The thing that stood out to me last night was Ben was on the four or five yard line and was zero threat to run, even with an open field. That might as well have been 10 yards, if he tried it, he would not have made it.
  11. Standing tall, standing fearless
  12. Dolphins are pretty banged up after yesterday. Hated to see that injury to Gesicki. That guy is a true gamer. Without all those injuries, I don't think NE wins. Now I am not so sure who wins that game. Playing field has been evened a bit.
  13. Curious question that doesn't require it's own thread. Twice yesterday, one of which was in the Bills game, two penalties one offense, one defense. 5 yard procedure penalty on offense, personal foul on defense. 5 yarder is "declined" and 15 yarder enforced. What year was this rule change put in? Surprised when it happened yesterday in the day games. Knew the result when it happened in Bills game. To me, "declining" the procedural penalty is dumb. If anything, it should still count. Instead of enforcing 15 yards, maybe subtract 5 and enforce 10 yards and a first down.
  14. He'll get that and some more. Brown is coming back. That's going to open up stuff for him.
  15. I know Ebron was making a whole lot of playing three times in 13 days. Well by my calculations @Den will be the third time in 13 days and I believe the second time it has happened to the Bills this season.
  16. I'm going with Feliciano. Start at guard, move to center, move to the other guard, whatever...
  17. I hear ya. Josh McDaniels is one of the few who bucks this trend. Daboll grew up a Bills fan. Would not completely shock me to see him stick around longer. Deep down in, he bleeds Buffalo. Might be uber exciting for him to see this franchise win.
  18. Contender forged in steel.. All these tough games are going to pay dividends.
  19. I have to admit it. I don't hate the reds. They do appear to attract snow though. 🙂
  20. Last night the torch was passed. The last of the old guard fell. The AFC now belongs to Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Carr, Tua, Burrows, Herbert, and Mayfield.
  21. Chris was fine last night. People hear what they want to hear. All I heard was JA this, JA that. All America heard was JA is good.
  22. My drive in this morning was epic. First random song on my Spotify playlist was I Can't Stop Loving You (SNF Theme Song). Cranked that way up. That was followed by Paint It Black by the Stones. And then, then Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith. Gawd I'm in a great mood today.
  23. Ahh Canada. America's attic. Love me Canada. Awesome country, awesome people and Bills country.
  24. My baker's dozen random game thoughts after a sleepless night: 1. It was the worst of times, it was the best of times. What a difference between the first half and second half for the offense. 2. Gabe Davis seemingly makes a big play every week. Nice TD grab. Almost got a big one on the sideline when Josh threw it under duress. 3. Taron Johnson had the play of the game. Going into halftime with a lead after struggling to move the ball was such an enormous turn of events. 4. Levi got beat badly on his TD. He guessed corner and Washington went post. So it was nice when Levi got that interception. Took us to see the replay why the Bills coming out of commercial were on the 20 and not the 50. Announcers never bothered to tell us he must have been ruled down by contact. 5. Second time this year I remember them imploding a bit on a drive at the goal line. First and goal and a TFL. Second and goal a penalty backing them up. The FG was all that was needed, but punching it in for a TD would have been necessary against a team like KC or GB. 6. Pittsburgh is a physical team. I figured we would lose players. So color me surprised that most of the attrition was on their side of the field last night. They now know what it feels like to play the Buffalo Bills. Taron Johnson getting concussed was really unfortunate for that kid. He was playing real good at the slot CB. 7. Defense, defense, defense. Could you imagine what it would have been like to be at that game? Sitting on your hands and watching the 3 and outs. Cheering on the defense and then watching 2 drives in the 3rd quarter (what I call the nightmare quarter) all the while stifling the Pittsburgh offense. 8. Running the ball that last drive while Roethlisberger could only wait, watch and hope was something rarely scene this year. Ah no, you ain't getting it back. 9. The 3rd and 11 completion to Knox. Whoa Baby.. So, so, so satisfying. 10. Williams neutralizing TJ Watt was my first star of the game. He quietly turned in his best game of the season tonight. Hope there was some recognition in the locker room for him afterwards. 11. I was so happy to see Diggs get a TD. He does a lot of the hard work and others get the glory. That was a motivated guy out there last night. 12. Bills had 36 total yards at the end of the first quarter. Shows you how dominate they were in the second half. 13. I think the NFL saw in the space of 6 days enough of the Bills to believe they are now in the conversation for a good post season team. And if that wasn't enough, Buffalo has two more prime time games. Open the tailgate to the Bills bandwagon. Lot's of folks will be jumping on now. With the NO and Pittsburgh losses, the top 4 in the NFL are now: KC, GB, Buf and NO.
