  1. If they went for it and didn't get it we would have had the exact same outcome as what we got. Losing by 7 or 21 is the same thing.
  2. They did not score a TD "right after" punting. They scored a TD about 3 minutes after punting which left them with little chance to win anyway. By punting on 4th and 2 they traded 2 timeouts and about 1:30 of time to end up with almost the exact same field position and they had ANOTHER 4th down play to make anyway. The defense did a great job getting the ball back to the offense, but it was not the right call.
  3. I don't understand the optimism talk if they finish 7-9. They said they would be a playoff team this year. Whaley used it as the reason why giving up a 1st rounder next year was ok. They are realistically not going to the playoffs and losing the last 4 (or really even 3 of 4) games of the season would not be an optimistic end to the season no matter who they are playing against in those games. Who will be held accountable?
  4. If Harbaugh is fired in San Francisco Pegula shouldn't hesitate to give him whatever he wants.

  6. Or an objective opinion.
  7. What is wrong with that tweet? Manziel is young and I'm personally not all the enamored with him, but he's probably a better prospect than Manuel at this point. Right now the Bills and Browns have the same record and it's pretty likely neither team will make the playoffs, but the Browns went most of the season without their number one receiver, and have two first round picks next year to improve themselves.
  8. Agreed. If people would rather just enjoy the win without any context or opinion around it then the highlights on NFL.com seem like a better way to do that than an opinion piece meant to add context to the game.
  9. Get rid of all the equipment.
  10. Mitch Albom is a ****ty writer, but he's partially right. I can't seem to work up any outrage though.
  11. They should just https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4SalDG__nY
  12. They could have called it anything they wanted and with the frame of mind everyone was in at the time it wouldn't have mattered. Also the Patriot Act was signed in October and the Patriots lost two days later, so.
  13. Or ya know...New York.
  14. With the Sabres the team made the playoffs in his first year, so he gave the GM and coach the benefit of the doubt and a blank check and told them to try to win the cup. They made some bold moves that didn't work out, the team got worse and he cut ties. Hindsight being 20/20 he should have done it sooner -- especially the GM in my opinion, but the Sabres are rebuilding the right way now. There are no guarantees they'll win a cup with the current people in charge but I don't think they'll hang on to them as long if it's clear it's not working.
  15. For the NFL to be "rigged" on the same level as the WWE the players would have to be in on it too.
  16. So to all the people who think the NFL is rigged, even just a little, why do you still watch the games? What's the point of picking a favorite team and cheering for them when you believe the the league is rigged against your team? What's the point in hoping that the league starts rigging games in your team's favor?
  17. I'll bet the NFL made the Bills send Bryce Brown deep at the end of the game too. Is there no limit to their corruption!?!
  18. "Just to be dicks" is not reasonable?
  19. Bad teams put themselves in bad situations that magnify questionable calls. The Bills are a bad team.
  20. True story. That play did not cause the Bills to lose the game. Even if (IF) it was the wrong call it STILL would not have caused them to lose the game. Continuing to be garbage in the redzone, turning the ball over and being generally undisciplined caused them to lose the game. Marrone and Hackett got exactly what they deserved.
  21. Yup. Marrone coaches like he's constantly scared to lose instead of trying to win.
  22. I'm crossing my fingers for Nate Hackett.
  23. Actually no! http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/03/9-albert-einstein-quotes-that-are-totally-fake/
  24. Hey, I've hated Hackett since he was hired and said he was bringing back the K-Gun and I've only grown to hate him more since then.
