Tre White to PUP list, out first 4 games
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Considering that the only reason to activate him would be to get him practicing with the team, I will imagine that we will likely know tomorrow. I would not be at all surprised if he is back this week and is game day inactive. It would be equally unsurprising if he's not off the list until the bye week and on a limited basis in the Green Bay game. As excited as I have been for Jackson, Benford and Elam playing well: A) The aren't ready to handle a Chiefs airshow B) After them there...really isn't any passing attack/receiver group in the regular season which we play that I really fear. Not saying we won't get gashed but Minny is pretty much Cousins chucking it to Jefferson; Rogers is showing some age and his WR group is a step down from previous years; Tua (if he hasn't been concussed out of existence) will have to throw in weather that isn't dead air humidity. That leaves us with...Mac Jones/Brian Hoyer? Jared Goff ? Brisset? Zach Wilson? Our schedule was really front loaded. If Tre isn't fully ready by KC I am ready to get him back in slowly. -
Boomer Esiason suggests the Bills should trade for Barkley
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look, I would love Saquon on the team. But to put it bluntly that's a cap hit right there. If I'm spending resources at the midseason mark it's for a DB to cover for the multitude of injuries or WR for the same reason plus wanting an elite #2 because even healthy the Davis, McK, Crowder, Shakir, Kumerow combination has not been mind-blowing -

The guy could have let up. I understand about incident contact and in fact I'm often ok with taking the 15 in the right spot because I want a QB off his mark. Defender knew what he was doing. I wonder if they regret that now -

I think it's part of the spin to deflect from the fact that he should not have been playing. It "it's a scary neck injury, it could happen to anyone" that's a fluke. Instead of what we saw which was "Miami refused to pull him Week 3 with an obvious concussion, rushed to a short Week 4 game where he took a hit which made the concussion possibly life threatening" -

Dude, hearing that "he had a coincidental seizure" instead of "he got concussed again, hard" that's like hearing that someone's head was cut off and the cause of death was low blood pressure. Yeah, the latter is technically true, but you are pretty sure it has something to do with the head wound. -

I mean, I asked my wife is seizures are a symptom of concussions and I got a "not commonly" The tremors we saw are absolutely keeping with two concussions in five days. Yes, I am still salty about losing, but everyone and their mother knew that Tua was concussed on Sunday. Everyone in the NFL knows the risks that come with them. Everyone knows that concussions can be aggravated if hit again before you heal. Everyone knew what the schedule looked like. If the Dolphins had long term aspirations, they trust Bridgewater for a game and a half. They didn't. I will shed no tears at the result. -

oh bull puckey. A seizure, triggered by having his head slammed into the ground? -

See, someone here can appreciate dark humor in the Dolphins staff reaping the rewards of their own ***** decision making. -

That's what I was thinking. They rushed him back out against us knowing that they were going to play a game on a short week. I don't root for injuries, but the Miami training staff played with fire, and I am not sad if they get burned for it. Because we got the end of them burning out to beat us, and I am still salty about it. Especially with all the things that went their way -

"After an exhaustive medical evaluation, I have decided that Tua is not concussed. However, I do prescribe smashing his head into the ground another five times." "What kind of doctor are you?" "I'm not, but the Dolphins clearly don't have any on standby either" -
Why I Want to Beat the Phins so bad this week
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually really liked the city the last time I was there. The Rock and Roll hall of fame is fun, I liked the Michael Symon restaurant I got to go to, the Cleveland Children's Museum was a blast as a kid, and I have family that needed to make regular trips to the Cleveland Clinic so I have nothing wrong with the city itself. But this stuff is new lows -

Yeah, there was a moment where "Tank for Tua" was a thing. The injury was supposed to be the only thing holding him back. I can remember Flores switching between Fitz and Tua and wondering what the hell was happening. While it's unfortunately common for teams to ruin excellent prospects, he's already had chances. It's not like he was throwing to trash last year either. Waddle was there last year, and they had DeVante Parker. Is Hill a step up? Absolutely. But you would think that he was like the Bills in 2018 -

Look, I used to like Cleveland. I felt kinship over being smaller market rust belt teams. It didn't drive me bonkers when Manziel got the hype, though I loved watching him get flattened. It minorly bothered me when people tried to edge Baker Mayfield over Josh Allen, but so far that seemed like normal fan vs fan stuff. Their defense, and now their fans defense of first Kareem Hunt and now Desean Watson are inexcusable. -

Obviously, we all want the Bills to throttle the Dolphins. But as I am getting ready for this game I've realized: I don't think there's a team left on the schedule who I so viciously want to dominate, and that puzzled me. Obviously, I want to knock off the Chiefs but we proved that it can be done in the regular season last year, and if we don't manage it Week 6, there's darn good odds that we get another bite at the apple in January. I want the Bills to beat the Ravens so I can have bragging rights versus a buddy of mine. I want the Bills to beat the Browns because eff those guys. But there is no one else left on the schedule that I would dread losing to. So why are the Dolphins bothering me so much? Basically, it comes down to this: I remember back to 2020. The Bills had knocked off the Jets by a safe margin and edged out a division rival in the Dolphins (Fitz has played out of his mind) but now was the moment that the world told them they were in for a reality check. They were headed in to face the Rams, who had been to the Superbowl and had aspirations. And so the world said, "alright nice story but now it's time for a reality check". Sure, Stephon Diggs was a nice addition, and maybe they would scrap in but now they would be facing an elite team. Now, we know what happened as the end result, which is why we shouldn't get too cocky. But I don't remember many "Man, this would be a statement win for the Bills" takes. I don't remember many "Josh Allen will be on the short list for MVP if this goes well" takes. I don't remember people asking if the Rams had been anointed too soon. And yet, I am hearing this level of hype for the Dolphins and it boggles my mind. I have heard legit questions of Tua being a dark horse MVP candidate after 7/8 quarters of meh play. It took the Bills taking the 2nd seed and smacking the Ravens in the playoffs to be treated as legit contenders, and we still got "they're a nice underdog story". And, god forbid, if we lose, the Dolphins hold the head to head tiebreak and a 2-0 division record until we face them again...in mid-December. I want this narrative to die horribly, and now. Bury 'em boys.- 82 replies

It's Miami Week...Squish The Fish!!!!!

I don't think Lamar Jackson is a bad QB, but the fact that he had a near perfect passer rating is a pretty big indictment. If Davis is back, the Bills have the capacity to torch them. -

And yet, there's been so much media attention about Tua's "emergence" that it bore half a second to evaluate. Obviously, the proof will be this Sunday. The Patriots held them in check with zone defense, and I believe that our version is superior to theirs. The big numbers came from a man coverage Ravens scheme with a depleted secondary. -
If I am Frazier, that's the gameplan that I'm cooking up. Trust Milano, Edmunds, Poyer and Hyde to disciplined in their zones. Be prepared to take a few long Hill or Waddle sprints as the price of doing business, don't panic and stay disciplined. Let Tua make the mistakes we know he is capable of. P.S. Wait, you were in Baltimore Sunday and then hoofed it up to Buffalo for Monday night? Respect/.
