Honestly, I think Hines sticks around. It's not just that he's managed to be solid in the return game, I want to see some more screen game in general. He had a nice long one vs the Pats, and then got a TD vs Miami. I think they are saving him for the playoffs, but at worse he seems like a nice quick out on pass plays.

I want to start off with this disclaimer: I am very happy with Josh Allen's deal. I think Beane did an excellent job structuring a deal that kept the best quarterback the Bills have had in a generation locked up through his prime, with meat on the bone for cap maneuvers. Since then, however, we keep seeing deals that make Beane's (already praised at the time) work look even savvier. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen as 5th and 6th on average cap hit per year. In the meanwhile, Green Bay went back to the well on Aaron Rodgers, paying him the most per year out of every QB. Rodgers has looked nowhere near his prime, is considering retirement and now the Pack is in terrible cap shape while veterans are likely to walk. #2 is Russel Wilson, who cost the Broncos multiple 1st round picks to be a laughingstock. #3 is Kyler Murray, who just got college head coach was just fired. He is locked in for at least two more years (after which it's only a $33 million cap hit), while he is coming off of an ACL injury...where is greatest strength has been running and throwing on the run. #4 is Watson, who shouldn't have been back in the league. His money is fully guaranteed, and is going to be a $55 million hit every year for the next four years. As we saw with the Browns, they have a looooot of problems and Watson returning was not a magic pill. Only one player is going to be 20% of their cap. And that's not even counting Matt Stafford. The Rams pushed all of their chips to the pile last year and I'd be lying if I said I thought their devil's bargain wasn't worth it, but they are going to be paying a butcher's bill for the next few seasons. I understand that the QB position's importance. I understand that starting quality QB play is going to be overpaid but these four QBs are now liabilities for their teams, and in some cases the damage is going to take years to unravel. This was not "Let me overpay for Brock Osweiler they can be good enough" thinking, these players were supposed to transform the franchise. Does this change how teams think of contracts? I don't know. But it's interesting to think about.

I still don't get how we keep playing really good AFC teams on the road. I'm trying to recall, we have played the Chiefs 5 times in the last three years and only one home game?

I didn't see Tua being in extreme doubt to play. Maybe I missed it? But Mostert out is huge. He was gashing is because of the Cover 2 shell that we realistically will need to play again

As much as we love to complain about the defense, the Bills are #2 in the NFL in points allowed after the Niners. Every one of our losses has been a single score game so it's not as if the offense hasn't had its chances. Our scheme is purposefully built to force teams to beat us underneath. This does result in a lot of annoying 3rd and 4th down conversions. But that was the same last year too and the year before that. I think the issue is that the offense hasn't been as hot so you're not seeing the Bills clip teams wings early.

I'll put it this way: I am not spending even that kind of money for a single game when I am (and this is important) I will be busy and not able to watch until I get home and turn on my TV. I spend plenty of money to get streaming on every other network that plays football just because CBS wanted to be annoying

I do love Davis, but I do think he's best as WR #4. He has struggled as a #2

The routes have been there. I can recall multiple weeks where the receiver had the man beat and the throw was just a bit off. Josh finally looks back to 100%

The thing is, even if Lamar comes back I expect Cinci to still be heavily favored. If Tua comes back it's a much closer game

Everyone likes to pile on the zone defense that Frazier does in spite of the fact that we ended the season #2 in points allowed

I personally don't see it happening, but I would agree that Smith's track record and zone scheme is the best veteran coach we would see if Frazier goes.

Ugh. I did not want the 1 pm Sunday slot. One more day for Tua to possibly recover. CBS is the one football channel I get the worst reception on and I can't record and I have stuff going on so I'll miss the first half.

Not going to lie I had that thought. Now that Damar is looking like a full recovery I don't think it's ghoulish to ask what we do at the position. Bedford is a zone player and if he is slower on his return I'd see what he can do as a FS. At the least he has a higher upside than Marlowe

Assuming that the proposal goes through, which I think it will, I think it's a compromise that no one is perfectly happy with but the main parties affected get something: The Bills get forebearance for losing a dear teammate. They still rank over the Bengals and have home games or neutral sites in their path (barring week 18 surprises) The Bengals get to lock up their division. The only way their home field is in doubt is if they lose twice in the year to the Ravens and even then they get a coin flip. The Ravens get screwed out of a chance to take the North but after losing to the Steelers in SNF I have a hard time being upset for them. The Chiefs get unfairly rewarded (unless they choke and we don't rendering it moot) but 90% of why I wanted the #1 seed was to not play them in Arrowhead. I can live with this

I was sick to my stomach last night. But as pointed out, the same thing can happen from a line drive or an errant puck. I legitimately don't know if I'll ever have this conversation with my son.

I never thought I would say it, but Cincy has been a class act throughout all of this. I literally have nothing bad to say about their handling of everything from the players to the coaches to the fans.
