  1. here is the GameDay thread, starting at the first three and out this is the "was it Nagy or Trubisky" My favorite line was when a fan popped in saying he had forgotten the game was today and someone responded "It's ok, Nagy and Dalton forgot too"
  2. I've been reading the Bears forum. It's pure schadenfreude
  3. I had a friend ask me last year, right after the Chiefs vs Browns game "Would it really count as a win if Mahomes didn't play?" (He was a salty Ravens fan) And yeah, absolutely yes I would have taken it. We could have beaten the Bucs had we made it there and no one here would be complaining if that was he case.
  4. I don't ever wish for injuries. But I never say "I want to beat them at their best" I want to beat them. I want them to be bad for a long time. No one went out and handed us the AFC Championship because Beasley and Diggs were hurt.
  5. You know how for years we talked about Belicheck being some 4-D chess master? It feels like that's what Beane can do
  6. Absolutely. I remember the chants of "Suck for Darnold" and we were supposed to have missed out because he didn't come out of the draft the year after Rex left. And then he got taken four picks ahead of Allen by the Jets. The Jets and Adam Gase in particular are a case study of what not to do
  7. This was me as well. I had my reasons. We had just tried drafting a project QB in EJ Manuel and we finally had a playoff roster. I still thought we could make it work under Tyrod. Rosen was considered one of the most pro ready to handle an offense and was an accurate passer. I am very, very happy that I was wrong. Allen is unusual in that he has continually increased his accuracy along with just making smarter decisions. The fact that I still think he's improving after a near MVP season speaks to a sky high ceiling.
  8. I mean, I trust in Beane, and he has done an excellent job in spacing out contracts so we haven't had a purge since the first year. The fourth and fifth year rookie deals help a great deal when trying to get talent around the QB for a Super Bowl run. Obviously, I would rather have Josh and figure out the rest than have a ton of cap space and no clear QB (like most of the drought years), but Kansas City is one hell of an obstacle to get over.
  9. I think we could have waited, but I am pretty happy with the result. If it's an extension, he should be very affordable for the next few years and we should have a window.
  10. One of the things I have come to love as the McDermott years continue is the steadiness I feel getting training camp reports. I still love to hear about the progress, but I no longer freak out over every pass and/or drop. I just see steady, determinate progress and feel confident that we are going back to the playoffs. I don't think I can remember feeling like that as a fan. Maybe back at the end of the Kelly era. I would have been 7 his last year with us.
  11. Quite possibly a starting spot. I would not be shocked of they try to flip him at the end of preseason to a desperate team.
  12. It's been a while since I was back in Buffalo but to my knowledge it's still going strong. I would go there when I would return to meet up with people when I visited. Then, it was my little sister's turn to go there with friends. Good beer and my favorite wings
  13. Honestly the best I've had are at Mr Goodbar on Elmwood. To me, it beats out Gabriel's, Anchor Bar, Duffs and Nova
  14. Oh look, people who think money isn't an abstract concept. And oh look, people conveniently forgetting that the same thing happened the last time we had an economic collapse. And oh look, people being against the revenue increases that would offset the rise of inflation. And wow, when that venn diagram meets you get you chuckleheads
  15. Man, I am so desperate for the new season I still have the division round vs the Ravens saved on my DVR. I just watched arena football. Come to me, sweet buttery preseason.
  16. Brisket has the higher difficulty level. I usually don't like it, but I got some last weekend that blew me out of the water. It was better than any pulled pork I've had. I'm thrilled that McKenzie has a nice second career lined up. NFL careers can be incredibly transient, so it is excellent to have the future prepared.
  17. I am honestly not sure of I could pick a less interesting team. They are far from the best or worst. They were 6-10 in a terrible division in 2020 and were 8-8 the year before that. I strain to place Dak in the Top 10 QBs in the league
  18. I'll be honest, I honestly still think that the Colts are the team to beat out of the South this year. The Titans are dangerous to us because we are particularly weak to the run game but the Colts are more balanced and I honestly think have a better HC and QB. If the Titans want to blow that money and draft capital to be second in their division, let them.
  19. I mean, he's not, but getting multiple years worth of pay in one bonus certainly doesn't hurt. Restructuring like this helps team get cap space. They help players by getting their money faster and putting dead money on the books if they get cut. Either way, we certainly want him here a long time and getting cap space certainly doesn't hurt.
  20. I was guilty of this too. Man, am I happy to be wrong
  21. He does not seem like a long term solution, but holy cheese, do we need an upgrade at NT or 1 Tech
  22. I'll admit, it rubs me the wrong way still. I am still livid. But if the Bills won that game, they were almost certainly getting bounced in the next round. They weren't ready. They win that game, maybe our first round pick doesn't look so appealing to the Vikes and we miss out on Diggs and drop far enough to newer get an elite receiver in the draft. As an ancillary result of losing that game, Allen really seemed to grow in the off-season. It seems after getting a lot of grief about his play in that game he stepped up. We are far better off going into 2021. But those calls were still ***** stupid
  23. I'll tell you what: we'll forget about the "give water to people in line" fight if you agree to non-partisan or bipartisan boards to determine districts to prevent gerrymandering. I mean, can anyone possibly come up with a reason for preventing partisan gerrymandering other than "we will lose otherwise"?
