  1. I'm also among those who think Mac Jones is a fraud. I'll credit Belicheck for putting him in a good situation to succeed, but he has kept the training wheels on. I'll let them dink and dunk and grind if Josh is able to use the whole offense this time
  2. I remember reading an article about Schwartz when he was here about the debate of the value of looking at pass rush success as sacks vs pressures I tend to be in the camp that sacks are great but the truest measure is pressures. Sacks can be flukey. Pressures mean that a QB is consistently making a choice quicker than they like. Sure, they sometimes make a big play but those pressures add up and lead to dump offs at best, a QB often not throwing their best ball, and sometimes them putting it up in the air for an INT.
  3. I think that thing that has us seething tonight is the lopsidedness. I remember back last year when the Bills beat LA and got a new set of downs at the very end because of a ticky tak DPI call. And what I heard all week was the sports world talking about how the refs had robbed LA of a heroic comeback. I am curious to hear how many say that this time. Look, I am a fan of defense. I want to let DBs play and make plays. I want refs to allow tight coverage. But it is particularly egredious to allow some severe contact by a DB on last years #1 receiver, tugging his jersey to a new size. Then, in overtime, an illegal contact call that is called 99 out of a 100 times vs the Bills is ignored only for pretty blatant OPI get called DPI. It's sickening. The amount of ballwashing that Brady gets is terrifying, and non-Bills fans have been noticing since last year
  4. I like the return of McKenzie and Davis. I feel like they got rotated out of gameplans because you had Sanders. Is looks a lot more like our 2020 offense
  5. I have lived through too many heart attack game endings where teams against us rack up a touchdown against prevent coverage and holding our breath as they try an onside kick. Kicking a field goal still leaves that sliver of a chance of a Dolphins comeback. Taking a knee still leaves time on the clock. That's a hallmark of good teams: you put your boot on their throat when you can and you force them to stop you.
  6. I hope we see some jet motion in the second half. It seems like the Titans are blitzing every play and some misdirection might help.
  7. Honestly, I wanted him this summer. But from what I've seen, we are getting more out of Know than Philly got out of Ertz this year. It could very well be from the downgrade in QB talent, but I don't see a reason to spend assets for him at this point, epecially when Ertz walks next year
  8. I'm seeing a lot of National takes that are about how bad the chiefs look and how they have time to recover before the playoffs. Not that McDermott needs to manufacture a chip, but I am sure it helps.
  9. Just noting that, while it's early, we are starting to see returns from our draft this year. Rousseau, along with a few sacks has been flying past the edge. Basham got his first sack today. Spencer Brown got moved to starting RT. None is rocket to the moon, but it's nice consistent production. I'm happy with what we've seen so far.
  10. I don't want to pile on, but I literally preferred to watch with the sound off rather than the Barber/Mowins combo. I got more life from the studio calls
  11. I know that these are special circumstances. The Bills were against a team that was already not very good in 2020 and then were down to their third string QB, that was on the road, in pouring rain. 40-0 shutouts do not happen often in the modern NFL. 109 yards of offense allowed does not happen in the modern NFL.
  12. *Looks at KC putting up 40 points as well vs the Eagles* We are about to find out
  13. that's not to wax poetic about to studio group, but I literally turned off the sound because my wife was watching Eagles/KC. I am not against a woman announcer, but Mowins has the voice of nails on a chalkboard.
  14. Honestly, I am vastly perferring the studio group. They are at least listenable
  15. I mean, that would be justice for how bad they sounds. I have muted them
  16. I know that right now the Texans are a joke of a franchise, but those kind of numbers just don't happen.
  17. While I am not thrilled about the offense, I would not push it in this weather, with our defense playing like this against an inexperienced QB. How many net yards did our defense allow again? Less than 10?
  18. My one worry is how their front 4 matches our O line. That said, Cover One brought up a good point: their linebackers play zone and are liability in pass coverage. We have incredible zone beaters in Beasley and Sanders to exploit that. I hope for the Bills to bring in Moss and a TE to pass protect and then hammer the run game if they go into dime to bracket Diggs, Beasley and Sanders in a 3 WR set
  19. I legitimately loved watching him run, and I am sad that his time here didn't get to the playoff aspirations we had. It wasn't every time, but he was a constant home run threat I am happy that he got one Championship even if it wasn't with us.
  20. I honestly don't know why they just don't go to the Hogs. It was a preexisting nickname and it works fine with their color scheme. But that would mean that someone who isn't a trainwreck of an owner would be charge and Snyder can go pound sand.
  21. Let's hope they are equally bad when we play them
