Obviously we have the benefit of hindsight but man, does it look like Beane chose to right time to cut bait on the departing vets: Diggs: out of the season, was 3rd option Davis: out of the season, underperformed on the woeful Jags Poyer: gifted two big plays to let us win, Miami fans hate him Morse: doing well but stuck on the Jags Dodson: waived now on the Phins Dane Jackson: buried on the bench I know there's luck involved but I can't think of anyone who left who would up in a better situation

Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know if this got posted but it's about how the play worked and how it's part of the overall trend of how playing conservative vs the Chiefs is a death sentence https://www.si.com/nfl/josh-allen-touchdown-bills-beat-chiefs -
He's shown more range this season than I dared hope. He still has some deficiencies but that he can do spot duty fulling in for an All Pro is impressive

Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is pretty much exactly what the Bills need from Cooper this year. He isn't leaving off the stat page but those deep catches were critical and it stops teams from just defending the flats. -
I don't want to sell Brady short: he had the blitz beaters dialed up vs KC in the Divisional Round last year. I remember that final drive when Spags started run blitzing but Kincaid was phenomenal dinking and dunking it. The success of the blitz beaters is why I was so upset about Josh gunning it to Shakir. I honestly think that if Josh hits Diggs the Bills grind out the clock and walk away with the win.

I won't say they're a bad team, but their being 9-0 was through some incredibly lucky breaks and iffy calls. They're still a force but they're a beatable team. Again, not taking him lightly but Kelce has not looked like himself all year. The man is 35, got himself an acting gig in the off-season and is dating a gorgeous world famous pop star. He's a Hall of Fame shoo in with multiple championships under his belt. I would not blame him if thoughts of his post-NFL life are starting to creep in.

Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!

Honestly this is the injury I've had highlighted. Not having Coleman sucks. Likely not having Kincaid sucks. But without Cooper the Chiefs just dare the Bills to take deep shots by stacking the box and sitting on underneath routes -

Can we sign him in time for the game? -
Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!

Yeah there is little that is going to devalue a WR looking for the last contract of his career like missing extended time. Whether his hand is strong enough to take Allen's fastball is a legitimate question. I expect he plays -

Of those three receiving threats, I think Cooper makes or breaks the offense this week. The Colts clamped down hard on the underneath routes and we saw Josh have one of his worst games of the season. The Chiefs have a fantastic run D this year, so we likely aren't going to be able to run to set up the pass. We need someone to stretch the field and Cooper is the best shot -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems

I would also like to speculate upon the defecation habits of bears in the woods and the theology of the pontiff -
Cover One is the best IMHO

Well it's a home game "I thought it was happening in LA" Like I said a home game.

I mean I get the mentality. Beating the Chiefs in the regular season does nothing and what matters most is having everyone ready to go in the Divisional Round. But I don't get the "oh we can't catch up with the Chiefs" mentality. If the Bills win, the toughest team left on the schedule is the Lions are currently the only team two games or better over .500, and also the Niners flying to the East Coast after the Bills bye week. It's entirely possible for the Bills to end the season at 14-3 or 13-4. Meanwhile the Chiefs end the season playing the Steelers, Texans and a road Broncos game where Denver might be playing to get into the playoffs. If Cooper can go I think we can make due for a game. -

That's about as good as we could have hoped for in terms of recovery time: back in the roster in December with a few weeks to get back into game shape and ready to roll in the playoffs -

Usually I like to bask in a win for a bit but this is a game people have had circled since the schedule dropped. I'd say the biggest effect is in whether the Bills make a push to get the one seed or prioritize being healthy because honestly I'd prefer another rematch in Arrowhead rather than the Ravens anywhere -
Yeah but Spencer Brown spoke coarsely to a guy after a different late hit on Josh and we all know that's so much worse
