  1. Lololol ok sure, let's see the Chiefs and Bills head to head vs the vikes and Eagles and see how that goes
  2. I'll be honest, Philly has surprised me. That's ok, let them be called the best. We'll keep polishing our knives. I still think they fold once the playoffs start.
  3. I am honestly not sure what the holdup is, unless they want to be extra, extra sure. The brass didn't need to activate him if they thought he would be three weeks away still. Maybe he just is having some trouble getting up to game speed and they want the Jets and Zach Wilson to warm him up?
  4. I like the combo alright, and we keep winning in primetime with it, so let's wear it until we lose! I hear you! To me they look like red long johns
  5. I have to agree. I mean, I know the reasons why: Everyone wants the next offensive guru Connections Recency bias Everyone wants the next Sean McVay, which is why teams have pillaged his coaching tree. Which is why Zac Taylor, Matt LeFleur and Brandon Staley have jobs, as underwhelming they have been in those roles. Hackett is the culmination of a lot of the worst tendencies of the league.
  6. Look, I like Daboll a lot. I think he's done well to take a relatively undertalented Giants team and get them to 6-1. He made the most of Tyrod in the last year here, and helped put together solid game plans to bring Allen along. I don't think Allen gets as good as he is today without someone being patient with him. We have seen Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold sent to the garbage heap for being pushed too fast and not supported. He's not going to make Jones into a superstar. Josh Allen is doing just fine with Ken Dorsey.
  7. I mean, Bills fans could have told you that. Without Breece Hall, the Jet's winning streak is going to turn ugly.
  8. I do not root for injuries especially after the utter slog the Bills have gone through. (though I will laugh at the comeuppance of the criminally negligent Dolphins staff) That said, it's good news for us. He's been the brightest spot in the Jets offense, and should help keep the remainder of the AFC East in a 7-9 win morass.
  9. Back about a decade ago bleacher report ran a story about what would happen if GRRM wrote the NFL season. You know, back when Game of Thrones was good. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1206370-if-george-rr-martin-wrote-the-script-to-the-2012-nfl-season It's a funny bit, and I liked the idea of the Bills being the Others/Whitewalkers and I liked the picture of Shawn Merriman as one. Well Merriman left the team but as a pale blue eyed thing walking the southern lands of South Jersey I pivoted.
  10. I think we are being a little hard on the OP. We weren't the first, but Mahommes, while excellent, has looked mortal these last three weeks. I don't think the loss of Tyreek Hill can be overstated, even if talking heads deny it. Hill can take a simple slant for 40 yards. I do like the rush 3 with a spy approach we used on the final drive. Maybe we are one of the few who can use it, but I expect a heavy dose of it going forward
  11. Look, I like the Eagles. I even like Eagles fans. There is no way in hell that they are a better team than the Bills. The NFC is paper soft this year. Hurts has surprised me this year, but I think Lamar Jackson is a better QB. I'll grant that they have a better run game and tight ends but I will take our QB and WRs any day. The Bills have the #1 scoring defense to their 6th, and that's with playing against the reigning Super Bowl champs, Lamar Jackson, and Pat Mahommes. They haven't let anyone score higher than 21. Meanwhile the Eagles have played...Detroit and Minny (who aren't bad) and then Arizona, Jacksonville, the Commies and a backup QB led Cowboys. Good on them for playing up to their schedule. They didn't pick it. But they'd be a lot closer to Earth if they were in the AFC
  12. I remember being terrified of Denver with an infusion of Russel Wilson. Now, not so much.
  13. He's progressing along the path that I hoped for. I think he would be a bigger story were it not for Dane Jackson playing at a high level as CB1 and Benford turning out to be a hidden gem, but the fact that the worst thing I can say about him is that he got picked on in one game where the opponent scored 3 total points means that we are getting what you hope for out of a 1st round rookie. I suspect that he'll be CB2 at the start of 2023, but the fact that we are going to have him, Dane Jackson and Christian Benford on controlled rookie salaries and White and Johnson on very reasonable contracts should mean that we have CB locked up for a while. Now to deal with Safety.
  14. I think it's a combination: Even last year he was showing signs of regression and locking onto DeVante Adams as his crutch. With a downgrade at receiver he no longer has that security blanket. I know I would not trade receiver rooms right now. But the play calling balance is just not there. If they run more maybe he can level out but there are no coaches reining him in.
  15. They are both so darn good and are so unique in their talents that even the Brady vs Manning rivalry comparisons just doesn't seem right. Both can improvise when things don't go right. Both are hard to bring down. Both can make magic happen. The best I can boil it down to is that Mahommes constantly makes the difficult look easy while Allen can make the impossible happen.
  16. I cant believe Poyer drove 15 hours to make this game. He deserves all the money
  17. I saw something floating around on facebook that Tre White is practicing again, but would be targeting a return for the Packers game.
  18. Let's be honest, at this point Tua getting smacked on the forehead with a ping pong ball might concuss him again.
  19. I'll be honest, I like the Eagles and Eagles fans in general. I have never had a bad experience with Eagles fans, and most have generally been fine for the Bills. I enjoy bonding over a shared dislike of the Cowboys and Patriots. So I'll be honest: they are getting too confident. Their roster looks a lot like our 2016/2017 team: loaded at all positions other than QB, and with a QB who can do just enough. Like Tyrod, Hurts is getting the most out of his run talents and is hitting some nice deep throws. Eventually they will play a team that has a defense that will clamp down and force them to death by papercut style offense. (I suspect this Sunday) But yeah, they have a light schedule. It's not their doing, and I expect them to be a playoff team. The NFC is such a joke right now that they might even win. But Superbowl? Not unless the Bills, Chiefs, Ravens and Titans all beat themselves up so horribly in the playoffs that no one can field a complete roster.
  20. Kansas City is playin on a short week, after a huge comeback. I am hoping that we are their let down game and we take the conference.
  21. I don't know if anyone answered this, but I looked ahead a few pages and didn't see anything. Here's from how I understand it: when Carolina paid the signing, restructure and workout bonuses, those all kicked in. The signing and restructure become prorated. In short, if they move on from him, they eat that money. They are the ones on the hook for it, which is why they want a high draft pick to counteract having to pay for a player who is no longer there. With Carolina paying the signing bonus, all that is left on the books in unguaranteed salary. Maybe he is willing to take it in a lump sum for another signing bonus. But this will undoubtedly play into Carolina's asking price. But I heard about it in my High Level Meetings!?!
  22. Look, Barkley is probably the better RB but their situations are very different. Barkley has a high salary number in the last year of his deal. CMC has the majority of his cap hit this year in bonuses already paid and would have negligible cap hit, while giving the Bills two more years of control.
