  1. The ugliest win is nicer than a strong moral victory. I got too many of the latter in the drought years
  2. I just never had the sound on because I was already in a bad mood. It was good for my mental health
  3. I'll give it to the Chargers: they came to play. They had little to play for other than pride and they still brought it. But it's only close with 3 bad turnovers
  4. 13 points off of 3 turnovers
  5. Really? I didn't see much. What just disappointment that they can't clinch this week and still have to play?
  6. This is the kind of game we lose earlier in the season
  7. Ooof That was not pretty Buuuuut it's a win
  8. What the hell is happening?
  9. #1 rushing offense in the league. #2 in yards allowed, #1 in TD allowed. Tied for the best record in the league playing in a division where the worst team is 7-7. They are real. Are they world beaters? I don't know. But all signs say they are legit.
  10. I really hope it's the Steelers too. I want as much cushion on Week 18 as possible.
  11. I will say that while Miami does have a run game, it's success is based on fundamentally different principles than what the Bills exploiting. The Cowboys are built light, and designed to fight a shootout where they can use Parsons to rush the passer. To counter this, the Bills were rolling out Jumbo formations: 6 OL, 1 TE, 1 FB, 1 RB and running it down their throats and they just don't have the bodies to counter in their base and their adjustments didn't work. Miami's run success comes when you use the threat of Hill and Waddle to spread a defense thin, make them account for the pass game and then pound them. The Cowboys (in theory) are better built to win that kind of fight.
  12. Miami Good enough to make the playoffs? Yes. Looking at the QB starter injury crazy in the AFC and the talent they have, yes, they deserve to be in the playoffs. Are they battle tested? Laughably no. They do not have wins on any team with a winning record. They drew the team with the worst record in football from the NFC. They lost to the worst team in the AFC South. The strongest team they beat was the currently 0.500 Broncos during an early season skid. The next three games are three of the best 5 teams they play all year (Chief, Eagles, Cowboys, Ravens, Bills x2). Now, Dallas is #5 on that list and are also frauds, so who knows. Baltimore I expect a spanking
  13. Hey, the Bills do fine in Orchard Park, I don't think having a majority of Bills fans in attendance will be a problem
  14. That's what makes me think that Jones is expected to be back sooner than later. If they think he's good to go, then there is no doubt that he's an upgrade.
  15. In my mind that tells me that Jones is ready to start sooner rather than later. Maybe not this week, but soon.
  16. I hadn't heard anything about Phillips being on IR? EDIT: Apparently he is. That means he's out for the rest of the regular season. Back for playoffs?
  17. That was my next comment. It's the only reason I can think of because someone ran the numbers and in Week 18 the Bills v Dolphins is the most likely to have some kind of playoff implication. Even if it's not for the division, it's almost certain that one or both teams will be playing for some kind of seeding. Even if not, I saw that when people ran out sims it's the game most likely to have some kind of seeding implication
  18. I am not taking the point spread. I think the Bills win, but I think just getting out with a win is enough
  19. Plenty, but mostly prep for Christmas Day: Hasselbeck potato gratin to freeze and bake Start slow cooking pork bell roast Season lamb racks
  20. Honestly, I am with you. Anchor Bar ships their sauce over Amazon. Our home cooking methods get us a superior product so I should just stick to that rather than be continually disappointed. Unless we want to make our own Wing Shop...
  21. Yeah, the Jersey part of the Philly suburbs. That particular place is called Southwood and would be an ideal dive were it not for the travesty of wings. I have a few places I have been to that I find tolerable: the Jug Handle Inn and Warwick Tavern bread theirs but not too badly and they have good sauce. I have tried Golden Nugget, Schileens, and Dominics and was unimpressed. Mount Royal Inn had the proper fry (the owners are WNY ex-pats) but the sauce was subpar. There was a placed called Miss Heavens right by me that was supposed to be "best in the state" and I literally spit some of it out. I sometimes literally dip my finger into salt, and their lemon pepper was too salty for me and the Buffalo was a disappointment.
  22. yeah that is the best result I've even got. You can load up at the first stage too then smaller batch fry
