  1. Hey I've seen that one before!
  2. Greg Roman has taken a lot of grief and some of that is well earned. He is, however, an excellent run scheme designer
  3. I appreciate Woody Johnson's devotion to allowing the Bills to beat his team twice a year.
  4. It's too far out for me to guess matchup implications. As such, I root for what aids the Bills most in their seeding A Chargers win still has almost no chance of them overtaking the Chiefs. A Ravens win puts them with 2 games of edging out the Bills. As such, go Chargers
  5. I don't think it's wrong to say I'd prefer the Steelers to the Ravens. Or really, anyone but the Ravens. I give the Bills a punchers chance vs anyone but that's the matchup that is our Ds perfect storm nightmare
  6. Someone worked it out. If the rankings are as current the Bills would host Broncos in the wild card and would mathematically be unable to play the Ravens on the divisional round: if Ravens win, theyd play KC and the Bills the middle seed. If they Ravens lose, the Bills play the Steelers who I feel better about playing. But I know, I'm talking hypotheticals that are weeks away at least accurately speculate on
  7. I'm conflicted because at present I want to have the Steelers win the division so Buffalo doesn't have to play the Ravens if at all possible but I love having the buffer to the #2 seed
  8. I am sure Rex would do it if given the chance. Woody should not give it to him considering not only how it ended for his team, but what happened in Buffalo immediately afterwards. But he might just be dumb enough to make that call.
  9. Here's the thing: Douglas is a pretty good talent evaluator. He was part of the FO group that got the Eagles Super Bowl squad together. He's made some very nice picks. But like Doug Whaley, he was short a QB and hoo boy did that cost him. I don't even blame him for taking a shot on Rodgers. But all that money that's been kicked back, and then all the players and coaches they got to make Rodgers happy have been a millstone. Like Salah before him, Douglas is not the singular reason that the Jets are in this state. Maybe he didn't help, but I don't see that team going anywhere with Rogers, and next year might be a painful offramp
  10. You missed "the refs jobbed us" which is a favorite of mine. I needed a good laugh 🤣
  11. I am sure Beane is going to try. I'll be honest, I'm a big fan of the "draft and develop" model. There are more stories about a high priced free agent from another team failing to live up to the contract than the other way around. You know these guys work with the pieces around them in your system. Draft for potential high level talent, cover deficiencies with journeymen while you develop, do your best to retain the talent you hit on. It's a formula for long term success. I honestly suspect that after the end of this year Beane gets one of those three locked up and starts working on the others before the end of 2025.
  12. Obviously we have the benefit of hindsight but man, does it look like Beane chose to right time to cut bait on the departing vets: Diggs: out of the season, was 3rd option Davis: out of the season, underperformed on the woeful Jags Poyer: gifted two big plays to let us win, Miami fans hate him Morse: doing well but stuck on the Jags Dodson: waived now on the Phins Dane Jackson: buried on the bench I know there's luck involved but I can't think of anyone who left who would up in a better situation
  13. From what I heard the injury was supposed to be season ending. Then, hopefully, the hammer comes down
  14. I don't know if this got posted but it's about how the play worked and how it's part of the overall trend of how playing conservative vs the Chiefs is a death sentence https://www.si.com/nfl/josh-allen-touchdown-bills-beat-chiefs
  15. He's shown more range this season than I dared hope. He still has some deficiencies but that he can do spot duty fulling in for an All Pro is impressive
  16. That is pretty much exactly what the Bills need from Cooper this year. He isn't leaving off the stat page but those deep catches were critical and it stops teams from just defending the flats.
  17. I don't want to sell Brady short: he had the blitz beaters dialed up vs KC in the Divisional Round last year. I remember that final drive when Spags started run blitzing but Kincaid was phenomenal dinking and dunking it. The success of the blitz beaters is why I was so upset about Josh gunning it to Shakir. I honestly think that if Josh hits Diggs the Bills grind out the clock and walk away with the win.
  18. I won't say they're a bad team, but their being 9-0 was through some incredibly lucky breaks and iffy calls. They're still a force but they're a beatable team. Again, not taking him lightly but Kelce has not looked like himself all year. The man is 35, got himself an acting gig in the off-season and is dating a gorgeous world famous pop star. He's a Hall of Fame shoo in with multiple championships under his belt. I would not blame him if thoughts of his post-NFL life are starting to creep in.
  19. I'm thrilled but I don't get why they aren't going for a 2 pt conversion there. Worst case scenario it fails and the Bills still have an 8 point lead. Success and you're 10 points out.
  20. I feel like I'm in a good place mentally this week. The game has obvious stakes so I'm invested but both teams are near locks for the playoffs. The outcome matters, but isn't definitive
  21. Honestly this is the injury I've had highlighted. Not having Coleman sucks. Likely not having Kincaid sucks. But without Cooper the Chiefs just dare the Bills to take deep shots by stacking the box and sitting on underneath routes
  22. Can we sign him in time for the game?
  23. Yeah there is little that is going to devalue a WR looking for the last contract of his career like missing extended time. Whether his hand is strong enough to take Allen's fastball is a legitimate question. I expect he plays
  24. Of those three receiving threats, I think Cooper makes or breaks the offense this week. The Colts clamped down hard on the underneath routes and we saw Josh have one of his worst games of the season. The Chiefs have a fantastic run D this year, so we likely aren't going to be able to run to set up the pass. We need someone to stretch the field and Cooper is the best shot
