  1. Fair but the Vikes utterly ran him into the ground. I think James has taken less abuse and has less tread on the tires
  2. Ok the Mac Hollins outfit is 🔥
  3. Now I'm glad they didn't play Coleman and Kincaid tonight. No need to risk injury
  4. I'm going to say it: I think there's a good chance that James Cook will be the superior Cook RB brother
  5. Is there a record for quickest real time 1st quarter? Because this is looking rather close
  6. I'm fine with that. Just so long as the game stays on time
  7. It doesn't sound like there's any risk of cancellation but it sounds like weather has to be a factor. If for nothing else, snowballs.
  8. And there he is making the False Start signal. If you want to say that the penalty was a shift after the fact, fine, but you blew the whistle. How on Earth do you let a "mistake" (I use that term loosely because it seems far more plausible a fix was in) and expect people to believe the refs can be trusted?
  9. On the plus side, have you seen how the Chiefs are playing these last few weeks? They got a ridiculous special teams play vs the Broncos, got beaten by a battered Bills team by more than a score and beat two of the worst teams in the league by a combined 5 points. Yes, the BS is real. But coming up is: -two current AFC division leaders (Steelers and Texans) -two playoff caliber division rivals desperate for WC spots (Chargers and Broncos rematches) -a fluky Browns team that I have no idea what to expect of week to week If the last month of play continues I think there's a reasonable chance they lose two and even then if they reach the playoffs playing like this?
  10. Yep. Even if the flag was picked up it would have been a dead play. Is that a ridiculously long kick to make after a penalty? Yes? Did the Raiders deserve to lose? Yes. But this is some BS
  11. I've been trying to not do the "lol the KC Referees are unbeatable" schtick but this one takes the cake. Whistles go, flags go on what for any other team is a dead ball but that's what hands KC a game clinching turnover. The NFL is not quieting calls of match fixing anytime soon
  12. Hey I've seen that one before!
  13. Greg Roman has taken a lot of grief and some of that is well earned. He is, however, an excellent run scheme designer
  14. I appreciate Woody Johnson's devotion to allowing the Bills to beat his team twice a year.
  15. It's too far out for me to guess matchup implications. As such, I root for what aids the Bills most in their seeding A Chargers win still has almost no chance of them overtaking the Chiefs. A Ravens win puts them with 2 games of edging out the Bills. As such, go Chargers
  16. I don't think it's wrong to say I'd prefer the Steelers to the Ravens. Or really, anyone but the Ravens. I give the Bills a punchers chance vs anyone but that's the matchup that is our Ds perfect storm nightmare
  17. Someone worked it out. If the rankings are as current the Bills would host Broncos in the wild card and would mathematically be unable to play the Ravens on the divisional round: if Ravens win, theyd play KC and the Bills the middle seed. If they Ravens lose, the Bills play the Steelers who I feel better about playing. But I know, I'm talking hypotheticals that are weeks away at least accurately speculate on
  18. I'm conflicted because at present I want to have the Steelers win the division so Buffalo doesn't have to play the Ravens if at all possible but I love having the buffer to the #2 seed
  19. I am sure Rex would do it if given the chance. Woody should not give it to him considering not only how it ended for his team, but what happened in Buffalo immediately afterwards. But he might just be dumb enough to make that call.
  20. Here's the thing: Douglas is a pretty good talent evaluator. He was part of the FO group that got the Eagles Super Bowl squad together. He's made some very nice picks. But like Doug Whaley, he was short a QB and hoo boy did that cost him. I don't even blame him for taking a shot on Rodgers. But all that money that's been kicked back, and then all the players and coaches they got to make Rodgers happy have been a millstone. Like Salah before him, Douglas is not the singular reason that the Jets are in this state. Maybe he didn't help, but I don't see that team going anywhere with Rogers, and next year might be a painful offramp
  21. You missed "the refs jobbed us" which is a favorite of mine. I needed a good laugh 🤣
  22. I am sure Beane is going to try. I'll be honest, I'm a big fan of the "draft and develop" model. There are more stories about a high priced free agent from another team failing to live up to the contract than the other way around. You know these guys work with the pieces around them in your system. Draft for potential high level talent, cover deficiencies with journeymen while you develop, do your best to retain the talent you hit on. It's a formula for long term success. I honestly suspect that after the end of this year Beane gets one of those three locked up and starts working on the others before the end of 2025.
