  1. I think I said it elsewhere, it takes a bit for Steven A, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless all to agree with a topic.
  2. I mean, that sounds exactly like what Mahommes is saying. "Takes away from greatness"
  3. I checked out the national media clips at my lunch break and I was actually pleasantly surprised. Apart from one homer (keeping an eye out for Nick Wright too) the vast majority of opinion appears to be that Toney was absolutely Offside, and was such a massive head case that if he'd done the bare minimum basics he could have avoided it and the play would have stood. You know it's bad when Stephen A Smith, Keyshawn Johnson, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless are all agreeing on something. Smith and Bayless in particular went after Reid and Mahommes for being out of line.
  4. @YoloinOhio Who am I kidding
  5. KC BBQ claims another one victim
  6. Or ends it. That would be nice
  7. Exactly the point I'm making. I completely agree with the idea of "let them play" and "stop ticky tack penalties that don't affect the outcome of the play" or "the NFL needs more consistency on reviewed calls in critical spots" Just off the top of my head 12 men on the field giving the Broncos another FG attempt DaQuan Jones called for roughing the passer after 3 seconds of pushing Mayfield back and the play not called dead Eagles drop the ball, on their winning drive, called a fumble and Bills recovery on the field, reversed I'm not saying the message is wrong, but the Chiefs are the wrong messagers and Josh Allen is the last player to complain about refball too
  8. I don't know about weird. Early indicators are that McDermott is going to stick around another year unless he really poops the bed. If he is staying, Brady is the logical choice to keep as OC. This seems like hiring someone to effectively delegate what Brady was doing before now that he has more on his plate.
  9. I'll just say this about the Cowboys: that was their first win against a team with a winning record this year. I know they don't control the schedule, but they strike me as the Miami of the NFC: a team with some legit talent but has its view of being a SB contender due to blowing out bad teams and riding a media hype wave.
  10. People said a lot of stupid stuff after the Eagles loss
  11. It was the polite version of "cool story bro". Because Josh knows nothing of heartbreaking losses and plays called back by dumb penalties. I also think that there is something that bears repeating: this isn't a binary of "Refs made a call Bills win, no call Chiefs win". This isn't the Bills having 12 men on the field so Denver gets another kick or the Eagles fumbling in overtime and the turnover is called back or the game would be over. Let's say, hypothetically, that the play stands as called and is a touchdown. The Bills are now in 4 down territory with all timeouts. It's not a sure thing at all. And it's not as if the Chiefs suddenly had no chance. They had two more plays to get a first down and all the time in the world. And it's maddening to see the discussion seemingly be "oh the refs decided the game again"
  12. ESPN needs to fellate their golden child. Brady is gone, Mahommes is their heir
  13. Right now he's probably our most dynamic weapon
  14. Exactly. When bodies in full motion and you get into "how much contact is too much contact", or "what is a catch" I can understand and I grouse plenty over calls and non-calls. But this was at standstill, and to the point where the line judge is saying he couldn't see the ball because Toney's foot is in way. And the argument against seems to boil down to "well usually we just get away with it" and "it wiped out a sick play brah, why you harshing my vibe".
  15. There has be to a happy medium. I saw Kincaid on the outside one play, maybe we can do more of that.
  16. I don't know about Cowherd, but I am here for the Nick Wright pain
  17. @Miyagi-Do Karate more to the point, I turned on the Tom Grossi stream and THAT is how I got my 1st quarter info. When a content streamer is getting more of a response than the official platform, something is wrong.
  18. Yolo, correct me if I am wrong, but did that referee plainly state the things that he looked for and offered a step by step decision making? That is the clearest description of rules I've seen in a while. I mean, the explanation of why Murray was a catch and fumble: "Well, it was ruled on the field this way. Once a challenge gets made we have to look at the following elements: 1) Was Allen in bounds? Yes 2) Murray has two feet down, stows the ball, takes a step, then moves the ball and drops it. Possession and fumble 3) Ball drops, and rolls out of bounds. Confirmed." I actually see a step by step breakdown and it makes sense.
  19. Let me know who you contact. This is unacceptable, and I will not be doing Sunday Ticket next year because of stuff like this. The cost was high but I thought it would be worth it for legal working streams. But the restrictions and the blackouts make it pointless.
  20. I too would visit just for the BBQ
  21. Oh I think few people will disagree that reffing is broken and needs to be burnt to the ground. Somehow the USFL and XFL can make games happen and still be transparent. This year it's been bad. But the Chiefs response comes off as whining because all through the year they got lucky calls. Even last week the "no call" came after a questionable Roughing the Passer. It's them suddenly waking up to the problem after the refs actually got one right after screwing the Bills out of ten seconds at the end of the half, Kelce catch, gifting KC a sack on Josh that the rules didn't apply to Patty, Sneed playing real close to what we get flagged for PI. It didn't even cost them the game. The score would have given the Bills the chance to win it with 3 time out and 80 seconds. They had two more downs.
  22. I don't remember the Bills going out and ripping the refs when the Chiefs jobbed them. Fans, sure, that's what fans do . But the one time they get a call right, and it's blatantly obvious, now is the time to cry? Because you lost two in a row? That you might have to play a playoff game on the road?
  23. This is mind blowing to me, and permanently changes my opinions on the man. The joke was KC getting a lot of ref calls, but after the Bills were obviously jobbed vs the Eagles, where the game saw Kelce get a catch on appeal, Mahommes gets out of a sack where Allen got the play blown dead, Diggs getting mugged hard to no calls...they shot themselves in the foot. Accept it. move on. You are in a cupcake division.
