  1. Probably. It's not that long of a flight, and training facilities are important. I hope it doesn't come to that.
  2. Ties are rare in the NFL. You get an average of maybe one a year. The reason why no one is talking about it is that whoever gets in is on the short list to get bounced Wild Card Weekend. This isn't even a "oh the Bills are going to roll them", I think that no matter where the winner of this game gets seeded it's on the road vs Miami, Buffalo, KC at home against Cleveland and I would call them the underdog in all of those scenarios, and the road doesn't get much easier after that.
  3. I think that if Ken Dorsey had Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle the last two years he wouldn't have been fired and if McDaniel had Diggs and Gabe Davis the Dolphins would be limping to get a playoff spot. It's like how Bill Belicheck got called a genius...and he was. I don't think Tom Brady wins as many Super Bowls together without that pairing. And it's not that Belicheck was bad the first few years without Brady, but ho boy was it evident that things weren't right. I think McDaniel lucked into a not terrible offense mismanaged by Brian Flores (do you remember the Ryan Fitzpatrick/Tua rotation?), and then got an MVP candidate WR. I'd argue Kyle Shanahan is a genius equaling and exceeding McDaniel's success with Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance and now Mr. Irrelevent Brock Purdy rather than the guy who once raised the cry "tank for Tua!"
  4. 1) Yes. Out of all of the team vying at the edge of 7 I think they are the most dangerous. 2) Any of those things happening means that if the Bills lose they squeak into the playoffs
  5. I've been thinking this, though I was going to wait until the final report to come out. At are at some of the healthiest we've been all season. I think the only offensive player we have on IR is Justin Shorter. We've lost Milano and White, but gained Rasul Douglass and what is supposed to be a Hall of Fame pass rusher in Von Miller. If we can't beat a team that we smacked 48-20 earlier in the year, in an arena that looks like an even split of fans, with a team injured to heck then it's a matter of coaching, preparation and execution then I can't honestly say that I think we have even a punchers chance of deep playoff run. Let it ride
  6. I mean, for one, Diggs and Allen have roasted Ramsey in their career. Two...ok. Make Ramsey cover Diggs all game. Put Diggs into motion into the slot on the same side as Gabe and leave Shakir/Kincaid on the other side. Make Diggs get covered by a LB or leave Shakir/Kincaid against a DB corps that has Eli Apple as the #2.
  7. Finally saw the bit. Wow does Nick Wright sound like a homer
  8. Choednose Squidward realllly has it in for the Bills in general. He decided that Allen was a bad pick and never moved from the take. The problem right now is the fact that when you start looking at the stat comparisons between his beloved Chiefs and the Bills, they are really, really close this year: similar defensive stats (near identical PPG allowed), similar record (with the Bills holding the head to head) and worst of all for him, the same number of passing touchdowns even with Josh having 15 more rushing ones (at 2 more INTs). So the only way to have his takes survive remotely intact is for the Bills to choke out of the playoffs at the last minute and he desperately wants that to happen.
  9. I'll say it again: I was perfectly happy watching the Chargers game on mute. I'm not local anymore and haven't listen in a long time, but I am sure that the local WGR broadcast will be better. As much of a left handed compliment that is.
  10. FWIW I remember speculation that it would be a big jump. Sports betting has taken off in a big way. Again, complete speculation on the actual amount of revenue, but the gambling advertising I've seen has been going crazy.
  11. I believe the estimate was running on the Over The Cap figures, which had a slightly more generous cap estimate. The general numbers per contract seem to hold out though. The premise that we can very comfortably get over the cap and have the money for rookies and a few modest re-signings still holds, as does the idea that if we have a once in a lifetime shot we can really push it, though there will be some uncomfortable changes.
  12. I try to keep a "don't root for injuries" mentality, but Waddle and Mostert being out would be huge. I expect Hill to play (and be effective) but with his injury and personal stuff I can't imagine that we are seeing 100%
  13. I don't think we will build exactly like them, but Josh has looked good using some motion. There is a difference between using motion as part of a complexity addiction (as I see the Dolphins), and using it to diagnose coverage and create a mismatch.
  14. I know I was joking a bit ago, but I am really annoyed by the Dolphins this year...or rather, I am annoyed at the amount of praise laid at their feet. I think that while they are good, a lot of McDaniel's genius can be attributed to having an All Pro WR in Hill and a #2 in waddle that could be a starter on a lot of other teams.
  15. Uh oh. I am agreeing with SAS. This does not portend well
  16. I know I am not up to date on the latest in sports medicine, but last I had heard Achilles was harder to come back from than ACL.
  17. At this point, the only thing I would take Aaron Rodger's advice on is recreational substances.
  18. It's a good placeholder for the full exhibit
  19. But what about those of us who are pessimistic AND delusional! ...because I think that's most of the GDTs
  20. I had the sound off during the Chargers game. That was good for my mental health
  21. Yes, no doubt. The problem is that Achilles are long painful rehabs and often you never reach top speed again. Tre's talents were never as a speedster but in instinct and technique. I think you could get something out of him, but I doubt we see #1 CB level from him next year. Maybe in 2025, but that's a lot of patience and money to have him ride the pine.
  22. I mean, even taking out that Allen has put up huge numbers vs Ramsey in the past while he did this... If you know Ramsey is going to shadow most plays, putting Diggs into motion should give massive holes for Kincaid and Cook to exploit if secondary help has been moved.
  23. yeah, that's what I was going to say. I've never been a Twitter addict, but it's massive for sports updates. Ever since Musk bought the platform I've been banned with no explanation and no reply to my questions meaning I can't post or comment (while they have no problem with literal Nazis and Alex Jones). And then the algorithm has just been abysmal. It's become the place where the worst people in the world get the loudest voices, the aforementioned scumbags and Dolphins fans. (There might be soooome false equivalence there :P)
  24. I mean, I don't know if it's possible to have too many #1 WRs in the pipeline considering what they get in free agency but yeah. We have a #1 WR in Diggs. In spite of conjecture from talking heads, the money makes it nearly impossible to move on from him in 2024. He's still putting up a 1000 yard season on a down year. The best years he had with us were when he had Smoke Brown or Emmanuel Sanders as the #2 option, an in prime Cole Beasley in the slot and Gabe Davis as a #4. I think we can be productive with Shakir as #3 and Kincaid as a wild card, but just to have someone reliable on the outside so that teams don't just keep shifting to take away Diggs.
