  1. Even if not a upgrade it's crazy that we are getting equal (if not better) production from a third round pick compared to a guy compared to Kuechley, taken 16th overall in his year and given $50 million guaranteed. The Bears just threw crazy money at him. Exactly. I was in the "can we extend at a reasonable rate" camp before the Bears backed up a Brinks truck. So far that money to Ed Oliver is looking like a far better investment
  2. And Von starts? Hey I can dream It would certainly take the sting out of Groot potentially missing
  3. Have you considered that money is an imaginary concept? Also that the agreed budget from the August negotiation leveled spending and McCarthy backed out due to the crazies who want to burn it all down
  4. I think NC is being really hard on himself, referring to himself as an idiot. I mean, that seems to be accurate... That Kevin McCarthy is an untrustworthy liar is nothing new. Unfortunately, that does seem quite representative of his caucus
  5. I mean, it's pretty self aware that you know you're an idiot . But seriously, I think there is a decent chance McCarthy will be back without the insane vacate requirements. Mostly because everyone on the GOP realizes that they have no one more competent in the House. Even the most competent politician will have trouble keeping a coalition together of people scared for their seats and needing to show *something* and the Crazy Caucus of "Jewish Space Laser" Green and Matt "I date high schoolers" Gaetz
  6. 8. We are supposed to alternate between 8 and 9 with the 17 game schedule. We had 9 away games scheduled last year, but the Bengals was a wash.
  7. It's less "oh no what an impossible hurdle" and more griping about how what was supposed to be an advantage for us turned neutral at best. The Bills play the AFC division winners. They play the Chiefs on the road (for the 5th straight time, 7 out of 8). They play the Bengals on the road. What *should* be our one home game vs a conference rival is instead effectively a road game. It's not the end of the world, but I'm salty
  8. I am still salty that we lost a home game and instead have to play a division winner in a different country, where they are the home away from home team, and who already have a week to prepare from the jet lag
  9. It was on one of his Twitter breakdowns. Bernard shot the backdoor while Milano made the stop. It's not a stat line play but it sealed a hole on a run
  10. Quieter game on the box score but Bernard popped in some Baldy Breakdown and that fumble recovery was huge. It's only four games in but Bernard is looking like a steal. I know it's his second year but it feels like we got another draft pick hit.
  11. Guys, I think we need to consider the possibility that White has played his last down with us. Achilles are hard to rehab. I will not be shocked if White is a trade candidate EDIT: I like Tre and I don't want to see him gone, but that's a hard injury to come back from. People rarely get back to 100%
  12. I mean the Bills aren't much better than the Phins right now. I am sure the Phins can get some short term relief if they offer Tua a big deal and cut down the 2024 hit. But yeah, the Ramsay contract is a millstone next for a 30 year old CB coming off of injury. Chubb's discount is set to run out next year. Armstead is uncuttable. They have some tough contracts. I'd still rather be them than the Jets in 2025
  13. I mean there are certainly other ways to use motion. It can be used to force a defense to show who is supposed to cover in man, or make a bunch formation. We didn't completely invalidate its use. But yes, it seems like a logical way to fight the "send Hill in motion to get a running start. Hill fast!" That seemed to be their passing playbook.
  14. The Dolphins board brought up a point (yes, I hate to credit them anything, and take it with a grain of salt) The Dolphins had been putting their man into motion right before the snap. And it works wonders because it caused confusion with assignments. McDermott looked at this trend and realized it was a better cue than a snap count and used that the time rushers, meaning that whoever was coming on a blitz had a jump. With that, whenever the first read wasn't there Tua was rushed and made bad calls. That part can be replicated, though I am sure that McDaniel can start using motion more conventionally. But a big part is the zone that the Bills play and the trust that we have in our back end to limit the big play. Hill and Waddle were each held to under 60 yard with no touchdowns. That's hard to do.
  15. Dude! What he does with his picture of Tua is supposed to be private!
  16. I think it's a bit of understandable vitriol after Miami was crowned champions Week 3. The Dolphins are a good team. They were a good team last year. But the hype they've been getting is unreal and it's nice to see reality set in that they are mortal
  17. Do we remember the last time that the inside of our O-line made us confident? Because I don't
  18. Spencer Brown hasn't been a liability. That right side has held against some top talent
  19. Apparently some of the Dolphins players were chriping on social media about how they couldn't understand why they were underdogs going into the game. They used that emoji And now Josh and Steph are rubbing their faces in it
  20. I was honestly shocked to see Tua out that long, down 28. Yes, there is a chance of a miracle but when your QB has an injury history like his why are you pushing your luck?
  21. As much as I hate to give Dolphins fans credit for anything they are pointing out something: McDermott timed blitzes based off of the Dolphins going into motion because they always used it a second before they were about to snap. It was a giveaway to get that extra jump. If so, McDermott is brilliant and 30 other teams have a blueprint on how to counter all that motion
  22. I'm not saying Tua is bad, but he needs everything to be tightly scripted. The moment he stopped getting those two second reads the Dolphins offense slowed. He made bad mistakes when he had to hold, read and deliver
  23. I didn't want to overstate this games importance. Neither team would win or lose the division today. But whoo boy would it have been tough to climb back two games behind with a 0-2 division record It feels good to be back on top
  24. I'm a downer at times but it's hard to be too critical when a team beats an undefeated division rival by 4 touchdowns. Were there minor blips? Yes. But the Bills were fully prepared
