  1. I will too. That's my point: this could be the moment. I think the Bills should prepare this week like it is. Do you want us to look back in a few weeks and say "man, I wish he had activated (insert one of many hurt players)" or "we should have gone for it here" This is the year where you lay it all out IMHO. Burrow is out but will be back next year. Rodgers will be back. KC has their worst receivers of the Mahomes era. Lamar still doesn't have a playoff track record. Stroud is going to get seasoned real quick. It is a crowded field and we are three games away from a championship. Why don't the Bills push every button. It's not fatalism it's the call to action.
  2. And the Colts had Payton Manning. How many times did the Colts beat Brady in the playoffs/win a Superbowl? Once
  3. That this is likely one the best chances for the Bills to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs in the Allen/Mahomes era. Bills home game, hitting their stride at the right time when the Chiefs have been lackluster...it seems like the moment to put all the chips in. I'm not saying it's impossible. But sometime there is a window that you see. A moment where if the choice is to rest a guy or play him, you give everything next year be damned. With the way we were playing in 2021, are you going to say we shouldn't have beaten the Bengals and Rams? Suit 'em all.
  4. As much as I dislike Nick Wright and think he is a blatant homer...that's not wrong. This is the worst receiving group the Chiefs have had in some time. They have $70 million more cap space than us next year. They are coming to our house. This seems like the moment to put it all on the line.
  5. Ok I couldn't listen. Good to hear, and it jives with what @HappyDayswas saying.
  6. Literal receipts even?
  7. He's officially in concussion protocol which means that it's out of the Bills hands. That said, it is possible he gets through the stages fast.
  8. What is this, a sideline for ants?!?
  9. Is it possible to simulate an avalanche that conveniently makes the entire Chiefs team disappear? Asking for a friend.
  10. Word from reporters, so it wasn't just a fever dream
  11. Lot of "Day to Day" designations in the press conference apparently. Taron Johnson officially in concussion protocol
  12. McDermott presser is live. I can't watch now, any updates?
  13. As much as I love to dunk on the Dolphins, there is a logic to this. Tua has a massive cap hit from his 5th year option. The Dolphins are just as over the cap as we are with even more valuable pending free agents, but while we have the luxury of kicking ~20M down the road on Allen's contract the only way they get to mitigate that hit is with an extension. And that means paying the going rate, purging some of your best talent or cutting bait and trying a QB from scratch. I didn't say it was good logic, and their situation is self inflicted, so I am enjoying their pain.
  14. Do we have official word on Bernard yet? I know the odds are against it, but I am hoping he could grit it out. I think there are decent odds the other things happen so it won't be necessary.
  15. I don't know, but the meme game is too good to pass up
  16. yuuuuuuuuup. Quick, get on the point line while you can.
  17. I am attempting words that convey my feelings without getting caught in the filter. Basically, urbandictionary (at your own peril) the first word and then imagine a condom with the outside encased with sandpaper, then inserted into the end of a digestive system
  18. Crud. He was the jismspit that picked out sandpaper condoms for us in the Eagles game
  19. My issue with calling it a "fake slide" is that it means that a QB can never wait for a blocker to push a running lane open, or a defender to over-pursue and that makes any officiating of a QB run a mess. Am I empathetic to defenders? Absolutely. We have to deal with it against Mahomes. The easier solution is getting rid of the slide rules. I have yet to see a slide when a player has knees bent, legs forward in line with the torso. Slides involve turning 90 degrees. "Fake slide" is sour grapes
  20. to be fair, that was over a helmet to helmet. I don't like it, but the refs were at least consistent in being overly protective.
  21. Look, I want to separate a few things here: One is my opinion on QB slides. I think they are overly enforced and tilt the favor further to the offense that doesn't need any more tilting. Two is "is that penalty accurate as called?" In my mind, yes. Allen began his slide, was fully on the ground and stopped. At that moment the play is dead. I know Allen sometimes sells the call a bit, but in Rules as Written, it's the correct call. You can think it's a "soft call", or lament the loss of smashmouth football and I'll be there with you. But those are the kind of calls that we would get against us all the time, so it's not like it's something new. Finally: if you think Allen did a "fake slide" on his TD run I need the contact information of your dealer stat, but request that you not watch Bills games while you are high out of your mind.
  22. Evaluated but never ruled in concussion protocol which is weird to me. But I think the Bills were never less than a 7 point lead so they might have wanted to play it safe. EDIT: Now in concussion protocol
  23. Pretty much. Blowout wins against the Lions, Niners and Dolphins. Split with the Browns. It seems that, like the Bills, they will play down to opponents a bit but all loses came to teams who had winning records. Of their losses all but one came from inside their division and division games are flukey. (See Bills, Buffalo 2023) and the only reason why they lost their last game was that they ran out their backups in a monsoon vs a Steelers team that was desperate. Now, I will never discount the possibility of Playoff Lamar showing up but this has been the best receiving group he's ever had. For note: here are his numbers.
