  1. How strong? Because nucci just had somehting that said 20 MPH, which I can live with. Conditions like the 6-0 wind game in 2021? Issue.
  2. The more I hear, the more this sounds like our defensive game plan is "stop the run, make Rudolph beat us through the air" lol just missed you
  3. Honestly that forecast is gold for me. A slight slickness so their run game is a touch slower/Rudolph's timing is a bit off, and winds where Josh won't be super accurate, but should be accurate enough on intermediate throws. Of course, if things change, so does the game plan.
  4. I mean certainly the first two and possibly the second but the degrees matter a lot. Cold? No. The Bills spanked the Patriots just fine playing in the single digits in 2021. Wind? A 25 MPH swirling wind you get in the Ralph will affect throws, but it favors Josh with a rocket arm over Rudolph. At 40? It's going to be a ground and pound. Are we talking flurries, or running in inches of snow?
  5. Dolphins agony? I think I saw it pop on my youtube feed but I didn't have time to watch
  6. Definitely. If he completely wets the bed and looks unprepared against a less talented but well coached and disciplined squad that has focused on limiting points then obviously he's not getting a free pass. That said, while he's mostly running Dorsey's playbook, I feel like his game plans have been mostly sound and he targeted defense's deficiencies well overall. The Cowboys game was masterful. Josh had a bad game vs a good defense with NE, but that appears to be on execution. In the Chargers and Dolphins game the offense moved the ball fine, it was just bad turnovers. The Chargers game I was fine with, Brady didn't make Harty or Cook fumble, that's a player ball security issue (and we're not benching Cook). There's not much Brady can do if Wilkinson had Josh in a bear hug and rips the ball out, and Brady had Kincaid schemed open on the 4th and 2 interception. But man, can he please stop using Gabe Davis in Red Zone situations.
  7. In his last two games his targets have gone back up. Which, in my mind, were the obvious choices, and he was wide open on his route on that second interception. For the most part, whenever we have given him more he has risen to the occasion. I know that getting the same targets as Diggs is impressive logically, but it feel like we need more of him. I can remember twice last game when he made a play. The first is where Josh fakes a handoff (play action pass!) and zips it for 28 yards https://www.buffalobills.com/video/josh-allen-zips-28-yard-sideline-strike-to-dalton-kincaid-bills-at-dolphins The other was a Cover 0 blitz beater In both you have to go "oh yeah, that's what you use a passing tight end for" and then wonder why we haven't been seeing it. No more Gabe Davis in the red zone, give me Kincaid!
  8. It means a defense first team is worse without it's best defensive player. It's a "no duh" thing and is in no way an assurance of victory, but it is relevant.
  9. Agree, but the point I think some of us are making is that not many successful proven OCs are footloose and fancy free at the moment (because usually really good OCs are on playoff teams), and those who are free or are becoming available after this weekend likely going to be picked over first by the teams that just fired their HCs. There are other avenues: if there is a toxic situation under one head coach, or a fired head coach (Reich) or assistant (Brady), or a retread, or some college mind that blows you away. But because of the insane demand to get the next Shannahan or McVay you are seeing OCs get chances to run teams they are not ready for and they are snatched up way too soon. We can look, and we should, but I temper my expectations that we'll find someone who can present a better plan than someone who has actually worked and had success with the players we have right now.
  10. Yeah no matter how to slice it, it's sad that a likely Hall of Fame player is getting healthy scratched. That said, I think we all saw that Tre White was nowhere near full speed in the middle of last season when he came back and it took until training camp this year to get the burst back. So I think it's possible that Von is back at full speed September and plays up to his contact. I'm hoping for it, because the other options are...grim.
  11. Wait...are you telling me that whoever has the most points wins the game? Analytics is amazing these days! 😁 (Not trying to give you grief man, just making a joke)
  12. That's pretty much where I am. I am not against letting a college coach try in principle. For instance, Daboll got his time as a playcaller at Alabama. But realistically, if they are a successful OC who isn't getting a head coaching nod why are they coming to us? Maybe there is some toxic situation, but even our options are likely Brady (who knows our players and tendencies, is already in the building), OC in contentious relationship in current position, OCs who didn't get the HC job and burned their bridges, outside assistant coaches, or college coaches. I'm not saying that the Bills should necessarily rubber stamp Brady. See what is out there. Hear some concepts. But it's hard for me to expect that we are getting much better than Brady (who previously had HC rumblings)
  13. Or a penalty, or a scrum that gets someone ejected. Again, I am surprised that his continued scummy behavior isn't getting punished. To continue my earlier comments, sounds like Wilkins is being a brat and waiting for daddy Allen to punish him.
  14. Assuming your not joking, I think that would be a smart pickup if he doesn't get snatched for another HC job.
  15. Yes... My point was that it got them limping into the 7th seed by playing conservative against vulnerable opponents. That's a lot harder to do vs playoff teams, many of whom have a better defense than the Steelers.
  16. Thanks for running the numbers. In my head it seemed like we were beating almost all of the playoff teams we came across The shocker for me is KC: 1-4. Oof.
  17. Wilkins is a creep. Always has been. It's mind blowing to me that he keeps getting away with this. Hey I am not going to leave out the power bottoms here. Though Wilkins certainly knows what it's like to be dominated by Josh Allen.
  18. I appreciate that. If someone does some post necromancy and wants to roast me fine, I deserve it. I made a bad choice and I'll live with it.
  19. Oh agreed. I think what I said is that he doesn't make the "big" mistake, and with a Steelers model of allowing teams to move but clamping down on points and winning ugly, not making the big mistake while playing the AFC South and an injured AFC North can win you games. But if the Bills get up two scores on them, I will not be shocked if mistakes start happening.
  20. Wow. I am a bit surprised about Vrabel. Considering the QBs he was given to work with he propped up the Titans for longer than most. It did not help when they traded away AJ Brown, who then went to the Super Bowl with the Eagles. Our new DC? A brief look says he loves zone
  21. I mean, it's not like they have an overwhelming overabundance of other options. Ruldolph has not made big mistakes in his three week run. Granted, that was to a down and out Bengals, a Seahawks team that got gashed in the run game, and the Ravens backups. I predict a lot of disguised coverages and single deep safety.
  22. He's definitely earned a place in the gameplan, though now teams will be accounting for him. His YAC is phenomenal
  23. Yup. And I realized that I was inappropriate. Again, my apologies.
