Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
So guys we have someone who makes splash plays against the run and can occupy two blockers. It's been a while is that still legal? -
2025 Trade Ideas Prior to the Deadline
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe this doesn't quite meet the brief but right now what is the point of Curtis Samuel? Everything we signed him to do is being done better than everyone else. Trading him mid season even for a pick swap would give only minor salary cap help but that's a roster spot opened for when we get Larry O, Hoecht and hopefully Hairston back. I'd like an upgrade too but that kind of move seems very Beane -
Taylor had a bit of a down week and didn't crack 100 yards. Cook got over that and a TD. Cook is showing why he commanded his payday. He has the second most rushing yards and has the most rushing TDs in the league at 5, more than Henry or Saquan

Game week thread - Pats at Bills SNF
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are we eager to get the taste of last game out of our mouths? I'm not sure it's going to be any better. The Bills are definitely better than the Pats but they have played is tough in recent years. -
Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky

To Marino's credit, I've heard people who offered glowing reviews of Walker have admitted that he's probably always going to be topheavy due to his height and length which is fantastic for pass rush but a liability for run stuffing. -

I don't want to be overly positive...and I'm failing. 😁 But seriously, while I can admit Walker still has his rookie growing pains, his splash plays show incredible upside. Right now we have plenty of consistently ok players on D, I am to take a few gambles for results -

Ravens vs Chiefs Game thread (the Bills lamp is lit)
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly I think that's the bigger long term effect. Even if the chiefs look mortal we all kind of assumed they'd rally to some extent by end of season. If the Ravens skid hard and early and lose most of their D I honestly don't know if they can keepup -
Week 4, Ain'ts v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Walker is still hit and miss, but when it's a hit it's one hell of a splash play and we badly need those. -

9/28/2025 GAMEDAY Bills vs Saints 1pm GAMEDAY THREAD
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's gameday people! Man do I appreciate the people locked into early mode because everyone else is still asleep -
Here's where I saw the difference is between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. Lamar has polished his skills to a playstyle that in the right offense (which he has) he's nearly impossible to beat. Josh has taken his skill set and found multiple ways to win. There are games where he needs to throw it 40 times. There are games where he needs to be patient & take what the defense gives him. There are games where he has to carry the ball for hard runs. There are games where he needs to run RPO and hand it off to Cook. Injuries affect all teams, but Lamar is so dangerous because of Derrick Henry whereas Josh can make something happen no matter who you roll out with him.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, let's kick the tires near the trade deadline and see what we have and how much cap there is to work with buuuuuuut If you aren't going to push your chips in now, when are you going to? The AFC East looks terrible outside of the Bills. KC and Baltimore are limping out of the gate. Houston has fallen off a cliff. I appreciate what the Chargers and Colts are doing but can they keep it up? The Bills have what appears to be an extremely favorable schedule. If not now, when? -

so...let's get this straight: having an OC call a balanced offense and not force feeding the ball to an aging diva can make QB play...better? 🤯 -
Game week thread - Saints at Bills

just but in Jackson Hawes! He can do anything! 🤪 But seriously I think we have the people to at least put Brown on a snap count -
One of the things I liked about Pettine's time (Rex disciple) was that he knew that he had something special in the Dareus, Kyle and Mario combo but on base sets would roll in a 5 tech (which is a lot easier to find than a 0 tech) to gum up run lanes and give those three one on ones. Plus Hughes rotating in for double digit sacks Man we had some amazing defensive talent that got wasted.
-
True. I skipped them for my quick rundown as they've mostly faded from use. that said you DO get players who break the mold. Wade Phillips runs a 3-4 but found himself with Bruce Smith and Phillips knew it would be a waste to keep a HoF talent run sealing
-
Long story short it's the lineman's general assignment. 0-tech: Directly over center, in charge of the gaps between the Center & Guards. Ted Washington 1-tech: attacks hole between center and guard. Dareus 3-tech: attacks between guard and Tackle. Kyle Williams, Ed Oliver 5-tech: DE in a 3-4, or run sealer in 4-3 7-tech: standard all purpose 4-3 DE. Groot. 9-tech: speedy edge DE or pass rushing OLB. Hughes, Solomon the point the article is trying to make that Walker looks like just a big heavy guy but is showing a surprising amount of speed and footwork instead of just shooting the gap.
