  1. Oh yeah. The Raiders were saying that they had won. I guess that message got *pulls on sunglasses* Intercepted. YEEEAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
  2. I second the need for heart medication. My heart was hammering in my chest from the moment the Raiders scored their last touchdown. But we pulled it out in the end...which is what winning teams do. GO BILLS!
  3. Well, we actually have to do that first. THEN I shall delight at taking a piss at the non-believers with you.
  4. Oh, they're better. We'll see exactly how good they really are later, but against a team we lost a squeaker to last season we staged an utter slaughterfest. We'll see what happens when they plays the Pats and Jets.
  5. Ok, so I'm kind of thrilled at our results today. But I always like to temper what I've seen with reason. Things I liked least: Thigpen...well, he wasn't exactly given starters but if Fitz goes down I'll be worried. Brad Smith's INT. Yeah, he isn't there to be a passer, but if we don't at least threaten a throw our Wildcat will be quickly countered. Things I Liked: Our Wildcat EVERY OTHER TIME. It completes short third downs, which means extended drives, which means second chances for TD's and keeping our guys off the field. Chandler-the man was a breakout. Even the threat of a game like today is going to force teams to tear up their current coverage assignments. Fitz-what can you say? 68% completion rate, over 200 yards, Four TD's, 0 INTERCEPTIONS. It's pretty hard to knock that. Thing I love the most: This week, the Bills currently have the biggest point differential.
  6. Bought a twelve-pack of beer, a gallon of cider and got wings. I need to keep going this. You know, to make sure we keep winning.
  7. I remember a few weeks ago reading a commentator's concern over losing "young talent" like Poz. HAAA!!!
  8. Not too crazy about the long bomb into double coverage, but the man got FIRST DOWNS!!! The Wildcat was gloriously successful today and I hope we can keep bringing it back as an ace in the hole.
  9. Well, if you're right then probably something about chewing the heads off kittens while talking about how the Raiders are going to absolutely destroy us.
  10. Umm...I thought I said that.
  11. I hope so. It seems that he's very grounded about the win. Yes, we looked great but no one saw us coming and we still have to see how we do against a top tier team. I won't brag until we beat the Pats
  12. I do think we need to take into account that NO ONE expected Chandler. I mean, there wasn't anyone NEAR him on his second touchdown. The CBS commentators were practically APOLOGIZING to Chan about bringing up our lack of production at TE. You can bet your ass that Oakland will be guarding Chandler next week. But even then, we still win. It was when they pulled people to guard Chandler that they pulled guys off Stevie and Donny. The more people we force them to guard, the more people Fitz has to throw to. Great game Chandler
  13. I couldn't watch any of the game, it wasn't on the air. Thought I will be watching the entire thing on rebroadcast later
  14. Agreed. If Fitz throws with 92% accuracy, that's the kind of doom I can live with.
  15. My uncle is a Buffalo expatriate living in Lawrence. Gates is pretty good, but I never got to try Arthur Bryants so I can't say. Wherever you go, try the Burnt Ends. Kansas is all about beef and burnt ends are the best part of the brisket. It has a higher fat content, so it takes longer to get really tender but it has that much more flavor.
  16. So we lose Poz and hire Barnett. We then lose Torbor and hire Morrison. All we need now is for each member of the O-line except for Wood to go down.
  17. I really hope that our best O-line people aren't the ones who we dredge out from the cuts. Awww who am I kidding?
  18. I paraphrase the Boondock Saints II: Whenever a person says "no offense" it means what they do say is rather offensive. Now if Maybin winds up alright for the Jets I'll be happy for him. He's not the first player who's gotten better after we left. But personally I doubt it, and one sack in a preseason game...well, let's not stop the presses.
  19. Sounds fairly solid. I mean, even if he is the new Poz this does 3 things for us: 1) It let's us put Moats back outside if we want to. And with Merriman conceivably getting injured, decent ILBackers seem to be a worthwhile investment to make. 2) From what I've heard while not great at coverage, his specialty is pass rush. We have no pass rush. 3) Considering that we picked him up for one year off waivers, we'll be getting him for much less than the ridiculous $45 million that Jacksonville gave for Poz.
  20. Hey, hey, hey. Are we talking about gambling on the health of one of our players. Of the health of a human being? On that many weeks? You, sir, sicken me. At least offer six.
  21. I'm hoping that Chan can pull a rabbit out of his hat in week one: some sort of trick that he hasn't wanted to show. The Chiefs aren't pushovers, but they are entirely beatable. Oakland: I honestly don't know about that. Also beatable, but I can't make a call on this now. Pats: If were are going to beat them, this is the time to do it. Sadly, I really don't think that we can this season. Even at home, evern with Brady aging and the Pats weakening I highly doubt that we are going to walk away from this one. Cincy: I think out of any game this year, is there is one where we have the best odds to win I have to go with this one. So, in my mind I would say worst case scenario: 1-3, Best case: 3-1, most likely: 2-2.
  22. I'm happy to see this! People are getting so down, and we haven't even started yet. Things I like: 1) Our new run defense. If Merriman and Barnett can be even relatively healthy and if Dareus keeps playing as he has or, quite possibly *gets better* I don't see us getting gouged on the ground nearly as often. 2) Our offense. Yes, we've kind of sucked this preseason. But if people remember last season, Fitz almost always got better as the game went on. I think that a spread offense works well with our O-line, and honestly think that Spiller would make a good option back. With Brad Smith coming in as a QB to run a real Wildcat that gives us options without having to rely too much on our O-line.
  23. Seriously? His second season hasn't even started yet! Maybe he's not the greatest RB to start out of college but let's give him a little time before completely writing him off. Let him work more with Jackson. This may come as a shock, but some people aren't immediately amazing when they start off.
  24. I'm worried too. Not for this injury, since he could probably tough it out. I'm worried about the injury which happens in week 3 and takes him out until the last game of the season.
  25. Well, I don't think he's going to rock any worlds. I mean, it's better than sending Stevie out all on his own. (Debatably better anyway) It's a good thing that got rid of that highly paid competent receiver Lee Evans. Oh wait...
