  1. I'm happy to see this! People are getting so down, and we haven't even started yet. Things I like: 1) Our new run defense. If Merriman and Barnett can be even relatively healthy and if Dareus keeps playing as he has or, quite possibly *gets better* I don't see us getting gouged on the ground nearly as often. 2) Our offense. Yes, we've kind of sucked this preseason. But if people remember last season, Fitz almost always got better as the game went on. I think that a spread offense works well with our O-line, and honestly think that Spiller would make a good option back. With Brad Smith coming in as a QB to run a real Wildcat that gives us options without having to rely too much on our O-line.
  2. Seriously? His second season hasn't even started yet! Maybe he's not the greatest RB to start out of college but let's give him a little time before completely writing him off. Let him work more with Jackson. This may come as a shock, but some people aren't immediately amazing when they start off.
  3. I'm worried too. Not for this injury, since he could probably tough it out. I'm worried about the injury which happens in week 3 and takes him out until the last game of the season.
  4. Well, I don't think he's going to rock any worlds. I mean, it's better than sending Stevie out all on his own. (Debatably better anyway) It's a good thing that got rid of that highly paid competent receiver Lee Evans. Oh wait...
  5. Fine. That's pretty generous under the circumcisions. ^^
  6. Answer: Yes you are. This is where we play our best players for one possession and let the injuries sort out the wheat from the chaff on the second stringers.
  7. ... Yeah, some people have made points. But I still think it was a ****ty deal. Lee Evans came off his worst week ever last season. But even so, a fourth round draft pick? Really? Really? I wouldn't be opposed to it if we: A) Actually had gotten someone *proven* in return. Not spectacular, *proven*. Someone to make a solid O-line, D-line or Linebacking Corps. or- B) We had a better history in the draft. At this point, honestly, other then Stevie Johnson, who can we look at and say: "That was a phenomenal choice we took after the third round?" I would like to remind everyone that the Bills have a history of having their best receivers be the 2nd and slot guys. While I am overjoyed that Roscoe was used well last season and Johnson showed amazing growth, do we think that we have the WR corps to back up Johnson? I hope Brad Smith stays healthy and can fill in for number 2, because I don't think Roscoe can do it.
  8. With an O-line that hasn't gelled in years, and considering that TE is a position that have been glorified blockers for the past five years... Well, we could do worse than a Lightning Bruiser at the position!
  9. Oh let them have their moment. He have our own with Dareus
  10. Personally I would be more interested in Burnett than Crowder. Poz was penciled in to be our weakside linbacker. Since the weakside LB is supposed to be the fastest the fact that he's light is an asset. Plus, he's coming off a solid season. (six sacks, two INT) But the more the merrier in the LBs...
  11. While I am a fan of the idea of putting in a 4-3 system, let's be honest here: Our Linebacking core is thinner than Amy Winehouse's corpse. Even assuming that we don't get a single injury throughout the entire season (Can anyone give me a line on that??) I really can't say that we are overcome with talent at that position. I've been looking around today and apparently a lot of people are releasing LBs. Who do you think we could get? Ty Warren just got released, but that was because he failed his physical. Could we bring him up to speed?
  12. Really, the only mistake I can think that we could make with this guy is to not play him. Or, you know, expect too much out of him in his first year. From what I heard he's damn good, and I think that it was a smart pick to take him. But we can't expect him to instantly solve all of our run defense problems. I know someone else on here said it as well, but if we go back to a 4-3 this year with Poz leaving hopefully the Bills can get Kyle Williams to support him.
  13. Yeah, but it's our joke of a team. And even after I bemoan the fact that we are still in for a rough season even if ChIx make all the right moves, I'm still going to root my ass off for them. So all haters: Shut the F k up and enjoy the ride.
  14. Thank you for this. Your approach is a reasonable way to deal with disappointment and has some good research on people we can look at from here.
  15. I seriously don't think that our O-line would have gotten much worse with his presence. Though this may be part of the ChIx (Chan/Nix) plan to pull in big names who are coming off injuries and hoping that they can get back. EDIT: changed tense, since he was re-signed.
  16. Any ideas about who we could sign? Maybe actually improve through this thing.
  17. I also don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but seriously: When was the last time that Poz did something that we were really excited about. In four years he's had three sacks and is part of the worst Run Defense in the NFL. My only concern is this: Who the hell are we going to get to replace him? Our backups aren't exactly hot commodities. Who can we get?
  18. Really refs? Really? Really? Not only do you not call penalties against the Phins, but you don't give us the clock?
  19. son of a B word!!!!
  20. Fred Jackson= our new QB
  21. Maybe we'll get a pass interference call this time.
  22. Now seriously O. Try to not at least not completely suck this time.
  23. At least the D has stepped up.
  24. Wow CBS. Go and congratulate a guy for cheating.
  25. Come on Trent, you can do it! Actually get into that end zone!
