  1. Complete calm and confidence the whole time
  2. I get the desire to see Coleman to do well but at least early on I think his best bet will be red zone. I can see him going off there
  3. This year really is a big experiment. I wish we weren't playing with so many variables but here we are. But come on I'm not missing this for the world
  4. I think that makes all of us. I am bullish and part of me thinks that the less we put in tape of what he can do the better because I think Brady is going to use him all over the field. But we just.. haven't seen it yet
  5. Buffalo pizza is something I miss the crap out of. So I've got some Battistoni pepperoni, made some pizza dough and am going to shred a block of whole milk low moisture mozzarella
  6. To be honest my reaction from the game is that the Ravens are having the same problems the Bills are expecting. Hopefully we sort them out faster
  7. Ravens, for two reasons: One I actually like the franchise. For a bunch of drought years I saw them as the model the Bills should aspire to: tough D, strong run game and an adequate QB. In general I don't find them obnoxious (except for the Lamar MVP truthers) so I often root for them in principle. Two, F the Chiefs
  8. Hey we got a YOLO sighting!
  9. I don't know man, four straight conference championships and a Super Bowl appearance was pretty darn good, never mind getting what he did out of Alex Smith. He has his flaws, but Andy Reid has arguably the strongest NFL coaching trees of this generation. Now as to the articles content I'm with Spencer Brown. One of the most demoralizing things I've seen in corporate culture is when some VP gets a hot nut for some idea. It won't work. You know it won't work. You break your back trying to make it work against all odds but when it doesn't it's rarely the VP in the cross hairs it's you for not delivering on this nut's delusions. I know football is different but I understand the sentiment.
  10. This reminds me A LOT of this piece about how Ben Johnson got a turnaround from Jared Goff https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2023/8/14/23830935/how-detroit-lions-offensive-coordinator-ben-johnson-fixed-jared-goff&ved=2ahUKEwiyyeHisqqIAxVEFFkFHQvABN0QFnoECCUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2qHv8BZdRHkBSW5BTC9ysi
  11. I am definitely staying far away from the spread. I think the Bills take it but I would not rely on winning by a TD
  12. I don't know exactly how Patriots vs. Bengals became such a draw. yarr time to be navigatin' the backwater streams
  13. Hey I think it's nice that they included all of their fans in the video too. That scorpion is probably their only season ticket holder.
  14. Here is why I am pissed: -I poopoo-ed the idea of Diggs being a diva from 2020 up until a month or two ago. -I blamed Josh for not throwing it to Diggs and instead targeting Shakir in the last Chiefs game. -I defended his level of play saying that even if he was dropping off it made more sense to add to his supporting cast -I was adamant that restructuring Diggs should be our way forward. I was willing to bet the farm he'd be here in 2024. So when he leaves and takes a swipe at Bills fans on the way out and now reveals that he forced his way out because he was worried about his target share because he wants to hit HOF numbers? Ok that gets to me
  15. I find it interesting that Shakir is designated as the only slot. I suspect we see more of him than just that.
  16. I just scoped out NFL+ Premium and I think I am getting a lot more bang for my buck: -live local radio broadcast for out of market fans (the WGR broadcast) -full games 10 minutes after they end and condensed games -All 22 footage For $100 for 12 months (replays through the off-season drought) this is much closer to what I need. Might I miss seeing some games live? Yes. I also have a newborn so I might be missing them anyway. This feels more like money well spent
  17. That's where I am. I have gained grudging respect for his ability to innovate. A lot of those motion plays he's developed are really clever. Having Achane and Mostert both in the backfield and letting Tua do a pop handoff that was effectively a read option was clever. But when it has come to game management and team management in the crunch the Dolphins keep coming up small. He keeps forgetting to run the ball in the second half. His scheme relies on a HOF WR and what would be a WR1 receiver on many teams using top end speed and never getting hurt Between letting the o line get downgraded, kicking Fangio to the curb because he was too disciplined and throwing all of the money at three players if they don't take it all this year the Phins are in trouble
  18. You see, the difference is, Rasheed Rice is Pat Mahomes best WR.
  19. Oof. Private equity is the equivalent of the Richard Gere in Pretty Woman/Gordan Gecko 80s stereotype of running the companies they get a stake in to the proverbial chop shop. Remember Red Lobster a few months ago? They got acquired by private equity who sold the real estate their locations were built on from under them. They will have the companies they bought take on debt to purchase assets the firm can flip for a profit and then leave the company they used to borrow against out to dry And the owners were ok with this?!?
  20. It's not that I think we found a surprise All Pro but it appears that he has excellent instincts and tackling ability. I tend to trust analysis from Cover One and their comp was to Dorian Williams as a downhill runner with a knack of shooting the gap. Considering how barren LB was at the end of last year having quality depth seems worth celebrating. With a year to develop who knows.
  21. Same. I like what Kingsley Johnathan was doing but Solomon is price controlled. Von Miller would need a career season to not be a cap casualty in 2025 so I want a proto-Jerry Hughes in the pipeline
  22. I in general poo poo the Dolphins as overrated and I think this away game is mitigated due to being a night game as you say. But here's the quandary I look at: We have a bunch of injured players who are week to week. Do you play them week one if they don't have a 100% pure clean bill or health, considering that the team is about to travel on a short week to the hellscape that is Florida in summer? If you do, you risk aggravating the injury in harsher conditions for a game that objectively has deeper tiebreaker ramifications. If you don't, are you leaving vital pieces away for a team that needs to gel week one due to a lack of starters in preseason?
  23. M Agreed. I will not panic if the Bills are 3-3 to start the year. We have a lot of new pieces and quality opponents. Losing week one makes getting to 3-3 a rough ride.
  24. This game??? I am conflicted because in pretty much every way this *should* be a blowout win. The Cardinals are baaaaad bad, have their WR group kneecapped to start the year and are flying to the East Coast for a raucous home opener. I can only see them winning by the Bills beating themselves. Unfortunately, we've seen so little of the starting offense together I have no idea what that looks like and with starters injured or held up I expect a healthy dose of rust. I remember the mantra: Week One is a Liar. The Chiefs lost opening day and then took another Super Bowl. No Week One game is a "must win" but looking at the schedule ahead? Things get *rough* if the Bills come out flat.
