  1. Well I will believe it when it gets confirmed. if so, it makes the browns look bad for passing on watkins. of course, when dareus has his own run ins with the law, i can't be on any high horse.
  2. i can't say bortles looks particularly better than manuel. The cleveland o Line was One of the few worse than our own last year so i want to see how johnny looks when he has mario chasing him.
  3. I would argue that graham will not be back. but still, it does make taking a TE in round seem less likely.
  4. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/3/28/5521124/2014-nfl-draft-sammy-watkins-video-scouting-report Alright, I am one of the first and loudest skeptics. But I was pretty impressed by what I saw looking through this article. I think that the bar has been set high, and I will continue to have my doubts until I see Watkins become game breaking. That said, he might just do it. +1 Thank you. You've said my hopes and concerns more eloquently than I could manage last night when I was charged with emotion.
  5. I thought it did too. Not that I don't think Watkins isn't a great player, but I really think he looks like a rookie Mike Williams. Maybe the Bills are planing to jettison him the moment before his salary hit jumps.
  6. *Twitch* I am sorry. Apparently, the language of bartering in your universe, wherein two things (plus one other) are exchanged for one singular thing, does not equal "traded away". Here, it means a description of an abstract concepts of "draft picks", where a pick from later in this year and a pick from early next year and a pick from slightly later from next year WERE MOTHERF*CKING TRADED for one pick this year. My argument is that this rate was too high. Whether or not you agree is part of friendly debate (as Dr. D mentioned). Please do not insult my intelligence. And please do not debase your own intelligence by stuffing your head so far up your ass that your interpretation of diction becomes so simplistic that it makes me want to inflict physical harm upon your person. Einstein.
  7. No.They traded this years 1st, next years first and next years 4th for a 1st...which is exactly what I said. Which is a FCKING LOT.
  8. Yeah. It's not as if we have two other WR who have recently (as of 2012) put up superior numbers, and we should expect Watkins to fight to crack that spot. I think you described Woods and Goodwin in steps 1-3. And, had we gotten Watkins at 9 I would be entirely OK with that standard. The trick is #4. He will. Have. To. Dominate.
  9. Yes. This is exactly my point. For what we gave up, we should ask for Megatron/Julio Jones productivity, commiserate of their first years. When you remember that neither of them cracked a 1000 yards I have to question taking someone with at "win now" mentality. To me, giving away two 1st rounds picks is a "win now" mentality.
  10. ...sadly, my potential meltdown over getting Beckham at 9 would have been worse. Look, I like Watkins. I really do. I will just REITERATE, Because people SEEM TO FORGET Trading 2 firsts and a 4th for 1 first is risky. I hope to see immediate production. I think that there is chance that production could have achieved with later picks. By giving up less. Or staying, and taking Ebron (who would have been there). So I see zero problem with holding Watkins to that standard.
  11. Annnd b*tchslap. Believe me, I am a F*cking pollyanna for this team.
  12. I can only hope that you are right. If we make the playoffs, I will fully eat crow. In fact, I will put it in my sig.
  13. It's not that I (slightly bitching this year) hate Sammy Watkins. It's more concern that the team is rolling everything on this year, especially when less risky gambles may have possibly been there, and with the pick causing an overflow at WR. It has caused me to violate something I swore I never would, and that is asking if Stevie Johnson is worth trading. *gags*
  14. ...Yeah. It's my F*ckig problem. I hope to see improvement in the team I root for. That's my F*ckig problem Beginning my fandom at the tail end of their Super Bowl years. That's my f*cking problem. Expecting, hoping, praying for, begging against all odds that the front office makes informed, incisive decisions with knowledge that I have not. Yeah, no control over that. Seeing the FO take a risk (and make no F*cking mistake, they took one tonight), and hoping that they were right...oh my, I wish that they were correct? Good golly! That never happens in Neverland!
  15. Fair point. And I, as a point, do dislike the term. And, had they waited until 9, or traded back, I would have defended such a choice in the extreme. But trading up, in my mind, puts an extra onus on what I expect.
  16. Thank you. It was a little dry, but I'm sure it will be fleshed out as time goes on. The more I see, the more I suspect that this year is playoffs or bust considering our ownership situation. GO BILLS!!!
  17. When we took Mike Williams, I kept thinking that a 4 WR set could be common. Now? Stevie? Mi. Williams? Woods? Watkins? Goodwin? Hell, we have a saturation of talent here, without having a single big possession player. My only hope is that they progress the Run and Shoot from what EJ was using last year and use that spread to let Spiller thrive.
  18. Don't see the link, would really appreciate a repost. Really? Name for me the things that Sammy Watkins does that Mike Williams cannot. Please. This is a sincere request. I've been looking over Mike Williams tape, and I have been nothing but impressed. I don't mind a 1-2 punch, but I still don't see a clear #1.
  19. Admittedly, I do not have a depth of personal experience. I have not broken down tape, and I fully admit that I may be wrong. That said, most reports I heard about have Watkins being a very diverse, very well rounded, skilled at screen play WR. Considering that EJ showed inaccuracy in screens, which could discount his worth. Considering (repeating YET A FCKINGGAIN) that his measurables and play style seem nigh identical to Mike Williams. Considering the price the Bills paid for him, that price demands immediate production. If he meets it, fan!@#$ingtastic.
  20. I did not see that article, as I don't live where the Buffalo News is easily accessible. Look, "Professional Kool-Aid Drinker" is part of my bit. And if Watkins is really that amazing, I will cheer loudly for him. But a nagging part of me keeps asking "Really?"
  21. I don't think I ever said foolish. I will stick with risky. As I have said multiple times, Sammy Watkins' skill set sounds almost exactly like Mile Williams. Both are 6'1-6'2, both are of similar speed (4.4-4.5), both have a great vertical, both have great route running, with an advantage to Williams with experience knowing that he has thrived in the league. Spending as much as we did makes Watkins a definitive #1 guy. Is he? With everyone we have? Is he?
  22. No, I would consider it giving up two first round picks (2014 & 2015) and and fourth round pick for one first round pick. It's costly. I dare anyone to contest that. The hope is that Watkins is so epic that is worth it. We will see. Especially with a WR group which now looks overwhelmed.
  23. *SIgh* Yes it does. *Breathes* I'm happy that EJ is happy. That said, I would have guessed Evans of Benjamin would have been better picks.
  24. Alright...now that I have calmed down down for a moment. And now that I am resisting the twitch of Mike Evans going #7 Watkins better motherf*cking own it. This year. This F*cking year. That seems rational, right?
